You know, I think this is an awesome idea but its elf! I mean, why schedule a non-existant time for something no one can plan. People will always arive late, while others will read slower and maybe stay behind. Some people may notice that they're not ready to read it, while others might want to contemplate sections for a while.The reason I think this is an awesome idea is that people can reply to the Canto threads as they read those sections, and thereby obtain a more thorough understanding of Gooberz. You see, we are all reading it at the same "time". Each seperate thread simbolises a different era of our reading! You have "un"consciously created a situation where everyone can read along in all cantos simultanesouly! You're truly one awesome dude Randall! Dean. IP: Logged |

I agree with Dean. It's hard to get a bunch of people together to read a book at the same time. My friends and I have tried this with a few different series books. It doesn't work out. Some people read faster than others. Some people have more free time to read than others. Some people (like me ) have to stop for a while and let things sink in before they can continue on. AND some people (like me ) have a hard times stopping when they're supposed to and find themselves having finished the book before they were supposed to. Kinda like cheating  But I just can't help myself sometimes!!! Starting threads discussing Cantos would be cool. I think it would probably be a bit much to have one for EACH Canto. Well, I'm just starting, again, and you'll see me posting as I go along. Think I'm gonna read the cantos, write my own thoughts to post before I even read others comments, so I don't get influenced.....Will be so great to see what others have to say and share my thoughts on this!!!  Think it's just too difficult to get everyone organized at one time, the idea to have strings for all the cantos is excellent, we can all go at our own pace  IP: Logged |
