My facebook is deactivated, and I just wanted to say hello.

I'm not feeling well. August was full of loss: first my cousin, then both Minnie and Teasel, somehow dying on the same day. I wish we could have had a necropsy done, because I don't know if the same thing killed both of them, or if it was just really awful timing. Dad buried them together, when I was sleeping on Sunday morning. Since Teasel inspired my username, I might put their chart up at some point (they were twins, Teasel being the elder of the two).

Aside from that, there is suddenly a lot of stuff growing in our garden: cucumbers, sugar baby watermelons, green peppers, tomatoes (mostly small ones), onions, beets - before the watermelon started to overtake them, squash, corn (I think it's still growing), lettuce, basil, lavender, and I need to plant more peas. Something was eating the collards and cauliflower, but they're both doing better now.

Anyway, I'm missing people, so I wanted to say "hi".

I used to always have trouble growing watermelons. They wouldn't get very big and then would start to rot.

Hey girl, I know August has been very rough month and I hope things get better for you.

Loving the news about the garden though! I've been helping my mother growing a few spices and herbs myself and I'm excited for the outcome. I would eventually like to do what you're doing with actual vegetables too. Virgo Moon, you know, I just have a weird thing about growing my own stuff.

Hi Love. What happened to facebook?
Yes, that's a pretty crappy month, alright. I'm sorry. How heartbreaking about your kitties passing on the same day- but also, sort of comforting when you think of them coming into life together and then into death together. It's beautiful, yet hard at the same time.

You're so gentle and lovely. I just know autumn is going to bring fabulous things to you.
Lots of love and healing for you.

I miss your facebook.

And August HAS been pretty horrible for some, cardinals didn't like that cross.. I know my Moon and Mars have felt it too. blah.

Almost over with sweetheart.
Things will turn around, you'll see, I have a good feeling about you, I think by Christmas you will be feeling like a whole new you.

Hey teasel,

I deactivated mines a few months back as well, but most of my friends live very close by (some even on the same street!) so I didn't miss everyone so much. I'm sorry about your cats, hope you're feeling better today.

So many very sad things for you, so sorry.
I hope things get better for you soon.{{{hugs}}}
Love you sweetie!

PS.
I was not well enough to do a garden this year.
I get a kick out of folks saying they get too many summer squash and zuchinni, and tell them I will buy all their excess, but oddly no one yet has come forth with excess I can buy. Was tempted to put sign up;
"leave all your unwanted squash here!"

I keep meaning to reply to this, but I keep crying. I forgot to add the option to receive notifications.

I deactivated Facebook when I sent a message to my aunt, when there was something going on here, and I didn't want a response. Minnie was sick at the time, and then Teasel was sick, and I deactivated again because I was so freaked out. I did the same thing last New Year's Eve, when I thought Bertie was going to die, just before midnight, and then again at gone 2am. I didn't delete anyone, so I hope nobody thought that.

I've been having around a couple of others sites, but this place feels even more personal to me. I've been missing you all terribly, but it seemed so quiet whenever I would pop in; I've been missing T, Juni, racole and MysticMelody, too.

I felt almost homesick when I posted this thread, and then again over the past week. I didn't want to be posting here when I was feeling so consistently down; I did that last year and earlier this year, and that's still the way I am, although I've been more grounded here and there. I'm so tired of feeling so very dramatic, and then so normal and then so DRAMATIC, and then so normal. I've been wanting to send a small something to T, and I thought of something else for Gypsee, but I can't buy it yet, and then I was wondering about something else for MM and racole. Money has been going to ER visits, and I lost my local haunt with Borders closing down; we were regulars in their cafe. We've been to the movies a few times over the summer - saw Super 8, the Tom Hanks movie, and the Harry Potter finale (that one was at the drive-in, and too dark unfortunately). that was before all hell broke loose.

My sister was planning to get married this month, but she'd pushed it back to December. I still don't have a passport (her fiance is in Canada) and it turns out that he needed a new one, too, so he needs that to come down here. She was supposed to be filling out the paperwork for citizenship (or to be a legal citizen, anyhow), but that had to be pushed aside for a little while, too. (Pluto apparently saved his "magic" for this past cross over her Sun at 5*Cap. She shares a birthday with AG.)

It feels weird having one of these threads that's about me. I'll be back to reply more individually, but I want to post this before my computer gives out again.

Racole is meeting me here.....

If there is any way possible that you would want to go, let me know..
Just think about it.
If you could get yourself here, I could get you there, and back here, and you could go home that night, or Sunday if you felt comfortable.

Why not get out of your head for a minute..
Would love to see you.

Dennis isn't doing well, and I've had a really confusing, exhausting few days. I didn't sleep well either, so I'm going to try to do so now. I might sleep on the floor with him. Over a month ago, I curled up on a blanket on the kitchen floor, fell asleep with my book in my hand, and when I woke up, Den had his head resting on that hand, and was also sleeping. They were all healthy at the time.

Testing... if this works, it's Teasel in front of the tree, three years ago.

Hi Teasel

Thought it was time to come back and catch up. I was trying to yesterday but lately my computer has been switching itself off. Yesterday when it happened it wouldn't turn back on so I'm posting this from my niece's.

Lovely pic!
My first ever cat looked a lot like Teasel! I can see her if I take out the (img) bits ...

I wish this hadn't been such an awful year for you
Some think of pets as 'just' animals, but I know they were your babies and I'm sorry you've lost four, and your cousin, in such a short time.

Have missed you!
