Hey everyone! I'm Rianne and I'm from the Netherlands. I'm in university and studying to be a translator of the English language. I do a part of the studying from home because of health problems. It's easier this way.

I got into Astrology about half a year ago, when I found out it's way more than just a sun sign. I've been reading along on threads (googling for chart questions lead me here!), but it took me a while to feel confident about posting.

Leo Sun, Libra Ascendant and Capricorn Moon. Chart ruler Venus, Mercury & Mars in Virgo.

Ah, it's okay. Nice beaches! Have you ever been there?

Sadly the health isn't going to get much better anytime soon, so I'll just have to live with it. But thanks anyway.

Hi again! I spent a few days in Amsterdam, and really loved it. Then I got to see some of the countryside on a train ride to Cologne, Germany. Never got to the beach, though.

Cheers

Never been to Cologne, but the train rides to Germany are nice. I hope you'll have a chance to see the beach some day! It's so beautiful in winter. What did you like most about Amsterdam?

And I'll do my best with feeling better.

Amsterdam...I loved the smell of food cooking on the streets...little fried balls of food but I forget the details

Loved the bike paths and all the bicycles.

Loved the canals and houseboats.

My friends and I went to the Anne Frank house and that was terribly sad, but a good experience.

Thank you for working on feeling better.

Fried balls of food? Sounds good enough for a billy goat like me!

Bitterballen maybe??

Tried to find the most Dutch one as I could! They're good. And yep, very tasty, heavy fried balls.

Yeah, they know how to get you to eat in the cities. I always get hungry passing those steets. :|

The Anne Frank house is really impressive. Those stories... ugh, can't imagine what it must've been like.

Funny about those canals and bikes 'cause it's everywhere in NL!!

Ahhh you're making me hungry!! Yes, I remember those things!

So you say NL is full of canals and houseboats? That's great news to me...the more, the merrier. I am fascinated by that kind of "real estate."

I was a hardcore environmentalist when I visited Amsterdam...almost 15 years ago...and was so delighted and shocked with all the bike paths. It was like heaven! I was thinking, "Finally, here's a place where people know how it's done."

Seen it, so you can delete it now!

How do you pronounce it? I'm sure it's a little different from the Dutch way. Cool he got that name, though! And yes, I know the Pearl Earring, mostly from the film. I have to, haha.

It's not like that in your country? Guess I didn't know how good those bike paths are! Biking's pretty popular over here.

Don't know about all of them, but I think so? A few more cities have them. Don't know about every one of them, but there are some - like Delft! - that are full of them.

Hi again! Well, he has a nickname we use most often~ we just take off the YO, that simplifies pronunciation. Then the "a" is pronounced "ah."

I think there are places here and there that have bike paths, but I've never seen them in cities, except Washington DC, I think (??? trying to remember.)

Delft...my brother visited there and raved about it, I think he wanted to move there.

Talking to you is making me want to travel!!!

See you around!

So it's like "Hans"? That's way easier, yeah!

Haha, I hope that's in a good way! I'd love to visit the USA someday, if I ever manage to save enough money.

Are the cities too busy for that?

Ahhh. That's almost cute. So Delft has major foreigner appeal? (I don't live there, though.)

Sure, see you. I really liked talking to you.

Thank you so much!

Yeah, it's tough going through life with something that's always going to be there, isn't it? You don't want to let it get you down, but sometimes it does with what you can and can't do. What kind of disability do you have, if I can ask?

My back's pretty bad - scoliosis - and I've been suffering from migraines since I was 13. Learning disability as well (ADHD). That's why I'm still in university. It really slows things down. There's more, it's a pretty big list. (Forgot to check this thread!)

Welcome! It's nice to meet another with Aphrodite as their chart ruler. I hope your health isn't too bad. If you've read about medical astrology, I've had some issues with Aphrodite.

Thanks! Nice to meet you too. Ahh, Libra or Taurus rising?

Ah, it's not really that bad, it's more the amount of issues I have to cope with regarding my health. That does a lot to me, especially mentally.

What kind of issues did you have?

I've checked some medical astrology websites, but I see most of my health issues through my sun. Aside from the migraines, my back/spine has always been weak and had a heart operation shortly after I was born.
