Hi friends,

I KNOW it sounds crazy - and I hope I don't get on your nerves with that. But: Currently I am lucky on the one hand – and miserable on the other. I have to make a tough decision – have to choose between 2 great job offers at once. After 2 years of painful agony, everything suddenly looks brillant again – but I am totally confused and awfully afraid to mess it up now!!!

Totally surprising I received a glamourous job offer 3 weeks ago – I was overwhelmed, agreed to that job-offer already - but haven’t received and signed the contract yet. Now, this week, a second job offer came to me, right at x-mas. A different company. They heard about the first job-offer … and sort of topped that offer now in order to win me over in the last minute!

I KNOW this sounds like a “luxurious problem” – but a lot is at stake for me and my personal future. I MUST make the right decision now - and feel very much (!) under pressure.

I’m gonna post two persona charts below, these are about the respective company’s names. (I found two asteroids that carry almost exactly the names of these companies – I studied the placements of these company-name-asteroids in my own natal chart – and then made up two persona charts on these companys’ names, based on their placemtents in my natal chart – so the charts below will be about these companys’ “personae” in my life, which role they might play in my life and all.)

Please if you have a minute to spare, could you try to share your impressions with me? Which one seems more promising to you? I am lucky & desperate at the same time – and I definitely could make good use of a few impressions. THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE!!!

JOB-persona No.1.)

TOWN: I like that new town! (but it will be quite difficult to organize an apartment there)
COMPANY: glamourous, rather “trendy”, large
POSITION: My position would be enhanced, a bit like a “vice”-boss-position (but less than that) - I’d be only one "leading figure" amongst a dozen leading figures
TOPICS/CONTENT: I’d have to deal with more or less superficial topics, but I could handle it well
PAYMENT: very good
>>>> would be the “safer bet” – but chances for some “prominence”/promotion are not very high – more a “solid” thing in a town I like very much

Important aspects between Job-1-persona and my natal chart (conjunctions only, orbs 0-1):

JOB1-ASC: cj. my BM Lilith / cj. my Part of Fame / cj. my Sun/Pluto-Midpoint /
cj. my Mars/Mc-Midpoint

JOB1-SUN: cj. my Moon/Pluto-Midpoint

JOB1-MOON: cj. my Moon

JOB1-MERCURY & -JUPITER: cj. my “Gutbezahl” (“well payed”)

JOB1-VENUS: cj. my Leviathan

JOB1-MARS. cj. my Sun/Moon-Midpoint

JOB1-SATURN: cj. my Saturn

JOB1-Uranus: cj. my Moon/Mars / cj. my Jupiter/Pluto

JOB1-N.N.: cj. my Pholus

JOB-persona No. 2.)

TOWN: contrary to above, I don’t like that town! (but they offer a very nice apartment with that job, right from the beginning, no hassle with finding a nice place to live in)
COMPANY: renowned, but rather small – controversial, more on the “independent” side
POSITION: My position would be very (!) enhanced – starting as a “vice”-boss – with the prospect of taking over the whole thing (!) as the leading manager after a few months (if the “test-phase” works well)
TOPICS/CONTENT: Sophisticated, interesting, on a much higher intellectual level – also controversial - can lead to disaster or to a triumph - not so “easy to handle” as job No. 1 – if I should fail with this one, my reputation would suffer severely
PAYMENT: not as good as with company No.1 in the beginning – but prospects hold a much greater capacity
>>>> would be the “more risky” thing – in a town I don’t like very much – but if it works fine, it would make me quite renowned/prominent in my branche, nationwide ….I’d really be an “important person” then – but if it doesn’t work … huh.

Important aspects between Job-2-persona and my natal chart (conjunctions only, orbs 0-1):

JOB2-ASC: cj. my Vesta / cj. my Sun/Jupiter-Midpoint / cj. my Mars/Jupiter-Midpoint

JOB2-SUN: cj. my Odysseus / cj. my Node/ASC-Midpoint

JOB2-MOON: cj. my Saturn

JOB2-MERCURY: cj. my Valentine & cj. my Parts of Security / Benevolence / Juvenalis

JOB2-VENUS &-JUPITER: cj. my ASC / cj. my Neptune

JOB2-SATURN: cj. my asteroid “Strong” / cj. my Mars/Node

JOB2-URANUS: cj. my draco MC

THANKS for looking at this! Even short replies/impressions would be appreciated!

Okay, here's my natal chart with current TRANSITS:

And here's my natal with current PROGRESSIONS:

P.S.: Strange coincidence: Both companies' name-asteroids are placed close to each other in my natal chart. Both are close to my Vertex (1dg/3dgs apart).

Another P.S.:

Transits:

Job 1 company-asteroid is currently transiting my 5th-house-cusp. Job 1 boss's name-asteroid is currently transiting my 1st house, widely conjunct my Moon (5 dg.)

Job 2 company-asteroid is currently transiting my 3rd house cusp. Job 2 boss's name-asteroid is currently transiting my 10th, cj. my natal Pluto.

I have written about ten answers to this and deleted them all!
I suspect you might be able to do both.
I think the second one will still be there or a vacancy will still be there in a few months time.
Which means you could try out the first and see how it pans out.
If the move is too much hassle and you feel you won't progress fast enough ring up the second one and say just that.
They obviously like the cutthroat approach which is why they are trying to poach you now.
But truly alvarella in your gut....no stars...your gut...what do YOU feel?
Get a friend to read out what you have written about each job.
Then tell her to give you 3 seconds to choose, no pausing, you have to give an answer.
Your instinct will make you choose the
right one.
You have to take into account time out of work too otherwise life becomes unbalanced.
It's all very well having a well paid high powered job but if you are too knackered or stressed at the end of the day to enjoy it's rewards, the object defeats itself.

Last resort. Put two bits of paper in a hat (job written on) pick one out.
If you feel disappointed by the one you pick out it's the wrong one. If you feel reasonably happy that fate has chosen that one,it's the right one.
Wish I could be more helpful but don't think you can ever make a wrong decision.
We merely make decisions.
Wrong or right we will never know but everything has a way of rebalancing itself.
Good luck!

hi alverella, from your natal chart I think what you need most through work is a steady, reliable, status increasing kind of job,I'd bet on you being very particular in how you actually do your job and very quick on spotting details that others overlook,I'd say choose the job which will let you work to the best of your ability,I can see why the 1st is an attractive offer but wonder why you waiver? Because mars will be hitting your 4th house soon in pisces are either of these places near water or do you feel a "spiritual" connection to one?or maybe links from grandparents to one of these places

Thank you so much for taking part in my decision process!;-) This really helps, your replies are an element of the pro-and-con-process in my mind now ...;-)

BUNNIES: Your impression is right - There's no so obvious dis-advantage with any of these jobs ... they're almost equally good - which makes the decision-process so hard ... Following your advice (that wise advice;-)) I just listened to my guts again ... and my FEELING tells me ... that I should stay with job no. 1. I just feel more lust to do it and also like that town so much, I feel much "fresh air" coming to me with job no.1 - whereas job no. 2 also brings some subtle feeling of a "burden" with it - which I cannot explain rationally. (?)

IQHUNK: Also a nice suggestion, haha. To be honest: I wouldn't work AT ALL if I had all these bucks on my account already, haha. Seriously: If I'd just take the living conditions into account (how would my private life situation look with job/town 1 or with job/town 2) ... then again job no. 1 would give me the more comfortable feel. I just like that place where I'd have to move to.

AFFLICTEDVENUS: Your reply is a great surprise! At first: One of your impressions is not really accurate - but rings a bell in my mind, nevertheless: You wrote that probably I crave secure surroundings etc. Well, the opposite has been true for the last 7 years of my life: I cancelled my last employment on my own will and then went "free lancing" for the last seven years, and did anything but "safe and secure" jobs - all very risky and adventurous instead, and all self-employed..;-) BUT: Currently I really crave a different, more "based" work situation again, that is absoulutely true! I'm looking forward to "teamwork" again - maybe I have neglected this part of myself over the last years. So, your impression in that is right and wrong at the same time! As far as WATER is concerned ... WOW!!!! Job/town No. 1 is near WATER/seacoast - that is absolutely right!!! And, as mentioned above, even if it will be difficult to find an affordable apartment there, I'd love to move there. So ... you perceived that WATERY element involved very well, absolutely to the spot!!! ;-)

I guess I've come to a conclusion now (almost): Will stick with job No.1 - and keep job-offer-2 as a back-up-plan in the back of my mind. Who knows ... if project No.1 won't work ... maybe I can come back to the second offer at another time.

I just wanna feel free and unburdened when I start my new job, and I wanna immerse myself into it 100%, without any doubt and road blocks (in my mind). I'll go with my guts. Your replies support me in that. So: THANKS, friends!;-)

hi again,
It's interesting you mention burdens with the 2nd and your saturn is on the companys moon and I wonder whether you sense you may end up feeling responsible for the company's emotional well being(if that makes sense)
uranus has been going over the bottom of your chart(I've had this too since 2001) and I'm not suprised you've been restless,
I mentioned the stability because of all that earth Alvarella and saturn in taurus in the 6th? deary me what would the ancients say?
tis all very posiitve stuff and I hope you enjoy it to the max

Hi alvarella

I agree with bunnies.

First one is good. Second one, is more about the 'perks'. Maybe you are kidding yourself a bit(not rudely meant) about meeting some of the criteria.

The first one is more getting back to your roots is it?

Just an impression...

Hy Chriseis,

thanks to you too for looking at these "job-charts". Well, yes Bunnies made a point there. And you are right as well: The second job would really be a big, big thing - some media-attention included (temporarily, in my branche only), if I accepted it. But: risk included!

From my own gut feelings I'd got for the slightly more comfortable thing (job 1) at the moment - I just have passed some stressful and unsatisfying two years or so ... I definitely need some moments of success to come again!;-)

I spoke to a handful of friends an colleagues ... and from their advice, it's 50:50. Some say I'd be a coward if I evade the second offer ... because it has SUCH great potential. But it also has a great potential for failure. This is especially due to the fact that it is a small company - their owner is their current boss - he is a very controversial person!!! Some like him, some hate him - weird, but famous reputation for him. He's over 60 years now ... if he really would hand over to me the responsibility for his company ... the HARDEST thing would be to still have him "watch me over my shoulder".

Whereas in job no. 1 - they'd welcome me as a new "force to their troops" and would let me work more in my way.

HM. SO difficult.

Neither of these jobs is close to my hometown. But I do know both cities quite well. No.1-city is near the seacoast and I prefer it to the second one, clearly!

Hi Alvarella,

yeah, first one a little bit like...zzzzzzz, butfor some reason like falling off a log so to speak, routine maybe...roots as in you could be yourself perhaps, comfort zone as you might say.

2nd one, yeah, unsettled and the head honcho not sure what really wants to do...kind of clutching at straws - opportunist. Plays cards close to chest despite outward displays of openness.

I think you'll end up at the first place because your saturn conj. its saturn near the mc.
Saturn is the planet of career and yours fits in with that company's image and goals.(=Mc) Also because of that placement I think you will do very well at that place.

The other company still had the saturn in taurus but not in the 10th (which is important to consider when the question is in regards to career).

Also the 2nd company's mars is opposite your saturn so I think over time you would feel pushed, pressured and uncomfortable.

Either way Good Luck!

Which is the one that you made the recent thread about? That one is not what you want it to be.

IQ's advice is good. If it wasn't about money - which one would you take? Which one "feels" right/good?

Thanks a lot for the even more replies!

PEACE ANGEL: Do you mean this thread: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/020508.html?

This was about job no. 1 (from above) - the first offer I got - and the one I'm gonna stick to for good.

I have quite a dfiicult handful of days behing me, making this decision - and your replies helped me a lot, because - basically - I felt supported in going with my "gut feeling".

Yeah - GOOD GIRL, thanks for opening my eyes to these two special factors: My Saturn cj. company 1's MC - and company's 2 Mars opposite my Saturn - this tells pretty well about what my instincts tell me.

I haven't relied on my instincts alone, though. I also spoke to some friends and confidantes who know about my branche and my job situation. Talked to six "real life"-people over the last days - 4 have voted for company 1 as well (my own preference), only 2 think I should take the risk with company no.2.

ANYWAY: I made up my mind - and it had to happen fast, my gosh - right over the holidays...! (Also a thing I don't like about the 2nd offer, like putting a pistol on my chest: decide now or never, this is a last minute offer, etc. No good feel from that!)

I am in a perfect frame of mind again: Just looking forward to the original job offer and to all the change involved with it!!!;-)

Fact is: Transiting Uranus will trine my Sun and square my Moon over large parts, the next year. So, some "relcoation", "new life organisation", some unstability, change and refreshment are in the cards anyway. Also tr. Saturn will cross my MC again and will also trine my Saturn again, even twice - during Saturn's retro- and forward-motion. It will wander on through my 10th house then ... really seems to be the right time to make some change and accept some new (professional) responsibility.

This time ... the stars definitely are working "according to the books";-) THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT
