Happy 2009!

Question: When Mercury goes retrograde, how are people who have natal mercury retrograde affected? I have a friend who has a natal mercury retrograde in Aquarius and I know the next retrograde will be in Aqua and he has to take an important exam during it...I'm wondering how it's going to affect him.

Any thoughts and insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Your friend must not leave any exam preparation to chance. If calculators or computers are to be used in the exam, they must be checked and/or replacements be made ready for a sudden crash. Omitting certain parts of the syllabus thinking they wont be asked will also be disastrous.

I find that people with natal Mercury Rx aren't as affected during retrogrades.

Like, nothing ever really goes bad for me during retrogrades. While everyone else freaks out, I'm normal.

I have a friend with rx Mercury in Virgo, squared by Saturn.

during the retrogrades, he has a lot more initiative and self-confidence; he does and says things he doesn't normally do or say. he can't explain it, but I'm guessing he doesn't second-guess himself so much; or maybe he thinks more clearly.

this is interesting...

do any of you natal merc retros have speech impedements (studdering, lisps, etc)? or have been left back/repeated a grade in school?

cristiname...i have bought computer related items before during merc retro and i have had trouble with them...they were under warranty so i did get them replaced (no cost) when the "coast was clear" and had no problems with the replacements. i would suggest taking out a protection plan or extended warranty on your items. Good luck!

thank you all for your insight

I had to be in speech class as a kid for saying my "f" and "th" the same. AND I got held back in kindergarten for not being socially developed enough (which is to say, the class bully hated me and everyone else followed him).

I also am not affected by Mercury retrograde. I thought everyone freaking out about it was a whole lot of bull for years because nothing happened to me. I've had one thing go wrong during an MR- my apartment flooded because other idiots forgot to turn the water off- but that's it. I guess that was other people's fault more than mine!

i have a retrograde Mercury too, and things DO go wrong big time for me. but it always ends alright, and i can just laugh about the events afterwards. as long as it doesn't cause any damages, as a Sagittarius i even enjoy the thrill...

i have natal rx mercury in leo, honestly it has never affected me. even last time when mercury was retrograde, i had to sort out some visa travelling paper issues - they were done within a day! and i had to travel the very next day during mercury retrograde. everything turned out to be fine
