Anyone have planets in these houses? What is your experience? I found these listings to be very extensive. For example...If you have Sun or Venus or Mars, maybe in the 3Rd house...is there something about your shoulders, arms, hands or fingers? Are they exceptionally well formed? Share anything, Im curious!

3rd House; 9th House

The Third House involves changes caused by the individual's chosen actions, whereas the Ninth produces changes caused by outside forces.

The Third House has signification over siblings, cousins, and other relatives and relatives-in-law; neighbours; friends; travellers; messengers; slaves; writers; letters, messages, and rumours; short or inland journeys; frequent changes of place; royalty; goddesses; mitigation; jewels; the colours red and yellow; and the shoulders, arms, hands and fingers.

The Third House also signifies the faculties of mental synthesis and reason; education; intellectual interests; the local environment; perception, and the formation of sense impressions within one's environment; memory; speech; daily movement; changes; dexterity, restlessness, and accidents; cleverness; news, and all communications; magazines and books; and personal publicity.

The Ninth House has signification over voyages and long journeys overseas; foreign countries; religious people, and especially clergy; church livings; religion; God or gods; divine decree; destiny and fate; books and learning; philosophy; dreams and their interpretation; visions, and revelations; divination, astrology, and soothsaying; the family of one's marital partner; social class; friendship with and benefit from kings; and the bottom, hips and thighs.

The Ninth also signifies the abstract mind, intuition, and inspiration; a sense of purpose; deeper mental interests; higher education; the search for new horizons; one's sense of responsibility towards relatives, and towards collective needs; imports and exports; residence abroad; grandchildren of oneself and siblings; far-reaching advertising and publicity; worldwide contacts; racial ideas and ideals; publication of one's own writings; and organised sport.

I've found Venus in the 9th likes foreigners, people who are 'exotic' in some way. Double true if that Venus is also in Sagittarius

My North Node is in Capricorn in the 9th and I'm a writer. A lot of my writing is also tied in to my past (documenting South Node stuff lol), as I integrate it into my NN. And a lot of it has in some way had to do with cultural differences and travel. I've got Lilith in there too, so the writing always feels like its stirring up some kind of controversy among the family. Lots of fights have been had about it (Saturn falls between 2nd/3rd, in Cancer) when it's published and on the way to getting published.

It's interesting to see the astrology of it all

I have:

neptune in 3/2 house, sagittarius
north node in 3 house, sagittarius
venus in 9 house, gemini

jupiter in 6 house, pisces
mercury in 10 house, cancer

my arms look long and thin. my thighs and hips are curvy / heavy/ big / fat - at least bigger than the rest of my body. when I exercise often my arms look stronger and of course my legs and hips get thinner, but still make me look kind of curvy. Perhaps ascendant libra might have some influence on this.

I've alwasy found intellectual work difficult. Especially "faculties of mental synthesis and reason". Even though I have done well in analytical thinking tests, theories, debates, in classroom or books or anywhere are boring to me. I can't memorize and compare models and theories, etc. I learn better from practical work and personal experience. (now that Im older I realize how it's a weak point for me to develop in general, and especially professionally).

It's true Im attracted to things foreign. In my jobs I've almost always had interaction with foreign counterparts. International travels: some, but for short periods of time, 1 week, 1 month, etc. I've always wanted to live abroad for sometime or take a longer journey, but haven't seriously tried to make it happen, because it seems it's a long way from my present life conditions - well dealing with practical things is something else I need to improve.

I can't find anything significant to mention about the other areas of influence of the 3rd and 9th houses that you mentioned in your question.

astrology and other "higher minded" stuff, my partners family (9th) are foreign ( also his dad is a leo further emphasis)
practically everything you have written has a practical application in my life, except the literal travel which I'm hoping to do when the kids have left home

i have the 3rd house in Virgo Domicile Mercury in Virgo conjunction Domicile Venus in Libra!

(wide conjunction though)

my 9th is in pisces and i have my aries moon in there.

i tend to keep those kind of things quiet because my 12th house is in cancer. so my 12 hides both of those from the rest of the public more i think.

Venus and Moon (and Eros) in 9th house Capricorn here. I love traveling and I'm very fascinated by other cultures, and don't really think I even belong in my own country.. I have lived in another country for a few months and would love to try that again. I have a soft spot for foreigners and the last year has definitly been all about boys from other countries... It's like guys from my own country are too boring
Also, everything else you mentioned about the 9th house (intuition, philosophy and so on) fits me very well too.

Ascendant: Gemini
Sun: Pisces
Moon: Capricorn
Mercury: Pisces
Venus: Capricorn
Mars: Aquarius

While my 9th is empty, I have moon and neptune in 3rd.
They say neptune in 3rd is usually a childhood spend around people that speak differently. Well I speak dutch, because my mom/moon is dutch.

Also neptune eventually makes you unassertive in speaking. I can trace this to having very crooked teeth as a teen, and avoided opening my mouth. After having braces the habit and insecurity/fear didn't completely leave.

And oh, the constant miscommunication sucks big time. I live in my own fantasy world, and am so focused on other worlds (astral, heaven, subconscious, etc) that my hubby complains I don't live in this one.

Venus in Gemini/9th H
[trining Jupiter/opposing Uranus]

For a long time I didn't wanna place my venus in the 9th, I thought it didn't express me all that well [my mom's not sure aboutmy birthtime].
I really do fancy strange, nerdy and foreign [or foreign-looking] guys, sooooo
.. I reconsidered my view. lol

I was never good at learning by rote [a very popular learning/teaching system in my country].

That's me to a T.

I dream of traveling all over the world but the big Crab in me would never allow me to escape my comfort zone.
