Because some people abuse Saturn's energy. When you're abusing Saturn, you're not giving credit to the personal planet. You look disgusted when the personal planet laughs. You criticize the personal planet's remarks. You stifle everything inside that person. And why? Saturn needs to answer that. That's the bad side of Saturn. I grew up with my Saturn conjunct my mother's Moon, Mercury, and Venus. We're a team, always working together to keep this house running. I'm used to Saturn's energy, as it's everywhere within my family and myself. I admit, as the Saturn person in some relationships, I wasn't that warm, but I took the relationship seriously. I wanted for there to be loyalty. I felt extremely attached. I wanted a bond like nothing else. There needs to be honesty within the relationship, an exploring of any fears that are holding you back. If a Saturn relationship was honest, I'm sure much more passion and satisfaction could come forth.IP: Logged |

I'm the Saturn person right now. I'm not that warm, but I feel like the parent/teacher to a very spacey Neptunian. If the person doesn't confront their fears, the relationship doesn't work. IP: Logged |

It gets a bad wrap because saturn shows what your fears and insecurities are. And if someone else's planet is in the same place they are expressing comfortably the very things saturn feels threated by. So sometimes without even realizing it saturn will seek to extinquish that energy that is uncomfortable for it. It's a form of self defense.IP: Logged |

Because it smacks you if you don't do the right thing and it's seen as an old, stern wrinkly dude so it ain't good in our ageist societies. IP: Logged |

I like Saturn, he's like a cooky grand old father time sending stability and reasurance. Yeah at first he seems limiting and cold but deep down inside he has years of experience and understanding.IP: Logged |

I want whatever Deliverance is on - I have Saturn opposite sun/conjunct MC transit going on right now.'Loving it' is not how I'd put it. Saturnine energy is not something our society deals well with. We are mostly too hung up on neptunian 'what ifs' instead of saturnine 'what is'. IP: Logged |

It's also really weird in synastry..I have this double whammy(is that what it's called ?) with a guy, suns conjunct saturns all in scorpio and I used to like him. But like, not in love with him. And I know he feels the same way. But it has lingered on and on and on. We just feel like we have to keep in contact out of respect ? I don't know. All I know is if he would just end it I'd be more than grateful. I hope he's not thinking the same thing. Maybe I don't want him as just a friend and that's why. But yes, saturn feels serious, responsible, very reserved. Not much fun. IP: Logged |

Hi Peri (I like the blue heart)-It did trigger a period of low vitality and lack of energy in me.I got sick often. (And it's coming back, retro-ing, again for a second go!) -It made me harsher with the world around me, and more deterministic, my attitudes shifted to survivalist mode. -Like you I have sag moon, but mines also conjunct jupiter=enthusiasm and optimism galore usually, well this transit totally cut all of that off. I felt very unenthusiastic, and downright nihilistic. -Made me more serious in regards to what is truly important to me. a sort of "return to the basics' thing took place. -It does grind you down to gristle and bone, and since our suns are in the 4th/on IC, I think the effect of the opposition is felt much greater internally, at the very core of our being. -It does to some extent suppress self-expression and initiative, and causes you to become more withdrawn. And if you are prone to getting depressed and giving up, well this intensifies such feelings - but if you realize that it is the transit, and it will pass, you can negate this. Has anyone else gone through this opposition? IP: Logged |
