It's not quite a theory because it's not well-formed yet, but I have an idea:Do you think the sign Saturn falls in within your chart tells you something about the sign you have a biggest 'weakness' for?
For instance: My Saturn is in Cancer. I've always had a terrible weakness for Cancer men. I love them to bits, and they break my heart with how adorable they are (most of the time anyway).
I feel I can relate to Cancer women very well also - though sometimes they overwhelm me and stifle me. Either way, Cancer is a very karmic sign for me.
However, my South Node is also in Cancer, so maybe my not-quite-theory is seriously flawed...in which case I would ask, from your own personal experience, have you found that you are attracted to people who are the same sign as your South Node, and if you are more attracted to signs in your North Node or South Node? WOW MVMWe are twins lol. well....almost. I have Saturn in Cancer also and it is also my South Node. My only long term relationship was with a Cancer man....Sadly he drove me insane, however, on the upside (oops...There goes my Libra Sun again) my best friend is a Cancer female. You know I think you might be on to something, my Saturn is in Leo and I do go weak in the knees for Leo men. It tends to be a mix of sex and karma, though after awhile it becomes to much to handle.. and the attraction is usually one sided, me being the one drawn in.------------------

Leaping, yeah, it would be Virgo for your South Node  Spunknini, omg we really are twins...how odd! I was recently TOTALLY taken with a man with a Cancer rising too, and he's a Taurus!! I am so not attracted to Brad Pitt, I don't know why.....but all I can say is that while his face may be aesthetically appealing, I get this feeling of revulsion when I look at him....eeewwww.

Oh south Node in Aries, and alot of times I am attracted to Aries(their qualities) but its a certain admiration and respect I have for them more so then desiring them in a romantic way... but if it is a sexual attraction, its either them wanting me or me wanting them ------------------

It's interesting because I ended up marrying (and divorcing) a Capricorn, which is the sign both my North Node and Midheaven is in. But my heart and my core 'weakness' has always been with Cancers, especially the boyz  I know it's probably premature to ask since I would love to have more responses to my thread quesion, but I'll ask anyway: The Saturn sign in your chart that you might have a weakness for, what are the qualities it possesses and personifies which are like a magnet to you? Are those qualities active within you, or are they dormant and not quite 'activated'? Maybe the Saturn sign's presence 'activates' them in some way. For me it's Cancer's sense of surrender and the ability to just be close without qualms. I know once they crawl into their shells they are impossible to get out...but when they are open,they are so amazingly about sharing, and very nurturing and not afraid of being vulnerable. For me, this is a huge turn-on, and I admire it incredibly ...and I also seem to have major problems being this way myself, as being vulnerable is extremely difficult for me. Looking 'weak' is my biggest weakness LOL. And I guess on some level I unconsciously associated/confused vulnerability with weakness for a very long time (though ultimately I actually find it remarkably brave). So I just wonder if this is what makes Saturn so 'karmic' in this case. These might be the signs we are attracted to because, maybe, they are also the signs we have the most to learn from in some key way.
They emulate the part of us which maybe we are not as strong in, hence they are our 'weakness'...because they are teaching us about our weakest area? I don't know. Just a thought IP: Logged |

Hey! I'm thinkin' your theory works  My Saturn is in Sag (+ Uranus in Sag). My bf is a Sag with Sag Mercury and Neptune!
Although all of his Sag placements are conjunct my Uranus, not Saturn. I've never before been romantically involved with a Sagittarian, although I have a few Sag buddies. My bf has an Aries Moon also (on my Sun). I'm guessing that's a big part of the attraction. But I'm sure Saturn played its part IP: Logged |

maybe this theory works for women, since saturn is the ruling sign of the "man/father" of the zodiac.this theory doesn't work for me, my whole generation has saturn/uranus/neptune in capricorn, i guarantee all the capricorns i know arn't the most popular people at all. i also do not like prominent capricorn in women. as people say, saturn "dampens love", i don't like that. i really liked some one once, and she was a gold digger, im sure it was her capi moon. on the other hand i have found capi's physically attractive? i should keep in mind that half of capricorn is part of my 5th. i get along with sagittarius girls better.
maybe for guys its there moon sign, the mother /woman of the zodiac? mine is in aries, i certainly have pulled a few aries in some how, but i don't fall for them in particular, i'd still take a libra/virgo over them. IP: Logged |

that's an interesting theory,however it does not apply to me.I have saturn in libra and I am not really attracted to libra men ,which is curious because I have a libra moon there should be some affinity there but there isn't.
ok speaking of saturn as the father figure I'm pretty convinced one should avoid a love relation with a person who has the same sun sign as your saturn sign,that would be like dating your father (symbolically speaking) you know Oedipian complex,looking for a father figure and so on...

I don't know about Saturn being like the father necessarily. That seems kind of archaic and outdated. Besides, in human psychology we do tend to pair off with the parent we need the most approval from ultimately. It's not pretty, but it happens. No such thing as a clean slate, you know?
Overall, Saturn feels more karmic to me that just some parental figure. The guys I dated who were same sign as my Saturn were NOT daddy-ish at all. Didn't feel that way.Neither of you guys said what your South Nodes were in and whether you're attracted to the sign. Libralove, what the hell is 'prominently Capricorn'? It seems like you're reading the interpretation of the sign first and then thinking of the women - I'm asking about your personal experiences first and foremost. Your experiences with them. Give it time.
I know other signs might be 'better' for me or whatever, but I am talking about signs we have a weakness for. That means we might not like them at all also - but I don't think they'd illicit neutral feelings within ultimately. IP: Logged |

i get along with capricorns as friends, as i have had a fare share of them. learning from the sign the saturn is in? probably actually. but as i mentioned i had strong romantic interest with some one, she had a successive attitude, overly concerned with money, openly admitted she would only marry a rich man. i thought that was so shallow and low. maybe she had aspects in her chart for it, but im sure it was her capi moon.
