Sometimes I read that certain signs are associated with different animals. We choose pets for the qualities they represent to us. Have you heard of owners looking like their pets? I've also read it's because we tend to like things that are similar to us.I am a Cancer Sun and I really have beloved pets who are my favourite animals, that are really typical of a Cancer. I love turtles, terrapins and turtles. My beloved is actually a red-ear slider. Love him to death! I treat him like a little son. It's not a very conventional pet to be in love with I think, since it's not typically cute. Woefully, I've been told I look like a turtle too. LOL. But I think turtles are awfully cute (awfully, besides being an expression, is also a pun here too) so it's alright to be compared to one. Turtles, like crabs, carry their homes around in the form of their shells. Their shells are also a very vital form of protection. They are also sea creatures. To also find out why my turtle feels like a family member to me, I look to my 4th house cusp in Gemini. I believe my turtle is a Gemini, so that would probably put his sun in my 4th house. He was given to me on my birthday, which would have our suns conjunct in our 1st meeting chart. He would thus emphasise my Cancerian Sun qualities, which is very true. It's fun being a cliche. Please share your pet experiences too, or that type of pets you would like, what your pet means to you, where its planets lie etc.

my poodle is a cancer. she is the most spoiled, most kiss-a$$ dog ever. we love her for it though. She brings out the cuddly side in me which otherwise rarely expresses. my 6th house is in virgo and has a south node in it. i wanna get one of those mini sharks at one point or another. they fascinate me. and they're way more impressive then my gold fish Rasputin Before my poddle i had a cocker spaniel. I really loved her as well. She had much more character *siiiiiigh* IP: Logged |

Hi I don't have any pets right now, but a couple of years ago the most gorgeous little cat would come and see me while I was smoking outside(i used to smoke)...anyway, I thought his name was shin-shei(or spelling similar). He used to play with nothing right in front of me and he felt like great company. I used to speak to him (he didn't really answer back)and his body language suggested that he was up for some mischief but didn't want to hang with the other cats. I never fed him(I'm not that accommodating, haha) anyway, after his nightly come to see me for ages and some mornings, one saturday morning some people arrived and said they were from down the road and they couldn't find their cat. As it happened, 'shin-shei' happened to be sitting out in the garden and I said for them to come and have a look at him. One of the young women burst out 'Francie'and lightly scolded him. They took him home and I never saw him again. I thought it was funny about the names tho. Shin-shei sounded similar to Francie. IP: Logged |

I love all animals. But in my family we have this thing with cats: usually we have about 10-15 at a time (why, how very Egyptian), and my grandmother had 20 cats and a chimp when I was a kid. I hear Virgo rules 'small animals', and I have my Sun in the 5th which I also think contributes to being a huge animal lover. My moon in the 12th always has me adopting strays and rescues (my mother's got moon in the 12th as well, same thing lol). I also sometimes have cats that follow me around, no matter where I am. Very much a cat person. Since I travel a lot I can only have one cat at a time for now. My cat Miso Soup is a Leo. Oh, she is very leonine. I didn't know she was a Leo until about a year ago, but she can be loud, bossy, and demanding. Most of the time she's very content to just lounge around and 'pose' ... I walk by and find her in these unreal poses, almost begging to be looked at. She used to wake me up in the morning really loudly and I'd throw a slipper at her LOL and she'd run then come back 5 minutes later, just as loud as ever, persistent until I got up to PET her (she's never hungry in the mornings, just demands love and won't stoop to coming into bed because her highness doesn't want to jump). She's a character. I love her My other cat, Wolfie, is a Cancer and is terrified of everything. She used to insist on sleeping in bed with me, and was jumpy as hell. She's staying at my parents' house and her and Miso Soup hate each other. LOL.

I love all kinds of animals Currently I have 2 dogs, 2 turtles and with my grandma every afternoon we feed about 20 birds that come to our garden. One of the dogs is mine, the other is of my brother's. Mine is a Yorkshire called Rocco and I can def say that he is SO much like me. Very demanding, loves to play, kind of lazy and loves hugs. (And yes, he's a also a cancer, like me ) He is a real guardian and takes care of our house, like no one!. My brother's dog, called Tupac is huge! a Cimarron. Sagitarian, very strong (now he's 10 years old) but when younger he used to love being outdoors, and running free. Never got tired. And is very sociable also, unlike the Yorkie. Haha...

I don't know my labs birthdates, but I have 2 that are from the same litter. And they are completely different in character, even in looks we can see a difference (even though they are both completely blace).Wonder what makes the difference when there is probably only a minute difference since they're brothers.... They probably are the same but have to share the traits...same as twins...well that's what I think. Siblings need to put forth different traits and weighting of strengths in order to survive. Often first and second children are 'chalk and cheese'. When the dynamics change, like when one is away, sometimes the other will show a whole different side. Out of two, usually one will have to dominate - siblings, partners, marriages. Truth be known, the more obviously extroverted or dominant one strongly relies on the less extroverted/dominant and vice versa. IP: Logged |

same for people? im a fraternal twin and interesting thread. i had been actually thinking of starting one like this. i had a cat first, and i found my dog. not sure of either of their signs. my dog has like no attention span and loves food, she's a beagle. she's also very people friendly and animal friendly. always wants to play and find out whatever it is thats moving. extremely stubborn. however it took her a while to get her out of her shell when it came to being around a lot of dogs at once, she would run from all of them..now she loves it. she would always get humped...but the recently the humpee became the humper she's also been described as spunky. and she know i will protect her..she cries when she's barely hurt then when i pull the other dog off of her she starts bothering it... my cat was old and would pee outside of the litter box. but for a 13 year old cat she was feisty!!! she would take down my old roommates' cat that tried to hump her.. my cat didn't like my dog....my dog is now a lil scared of cats

It's so cute reading about experiences with pets. I think if there are past lives, our pets actually live through it with us.How do we tell of past life contacts between oneself and one's pets? Is it also considered a sort of a karma contract too? I would love to do a birth chart of my pets to do a synastry with my own. IP: Logged |
