I recently met someone, completely by accident (thanks to Facebook) who went to my college -- but whom I never met while there. He now lives in Asia while I am in the USA. I randomly found his profile while searching for "Astrology" under interests, and I got this incredibly strange intuition about his planetary placements (Aries sun/Venus/Mercury and an earth moon sign, and something in Aquarius). So, on a whim, I messaged him and asked if any of those placements were right. They ALL were. He said my message shocked him so much he had to get up and leave his internet cafe for a while, and he when he went home, the light bulb in his bathroom exploded.

Anyway, I just talked to him on the phone and am amazed how similar our situations in life are. I am in the exact "soul searching" place he was five years ago. It was a great pleasure talking to him and I already feel like he's an old friend.

I am floored by the number of conjunctions we have in synastry: his Mercury, Venus, sun, and Midheaven are ALL conjunct my Venus, Jupiter, and North Node; his Mars and North Node are conjunct my Sun and Mercury; my Midheaven and Moon are conjunct his ascendant. I've never had so many conjunctions with anyone -- especially a mutual sun/north node one.

I am rubbish at interpreting charts that involve me (I am way too biased) and I would love to hear what others have to say about this, if the relationship appears as striking as I feel it to be. I am not talking romantic at this point; just as two souls helping each other.

I`m curious, too, what aspects exactly made IQ say this.

But I personally also see some connections, that seem to hint towards a true Soul-connection.

-Venus conjunct Jupiter, Venus and maybe True Node (Is Eros also conjunct Venus?)

- Sun and Psyche conjunct True Node - wonderful!

- Mars conjunct sun and Amor, maybe not the deepset soul connection, but providing some necessary sparks

- Karma conjunct Chiron - interesting one

- Is Mars conjunct amor, too? Then there is a DW!

- Moon conjunct ASC - definitely a sign of a soul connection, the fastest moving things in the chart, and very very emotional

- Psyche exactly conjunct Moon - very deep and profound emotional connection

- IC conjunct DSC of course

And I haven´t even looked at possible trines!

The circle is complete and perfect.
I have never seen such a circle before. It would be great to check for Valentine, Juno, Hera and Persephone as well.

I know there are no standard soulmate conjunctions like Sun-Moon, Mars-Venus etc but then when I saw this pattern, it rang that "They have to be Soul Mates" bell.

In any case, I dont think they are twin-flames yet, just Soul Mates who can find plenty of happiness together, just the way the cyclical pattern wants them to find happiness with each other.

Let me also say, one needs plenty of spiritual depth to be happy together. In my city, 3000 couples divorce every year [It was 30 a decade ago]. Most start as true love marriages but in a few months time, shallowness grips the couple. Couples have split because they disagree on curtain colours and even brand name of their vehicle. Most of them will have fantastic soul mate aspects, thats why they attracted each other but with spirituality and human values suppressed through incessant dumbing down of the masses, they will let just a few tense aspects wreck their marriage.

what is your take on Cupid, Persephone and Aphrodite in synastry?
Do they play a role?

And yes, I was focusing on their synastry, but actually I think the biggest hint was the background story.

I think it might work with other aspects, too, even though of course the conjunction may be the strongest and most intense (to me conjunctions are almost like a heavenly finger pointing); but of course other aspects can also provide links; I think we should look to the quality of these aspects, though, as they may "colour" the interaction.

For example a link up of squares could be pretty challenging I guess, whereas a link up of mostly trines and conjunctions might be pretty harmonious (generally speaking: I know you do not like conjunctions ).

In addition to the lightbulb incident, I had a swarm of little incidents occurring right around the time I contacted him, and then again when I decided to call him -- things like seeing 11:11, 1:11, 2:22 all the time (in fact, his first reply to me was sent at 2:22) -- these are things I notice happening with increased frequency whenever something important happens in my life, so I pay attention.

Additionally, I assumed I would never meet him because he lives on the other side of the globe, but when I talked to him last night, I found out he is moving back to the USA in the summer, to Arizona... and to the same city my parents live in. So I may quite likely get a chance to connect with him in person.
