In members' personal experience what are the best/worst aspects to have in synastry? ie would person A's chiron falling on Person's B IC be good/bad? Would Person B's moon falling on person A's MC add intensity to the relationship? Both Plutos a few degrees apart,an aspect indicating karma? Would all these aspects (and some involving saturn) point to a very intense relationship but ultimately destructive one? IP: Logged |

The worst? Everytime I will go for wide orbs and unaspected planets. It suggest a lack of connection or real interest between two people. Tight aspects tense or flowing at least show something, you can learn from the tough ones just like you can learn to get along with most people if you really try. Not always, but mostly. IP: Logged |

I agree that very few aspected personal planets and/or wide orbs tend to indicate not that much chemistry, in my experience. There are some specific aspects that I think really suck and have always been challenging for me in synastry..these include Sun square Mercury, Venus square Venus, Mercury square Mercury. The Mercury square Mercury is the worst, i think, because I end up not being able to stand that person and it usually is because of the way they communicate with me. We don't "get" each other at all. Venus square Venus is challenging but can definitely work and some of my closest friendships/relationships have been with Venus in Aquarius people. ------------------ Capricorn sun / Scorpio rising / Sagittarius moon Mercury:: Sagittarius Venus::Scorpio Mars::Pisces IP: Logged |

The hardest relationships for me were the ones where the other person had a personal planet in my 4th house. It has taken a while for me to get over those individuals.IP: Logged |

I dont think theres a clear answer to this question. Some people depending on their charts can handle simplicity, and some need intensity. Some people work fine with boring synastry together. One thing that is always consistent is Saturn in the long term relationships, ive noticed...IP: Logged |

Amowls-did you ever get over any of them? I just realized my moon, chiron and True Node fall on my ex's 4th house.IP: Logged |

I agree with writesomething. It's completely personal...what works for me might not work for you, and vice versa. And yes, Saturn does need to be present in some form for the relationship to have some kind of long-term potential... at least we know that much For me, the nicest aspects have been 4th house-involved...contact with it feels very nice (especially something with the Moon or Venus in contact to the 4th). I also like ascendant contacts - trines, sextiles, conjunctions from the moon or Mercury. I LOVE Mercury-ascendant! It makes me feel like the person and I are on the same mental wave-length, and with the Moon on the ascendant, there's a nice feeling of being able to share emotional states. I've found recently that I enjoy my Sun conjunct another's moon, it makes me feel very secure (maybe because my Sun is peregrine too?), but not the other way around - I don't like my Moon conjunct another's Sun...feels like a weird assault. Chiron, maybe? I've been pondering the subject, and maybe the hard aspects are a source of wounding. IP: Logged |

How would you interpret Venus opposition Chiron in synastry? Is it both painful and healing?IP: Logged |

I've had the conjunction to Venus as Chiron. It's no cake walk. It was EXTREMELY painful. Just about every guy I've been interested in the past year has his Chiron opposing my Venus. I can't imagine it's too pretty, but I think there's an intense dialogue going on between the two. I'd say Chiron feels more, and Venus gets overwhelmed and freaked out that someone can see through her love games, and maybe wants to get real. It's not a shallow connection by any means.IP: Logged |

Okay, what if Venus is met with a conjunction with Saturn as well? Is that heartbreak or what?IP: Logged |

I think it's also important to keep the orbs tight with the Chiron stuff. With Saturn in there, it would be long-term probably. But Venus might need more easy stuff too, otherwise she might feel unappreciated. A trine or sextile someplace would help balance it out. OR even a hard aspect to another more 'romantic' planet maybe. IP: Logged |

Yeah, actually there was stressful Saturn stuff to the Mars AND Venus, Lara. It was unbearable. Maybe that explains a little more of why it felt like HELL. IP: Logged |
