I won a contest back in 1997, it was to be a calendar girl for Budwieser. 150 women competed for the Calendar it was something like a beauty pagent..I wasn't into astrology then so I don't know what transits was going on..I can't remember the exact date of the final pagent otherwise I would check the date..I may can find out though..

Also I have won numerous things off the radio from money to concert tickets..There was a drawing at this grocery store by my house for a week pass to this big even with tons of perks..You had to fill out the form and wait for them to call your name..I filled it out and walked away to do my shopping about 10 minutes later I hear them calling my name all through the grocery store..I was yelling here I am..It was cool and I enjoyed the weekend thing with 3 other ppl that I took along with me..

Don't know what was going on at that time either prolly Jupiter doing its thing..Jupiter is always good to me..:-)

Maybe it's transiting Jupiter (planet of speculation and gambling) in applying conjunction to my Descendant (the point of "others") but my poker reads have been extremely on-point lately.

I know the game of poker isn't a "contest" as actually skill is needed, but there is certainly a huge element of luck involved.

I play poker about once a week with friends, and I've been more precise than ever with knowing when to bet and when to fold, due to my speculative perceptions ("reads") of what cards the other players may be holding.

Yep, fifth house and Jupiter for luck with competitions/gambling. Venus/Jupiter is especially known to be good for luck.
For property, I'd look at the fourth house as well as the second and eighth houses.

Hmmm, well, I mentioned specifically the Jupiter transiting action towards my Descendant for my "interactive gambling" luck because otherwise, historically, I've had terrible luck both in gambling and in most other areas of life, and I have a lot of the activity you just mentioned:

My natal 5th house is Sagittarius, and I have it's ruler, Jupiter, with Venus in a natal conjunction.

Sounds mighty beneficial, so something is going very wrong in my chart and I don't know what's screwing up everything.

Perhaps it is simply my Combustion of Venus/Jupiter that ruins it all.

Scorpionic, are either of those planets retrograde in your chart by any chance?

At any rate, I keep thinking Jupiter is kinda overrated at times. I'm having my Jupiter Return and it's not exactly bestowed me with any wealth financially, though I have suddenly been spending money for my career...looks like Jupiter's the one who's getting all the luck
