Topic: Uranus transits make me go weird…you too?

I’ve noticed a pattern. Whenever I have a Uranus transit, my musical tastes change. I currently have transits of Uranus trine Venus and Uranus trine Mars (they’ll be reaching their peak early March). Normally I’m an R&B and commercial pop girl. But at the moment I’m listening to classical, Indian music, lounge jazz (Sinatra especially, who I can’t stand most of the time) and obscure 60s English bands like The Pacemakers. I really don’t know what’s come over me but I just have a craving to listen to these genres of music which I wouldn't go near at other times.I was the same the last time when I had the above transits during May - July 08. And when I had Uranus trine Uranus back in March – October 07, I got really into Hall & Oates, Five Star, Hue & Cry and long forgotten 80s artists produced by Stock, Aitken and Waterman. But when there’s no Uranus around me, it’s back to the old Beyonce, Leona, Usher et al. Have you noticed your musical tastes change when you have a Uranus transit? Uranus transits to personal planets are definitely interesting and exciting (although sometimes emotionally draining) times..Uranus has been conjunct my Mars for a while now..which means it trines my Venus. my musical taste has definitely changed in the past year or so..though i've always been into all sorts of music and my taste changes, evolves, and returns frequently..overall though my taste in EVERYTHING has changed. my taste in men, my taste in clothes, the way i prefer to project myself, etc. i lost my virginity during my mars conjunct tUranus transit..i've been treated for depression and anxiety during this time as well...and have gone through CRAZY encounters & experiences with men..like, i became a freakin weirdo magnet for a while. aggression has increased drastically in the past year. Uranus does crazy things! ------------------

Uranus is opposing my sun for some time now...and WOW, you're right! My musical taste is definitely feeling like it's getting broadened, and at times strange.
My Sun's in the 5th house too, so I'm finding that this applies to other artistic stuff...my own drawing style has gone into a bizarre, freakish mode...and I've adopted a completely new style it seems. Good call, Mystic! IP: Logged |

i didnt look much into my transits but im supposed to be getting a Uranus conjunct Asc transit that I'm looking foward too and i've felt it coming so im very excited!IP: Logged |

There is nothing wrong with broadening your musical tastes! I know a broad range of musical artists I'm a drummer after all, gotta keep up to snuff. I mostly listen to British music from the 70's and 80's for some reason? My favorite artist is David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust era) and T.Rex gotta love the Glam music! I also am a fan of Cocteau Twins, Liz Frasier has such a ethereal voice along with Kate Bush who happens to have the same birthday as me! Other favorites have to include Velvet Underground and Tom Waits! BTW Hall & Oates are awesome, love the song man eater, they are the best to put on during a dance party! IP: Logged | |
