I'm been yee-yawing about with my feelings for this younger man for a long time. From our synastry, does this look like more of a just-friends relationship, or a lovers relationship? Or something else entirely? (And could someone please post our synastry charts? I tried to follow the instructions on the posting charts thread, and it didn't work. ME: 14 August 1974, 5:50pm, Cleveland, Ohio USA; HIM: 7 November 1983, 5am, Boston, Massachussetts USA.) IP: Logged |

Thanks Emma. We actually both have Sun trine Moon (my Leo Sun trine his Sag moon, his Scorpio Sun trine my Cancer Moon.) (I was born in 1974...the chart accidentally has it as 1983.)IP: Logged |

Friendship. Leo and Scorpio are opposites. Unless you're ok with him not giving you much attention...IP: Logged |

As a Leo, I wouldn't want someone who didn't give me much attention as a friend, either. To me, friendship isn't a step down from a sexual relationship, they're just different kinds of relationships. So please give more details! Are you saying that you see from the synastry that any emotional or sexual relationship would be one-sided, with me wanting attention and him being not-interested? In which case, why would a platonic friendship work better?

I'm especially interested in subtle things that might show up in our synastry, other than just our Sun-Sun square. I know Leo-Scorpio can be no fun (hello, Bill and Hillary Clinton), but this feels very different from other friendships with Scorpios I've had.IP: Logged |

By signs the Sun-Moon are trine, but in terms of orb, they are wide apart. Dont see any Venus-Mars aspects or 7H planets either. But both of you have quite a few planets in each other's 5H, so maybe fun dating? Some communication differences too? Mutual Sun-Merc Sq and Merc Sq Merc Just my amateurish try at interpretation IP: Logged |

How wide is too wide an orb to use? I just use the default synastry chart on Astrodienst...it has my sun, his moon at around a 6 degree orb, his sun, my moon at around 3 degrees. Should I discount some of these aspects? Communication problems sound irritating for romance OR friendship. But is there potential for a good sexual relationship? IP: Logged |

you can check out my thread on Orbs if you want. I like Zala's method personally. and in your case the orbs would work. (according to her. if i remember correctly)IP: Logged |

I've known of several very happy Leo-Scorpio couples...I've found that fixed signed seem to like each other actually...so I think it depends really, and you never know... Lucia, what aspects are your Saturns making to each other's personal planets, and what ascendant contacts are there? You don't *need* 7th house stuff. I know a couple together 20 years with none, and they're madly in love. Lots of 4th house aspects and even 11th house stuff. There's nothing wrong with the 11th - it's love received, and true friendship, which is really the core of a good relationship, I feel. And I have heard that aspect orbs to the luminaries (i.e. sun and moon) can be wider, like up to 7 degrees or something. IP: Logged |

Something wrong with my software, so the orbs were a bit off. I usually use 5degrees for trines. For Sun-Scorpio combinations, I think it very much depends on the whole chart. My Sun is in Leo, but my Des is on Sco, so I have often found scorpios attractive and intriguing. IP: Logged |

MyVirgoMask, his Sun and Mercury trine my Saturn, my Moon trines his Saturn, and we have a Saturn-Saturn trine. His Saturn is sextile my Ascendent, and his Ascendent squares my Venus (that might be no fun.) His ascendent is conjunct my Uranus and Midheaven. I'm not interested in a long-term relationship or marriage with anyone right now. I'm struggling with whether to stay platonic friends, or become lovers. I IP: Logged |

Also, how one-sided does the relationship look from our synastry? As in, me being very attracted and him being less attracted?IP: Logged |

well your planets are more spread out than his so it seems that his interest in you is concentrated a bit. I'm really not that good at house overlays but heres a link that might help you. http://www.skyviewzone.com/lovematch/sunsynastryhouse.htm this will help be a start. i hope IP: Logged |
