i still have a hard time understanding the application of zodiac house characteristics to personal houses.for example, i'm trying to understand my 4th house, which natally is Pisces. so my 4th house has Pisces characteristics. Pisces characteristics include sensitivity, imagination, spirituality, vulnerability so on. 4th house is home and mother. so...my home is sensitive, imaginative, spiritual and vulnerable??? i'm having a trouble making a smoothly connecting explanation...! maybe i lack imagination... furthermore, i want to look at my progressed chart. my progressed 4th house is at the end of Aries. in a few years it'll be in Taurus. so, currently, my home is enthusiastic, impulsive, active and daring??? and in a few years, my home will be practical, sensual, persistent blah blah??? it would make sense as an explanation of a person, but i don't know how to integrate them with the houses. perhaps someone can show me a more skilled application so i can see how it's done? i feel so dumb! You relate to your home in a Piscean way. You see your home as a place where you can be spiritual or you need to be in "sensitive" surroundings.IP: Logged |

It's interesting that you chose your Pisces house as your illustration of what you're confused about...since Pisces is also the sign of confusion. I think you basically have it right the way you're thinking about it. The 4th is the realm of the home, and you have Pisces characteristics applying to it.I'm not sure about the progressed chart, but you could be right there. Maybe Geocosmic will show up to clarify that. I will point out that since Pisces rules your 4th you can also look to your Neptune for information about your home life. IP: Logged |

A 4th House Pisces indicates a confusion about the nature of your home. You may not feel grounded or rooted to one place. Sometimes, the whole world will feel like home. Your own dwelling in particular will need good Feng Shui relating to the Water Element [fountains etc]. You will be very sensitive to vibes in your dwelling and will need several Neptunian Arts decorating it, like ethereal paintings, dolphin art and very harmonious wind chimes. 4th House Pisces must not speculate in real estate deals as they can be affected by the emotions of the masses rushing into the housing market.

ok, so i think i got it. i don't directly apply the characteristics, but it is how i see/feel the 4th house matters? i thought i'd look into the progression, because the matters regarding home and mother seem to be entering the "ending" or some sort of a period of big change. i thought maybe this is due to the house change in progression. as a base, it's so true that my home/root is a complete chaos, starting from parental right shifts to constant relocation, and Iqhunk, that's very true that i don't feel like i have any root. i see a little hope in the fact it's going to be Taurus in a few years. maybe this means that i will come in terms with my birth place, or a place that will accept me will enter my life? thanks for advice, guys!
