what makes me so afraid to hurt anybody else that I would rather sacrifice my own happiness? I am going through a rough time now, as I realize that my husband, although he's a basically good, kind-hearted person, is totally wrong for me and the marriage doesn't contribute at all to my happiness. But I'm struggling with the thought of leaving him alone, divorced for the second time in his life. I feel so guilty about the prospect of leaving him that I'm just stuck - in limbo - paralyzed.

Well, you've got that TENACIOUS Cancer Moon in your 6th house of service to others. Guilt-trip martyr central. 8th House or Scorpio stuff--of which you have a boatload--can make a person feel a strong desire/need to throw herself, body and soul, into the pit bottom of intense experience, even at her own expense. And that 12th house Mars may incite you to take sacrificial action.

The guilt looks like a small part of the situation, though. It's more about tenacity and loyalty, not so much to your husband, but to your own situation. You have a lot in your chart that is fixed and precludes quick change. And, your water qualities make emotions deep and important for you, with enormous depth and resonance. Even small emotional situations for a Cancer Moon/8th House Scorpio Sun would feel scorchingly significant. And your Saturn loves security/stability and loathes fast action, even more than the average Saturn.

Honestly, your approach to this situation is very mature and BRAVE. Many people with your chart would project all of those watery emotions and crab/scorpion innards onto a third party or new love interest, so that they could imagine that they had moved on because of an obligation to the new person. You ARE clearly a kind hearted and very giving person. A challenge for any Cancer Moon is to learn that looking after your own happiness inspires others and shares positive energy with the whole world, and is actually a nurturing act, even if opn the face of it you appear to be rejecting someone or telling them NO.

You've got to trust the universe...a toughie with that Moon-Jupiter square. Don't be afraid to turn to friends and loved ones for support.

Venus conj Jupiter in Libra
quote:
The conjunction of Venus to Jupiter indicates that you are benevolent, kind, sympathetic, and generous. But you go to extremes in expressing these qualities and are indulgent with people even when they don't deserve it...
Venus in Libra: You seek harmony and balance in marriage and social life with a desire to please and be pleased. Generally, you are laid-back, easy-going and hate any form of discord - you will go to great lengths to avoid social and domestic conflict.
Jupiter in Libra gives you the opportunity to develop a strong sense of morality, fairness and a concern for justice and moral principals in both marriage and close social relationships.

In addition to what others have already stated, I think other things need to be taken into account.

For example the ruler of your rising sign (uranus) is in libra. As is your venus. There is a part of you that needs to be part of a team, in a relationship.
Yes, I see the conflicting nature in your chart as your rising sign is freedom loving aquarius and your venus is conj uranus (infamous for causing divorce, actually called the divorce aspect).
A part of your identity is tied to your partner.
Also you have a stellium of planets in the 8th, the natural house of scorpio, which is a known for wanting to merge with another and has some abandonment issues.

By transit neptune is going over your ascendant and into your identity house, turning everything upside down and giving your outlook the clarity of, well, mud.

Take care.

In addition to what Good Girl said about Neptune transiting your ASC, Neptune is the planet of Co-Dependence and compassion. If you are thinking about separating from your husband at any point, it won't be for awhile because you're feeling a lot of compassion for him right now. Another way of describing a positive side of co-dependence is "unity". Neptune meshes everything together, it unifies, melts, dissolves, and you may be in a place right now where other people are able to enter your life, even when you don't want them there. Neptune rules inspiration and imagination and visualization. Since you're not stepping out of the relationship right now, use Neptune as a tool to visualize your most positive future. What does that look like?

The compassion for him may be needed now more than ever, as I already know a little of your situation privately, so use this time to imagine the next phase of your life after this. This is also a great time to talk to God about your feelings, attitudes (good and bad) and problems. Being honest with your higher power about ALL of your situation will be of great relief to you and allows God to show YOU some compassion and mercy. You deserve that also, NO MATTER WHAT!!

Kisses and hugs to you lady Jugular

Thanking all you ladies for the very insightful interpretations. Wow, you're all so GOOD! I now get the Cancer moon thing being connected with the 6th house, making the typical Cancerian qualities apply to other people that I feel I need to "serve". Makes sense of a lot of situations in my life so far. And yes, I have been known to completely over-feel situations that somebody else might have just shrugged off, just like you describe, Lucia. I mean - real wrenching emotions over run-of-the-mill stuff. Crazy, being me. Funny, too, sometimes (looking back on it). Geo, I'm not sure I know what you're alluding to, except that I remember you were getting from my chart that my husband was sick somehow and I'm still puzzled about that, because he's been convinced he's falling apart for our entire married life (over 6 years), but as far as I can tell, he's rather healthy, except for a recent onset of sciatica. But you're right about the compassion, it's very much there right now, except it's compassion for him because he realizes I've changed in my feelings for him and it's painful for him to wake up to that. Anyway, I enjoy the astrological insights from all who responded.
