GGG .. spotted those charts earlier ..
just to say .. to figure out why ..
best pace to start would be to check your own chart for transits and progressions ..
then .. research the other charts .. starting with his personal birthchart ..

'n to answer a question posed in another thread by thee ..
re my sun sign .. the answer is 'yes' .. :-)

be well

Thanks Happy Dragon!

I deleted the thread because I decided to end it with him. The feelings are a little too intense for me at this point in time. I definitely need to check my transits and progressions to see why I'm so fearful of any potential for deep and intense relationships. I know I have transiting Saturn squaring my moon for one.

I have a lot of Taurean friends, but this was the first guy Taurus I dated! I'm finding I have a soft spot for them!

Thanks for taking the time out to respond to my thread!

( i could back that up with some text i recently read from one well known astrolger
( and no doubt will type it out 'n post it some fine day ..

GEMGEMGEM - I don't want to "profit" from the current difficulties you feel ... but by mentioning the Saturn-transit (square) to your Moon you evoke my curiosity. I am awaiting this later that year (when tr. Saturn is at 23° Virgo - my Moon is in 23° Sag in my 1st house). Did I get that right: You experience this transit as insecurity in your emotional life? Some anxiety in emotional matters? Does it more feel like "fear" or like "caution"? Maybe you wanna drop a line on this?

Alvarella, this is an excerpt from a personalized report I ordered on Astro.com. It's called Transits of the Year by Robert Hand. I don't usually buy these things, but my year was so bad, I needed some explanation for it all. (Plus they sent me a coupon!) I found this description of transiting Saturn square Moon very accurate as to what I'm experiencing. It may give you some insight as to what to expect with yours coming up.

Saturn Square Moon

Mid October 2008 until beginning of August 2009: This transit can be quite a difficult time for your personal and domestic life. On the psychological level you may feel lonely and isolated from others. You may feel depressed and undeserving of love. Sometimes remembered past actions make you feel guilty that you have not lived up to your own expectations.

Externally this transit can create difficulties in personal relationships, especially with women, because your emotional communication seems to be cut off. Your job may make demands that conflict with your domestic responsibilities, so that you are forced to neglect one or the other. Your parents may also be a source of concern at this time.

Saturn represents the structure and formation of your ego, your sense of individuality and uniqueness, while the Moon represents your need for connections and roots. The conflict at this time is between aspects of these two principles. Somehow it is difficult to be yourself and do what you must, to maintain your relationships and get much-needed emotional support and reinforcement from your loved ones.

These elements of your life are not truly in conflict, for they are complementary principles that need to be properly balanced with each other. The problem is that one element has got out of control at the expense of the other, so a time of readjustment is at hand. Usually it is the Saturnine element that has got out of control and the Lunar principle that has suffered. This situation is the underlying cause of the loneliness and depression that often accompany this transit.

You may have to make important changes in your life priorities. You may have to deemphasize your work in favor of your emotional and personal life, or you may have to break off a relationship that has interfered unnecessarily with your work. In either case, you must restore the balance between these two aspects of your life so that your life will run smoothly again.

To be honest, I dont believe that transits have the power to make you react as fearful as you do....to the point that you actually want to break off something that doesnt come along that often . I dont know what your chart looks like, but I would think it is more related to your natal chart than anything else. Your forum name would indicate a heavy air influence, so maybe this man touches in you such deep emotions, it's one step too far for you. And you react by avoiding it. I currently have saturn conjunct my moon and i cant say in any way that it feels in any way as problematic as you seem to experience it. (I'm strongly earth and water). One of my closest female friends has no water whatsoever in her chart and very little earth. When she met the love of her life (who she is still completely besotted with), her first response was to deny it. That it was just physical attraction. I think her avoidance was her fearful reaction to those intense emotions.Sort of like, if you ignore or run away from it, it cant hurt you. I'm not saying that all air dominated people react like this, but I have seen it happen. Also I remember this guy who had gemini as the strongest sign in his chart. We had a very saturnish synastry, also otherwise it felt very intense and serious. I think one of the reasons why he forever seemed to be slipping away from me was that our synastry felt way to deep and serious. So as I said, I dont think this is transits, but I'd more 'blame' it on natal.

I agree with you annaf.
I think it is just a survival strategy pure and simple.
If I am not mistaken Gem you have had a bad experience with regards to intense feelings so I think this is just your way of protecting yourself.
But remember one important thing. You survived the bad times. They didn't kill you (maybe you don't feel stronger but you are still here)
Armed with this knowledge sally forth into your new life fearlessly.
I am going to paraphrase here but there is a slogan on a greeting card that goes something like this

"Sometimes the head rules the heart and sometimes it should just get out of the way and let the heart do what it wants"

Hey gem
romance needs to be light and friendly for you, because you have the moon, merc and sun there you will run away from too much intensity so i think you are maybe starting to look after yourself better? i remember the ven/mars chiron thing you have going on and that may have something to do with it but i'm wondering if you are listening to your instincts that it's not a good road to go down? one thing i've learned over the years is that too much intensity is not a good thing and desire is not love

annaf, maybe it's a mixture of all 3, my natal chart, my current transits, and my past experiences. I know it's a cop out to blame my natal chart, because at the end of the day it's a choice, but everyone has their comfort level that they like to maintain. I can relate to your friend who denied true love because of the intensity. I don't like to feeeeeel so much at once. It's disorienting for me to the point where I can't function normally in daily life. My Uranus square Moon transit has definitely contributed to this.

bunnies you're right, it's a survival tactic on my part, but everyone uses these tactics in daily life to avoid things that may hurt them. Is avoiding love such a bad thing? If someone got hurt on a motorcycle or something, would it be so bad that they never wanted to get back on? Intense love is like a red flag to me. Yes, I'm probably a huge coward for letting a great guy and great love go, but I can't handle it, it's almost not even a choice for me. And something about this guy just seems to open up all my old wounds again.

afflictedvenus, I do think the only way I would ever be able to have a relationship again is if it were to be "light" and "friendly". It's funny cause that is exactly what I tell all the guys I've gone out with! I try to make it clear in the beginning that I'm not looking for anything intense or serious. I prefer friendships with men. I guess love has to sneak up on me, and take me by surprise, so I can't run away. LOL.

Along the lines of what bunnies said, about following my heart and not my head...being a triple Mercurial Gem, I don't know if that's possible! Sometimes I do wish I had some more water in my chart to help me get in touch with my emotions more.

GemGemGem,

can I just ask what your natal placements are?

Dont hit yourself over the head too hard, everyone does have their own comfort level and if this really is one step too far, then be it. By the way I dint know that you had a particular history of hurt, so of course that adds another understandble dimension.

My friend by the way didnt give up her the man. But both her and the guy (by the way he was a gemini sun and mercury, with moon in cancer) had similar problems to give in to their feelings. By the time both had finally admitted their feelings to themselves and to each other, outside circumstances had changed dramatically which unfortunately prevents them to be together now. But that's not to give a bad example, I'm sure faced with a similar situation today, she would react just as cautiously because it is just in her nature and noone can deny themselves their own comfort level and noone should.

GEMGEMGEM: Thanks for posting this info on t.Saturn and the natal Moon. May you feel some relief and go through "lighter times" soon again! Personally, I had t. Saturn cj. my natal Venus during the last 1.5 years ... also kind of a rough ride.

annaf my natal placements are below. Quite a lot of air, and earth. There's so little water, I'm parched!

Gemini Sun
Gemini Moon
Gemini Mercury
Virgo Ascendant
Taurus Venus
Taurus Mars

My past relationships have been a bit hurtful. My marriage was basically a disaster, and my husband left me and our baby shortly after her 1st birthday. He basically came into the room and told me he was leaving me out of nowhere. One month later, he's in Cali with his 21 yr old girlfriend, enjoying life. He didn't even wait for the ink to dry on the separation papers. That's what I get for marrying a Uranus man.

I think that's why I run from love! It's kind of engrained in me that all men will leave me heartbroken. My comfort zone does not really involve trusting them.

** Happy dragon, you're an artist! ***
no i'm not .. i couldn't draw a straight line properly ..
i'm just a geminian thief :-))) ..
if i have an 'art' then it's guitar playing ..
although there is no doubt an element of thieving in that as well ..

***Do you use photoshop to blend the colors? **
yeah .. vs.3.0.1. :-)) .. only 'cause i've never figured how to use the .gif 'mask' concept ..
every time i've tried .. well the result is chaos ;-))
so i just 'sampled' LL background colors 'n use them ..
it's easy if the original white background .. then 'darken' is used for layer 'mode' ..
depends though ..
if randall ever changes the background colors .. well i won't be a happy dragon no more ..
i'll have to change my user ID 'n all
i use 'adjust selective colors' quite a bit these days .. and 'adjust hue and saturation' ..
the former is more useful ..

** I love the sun image, but the Bovine is still my fav! **
i have a ton of resource images off the net here .. y'want some ??
i'll post screenshots of my library 'n you can choose ..
re that cross legged bovine .. try googling 'taurus' in images ..
i'm fairly sure that was in the search string .. but not 100 percent certain ..
was a few years back i spotted that one ..
