How many people have Sun conjunct Mercury in their charts? I'm wondering because it seems like a pretty common aspect, and it also changes the Suns expression a bit, especially if lets say you have your Mercury in a different sign than your Sun sign. I've never put much emphasis on this aspect till I remembered that my Venus is ruled by Mercury and its conjunct my Sun, so I've got a weird combo of Gemini and Leo flavoring my Venus...

Hello MissNeptune,First, thank you for quoting one of the greatest lyrics of all time. And now, it's an interesting question about Sun conjunct Mercury and how it might affect your Venus in another sign. The thing is, Sun, Mercury and Venus interacting with each other will enhance or focus on "idealism". Your Sun conjunct Mercury is going to emphasize and fuel cerebral matters. Venus suggests social, emotional, sexual and sometimes financial matters. But these planets aren't such heavy hitters in the chart that the combination you described will shout out loud in your chart unless they are being related to by some of the outer planets or if Mercury or Venus is peregrine (meaning, it makes no aspects to any other planet). If Mercury or Venus are in touch with an outer planet, figure those energies out first and then go back and see if the more subtle energies or Mercury and Venus are making any difference in the combination you're asking about. Thanks for your input Geocosmic Valentine! I'm curious about Sun conjunct Mercury, because it seems pretty common, and I wanted to know how others experience it. IP: Logged |

My sister has the sun conjunct Mercury in Cancer and my son has sun conjunct Mercury in Gemini, they are both complete chatterboxes but also very well grounded. I think this is because your everyday brain activity is fused with your vital energy and so thinking, talking expressing communication is a very natural state which whether or not is intentionally honest comes across that way! Anyone that I've met with sun/mercury conjunction seem to be very engaging and enthusiastic people and ofcourse can do small talk easily.IP: Logged |
