Topic: Do planets have to be in aspect to have an effect?

Talking about synastry here.Let's say I have Mercury at 29' Sagittarius (because I do, lol). And I become involved with someone with Mercury at 7' Aries. Our Mercuries wouldn't be trine by aspect, but they would be by signs, right? Because if I enjoy talking in Sagittarian ways I should be able to communicate well with someone who enjoys talking in Arien ways because they are both feiry and naturally have something in common. ..right? and if my Venus at 21' Scorpio doesn't conjunct someone's Mars at 10' Scorpio, I'm still going to find his Mars enticing because those are the qualities my Venus looks for...

Personally l think they have an effect by sign orb.My ex husband has his moon opposing my moon/venus/saturn/NN by sign and l felt it! IP: Logged |

I think you will display the qualities of a certain sign, and by that there will be some "tuning in". But the aspects of course are much stronger. IP: Logged |
