This house has been alligned with slaves and servitude, small animals, disease, healing(including hands on healing), hygene, menial jobs, purification and improvement, and even chaneling. It has even been called harmful to life. I have my sun here and I'm confused. Does anyone have any input on planets tenated here?IP: Logged |

I am so tired of the negativity around Virgo and anything Virgo-related like the 6th house! I have my Sun in the 5th and a stellium in Libra in the 6th, and I'm a spiritual counselor, so it's been extremely good for me. I don't think it has to do with hands-on healing only, I just see it as caretaking and healing of any kind. The 6th house is also tied in to experience and working *with* others. It's not a go it alone house... But like Virgo, of course, it's associated with nothing interesting, and I daresay is getting all kinds of negative interpretations. I don't think it's only 'menial' jobs....I mean, sure, it can be included, but that's not really what this house is about. A lot of healers heave planets in this house. They do *for* others because it's a calling, and a choice they have. There's a lot of compassion in this house which is just so sadly misunderstood and branded as slavery IP: Logged |

They're not uninteresting to me either Libralove lol! It's just, as per usual, the view of the sign and the house itself which is misunderstood. Anyway, I love Leos all the same too.I think a lot of patriarchal stuff is responsible for the confusion regarding this sign/house. IP: Logged |

A lot of compassionate and healing people also have no planets in 6th I don't think the sign of a healer is denoted by the house, sorry MvM although l do admire you for what you do. I do it every day and don't get paid for it. Today has been a complete day FULL of healing and counseling others. What on earth has this eclipse brought upon people!!!!!!!! The world has gone insane IP: Logged |

I totally agree with the compassion and the desire to heal in all or different ways. I have my sun pluto conj in libra here and I'm currently getting my as degree in veterinary technology. I have so much empathy for animals, I'm an activist, and I want to heal them and to alliviate their pain in all ways possible. I've never hardly been sick in my whole life, and with pluto here I regenerate myself in positive ways through purification/improvement. So how can this house be so bad??IP: Logged |

Lara, I am not saying this house *alone* is the healer's house, but it should most certainly be counted. It IS about service to others and often through healing. I've seen a lot of people with 6th house who are healers (again, it's not the only house, but since this is a thread about it, it should be included). Scrappy, it's not a bad house. It's misunderstood. And I have seen people with extremely good health with houses in here. It's misunderstood. IP: Logged |

Um. Lara. I just said it's not the only house associated with healing. But the thread is about the 6th, not about you.IP: Logged |

It's got FAR too many negative associations with it which must be cleared as far as I'm concerned. This house needs some lovin' because along with the 12th it's got a pretty nasty rap. You've got your moon in the 12th Lara, and that's associated with healing too. Another 'malefic' house. I hate the terminology. IP: Logged |

I know for me asides from the 6th house stellium, I've got Neptune in the 7th/8th and moon in the 12th, as well as Moon on the 3rd for empathy.I think with the healing stuff there's probably stuff having to do with the 6th, 12th, 8th, and even the 9th maybe for adopting 'higher' philosophies. in whole sign houses i have my moon in the 6th. it actually fits better for me than moon in the 4th. when i first started looking it up i was astounded how many times i read that it's an unhappy house. i agree wholeheartedly with you mVm about its energy and the patriarichal b.s. perpetuating this negative view of it. as well as some forms of feminism to a large degree..IP: Logged |

Yeah, I prefer whole sign houses myself, it puts my Venus in the 7th instead of the 6th (which never felt quite right). Let's see - Virgo, the virgin huntress, belonging to no one man. And also like the temple priestesses who initiated men into the mysteries....temple 'prostitutes' they're called now. So much of this stuff was downgraded with the patriarchal crap. They took the feminine and de-clawed it, de-fanged it, and basically just neutered it so that it's completely benign and not considered threatening to anything male. Since female sexuality was so unpredictable and huge, the only thing they could do was try to regulate it since it was seen as a threat. The only acceptable forms of femininity became associated with the virgin in a literal state of virginity, completely benign and harmless (when in fact it's not), only existing to *service* and in a state of sexual servitude....that's how you get the whole virgin/wh0re dichotomy associated with Virgo. She went from being thoroughly fused to her sexuality to being completely divided and remains un-integrated. I really think a lot of this is why the sign of Virgo and the 6th house in general is still *so* misunderstood.... it's as though it remains divided because of all that patriarchal damage. That's why the sign and the house is associated with all this seemingly benign, insipid stuff that just makes no sense at all in the big picture. It still needs to be integrated! It's time to reclaim it, dammit! IP: Logged |

I have Moon in Pisces conjunct Mars in Aquarius in 6th square Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd. My Moon in Pisces in 6th trines Sun in Scorpio in 2nd.I have a Virgo Ascendant. I am person who is very nonlinear, rightbrained(my neurodivergence),and so I have problems with everything that has to do with linear concept like routine, organization, sequences, time as well as sensory integration issues which is typical of people with neurodivergence. I was in military service, U.S. Navy which I had a lot of problems with....my personality type, neurodivergence didn't fit the navy. I did a lot of menial work in the navy, especially a lot of cleaning. I have history of history of unemployment I am interested in alternative, natural, metaphysical healing therapies. I like herbs, and they have strong effect on me. I am seeing a shamanic for healing work on me. I am certified in Massage Therapy from 720 hour massage therapy course. my Pisces Moon in 6th square Neptune fits my history of psychiatric misdiagnoses including psychiatrists misdiagnosing my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia,ADHD as Schizoaffective Bipolar as well as hypersensitivity to medications to the point that I get side effects due to an ultrasensitive body. I am also prone to being highly psychosomatic. With my Moon in Pisces square Neptune,I am psychic/emotional sponge but with it being in the 6th house, what I pick up emotionally, psychically affects my health, work, daily routine and vice versa. The 3rd house with Neptune in it,the mind is psychically affected by things.....3rd house-6th house...mental health....mind and body strongly connected. Therefore my configuration is mainly about a strong. mind-body-spirit connection. I do believe that my path involves being in the healing arts and neurodiversity advocacy, helping my fellow neurodivergents.
I have retrograde Chiron in Aries in 8th conjunct Eris in Aries in 8th with 1'43 orb, trine Jupiter in Sagittarius in with 2'16 orb, sextile Midheaven in Gemini with 42 minutes of arc and sextile North Lunar Node with 3 minutes as well as parallel Ascendant with 21 minutes of arc and contraparallel Uranus with 43 minutes of arc. Hygeia is the asteroid of health. My Hygeia is in Libra in 2nd oppose Chiron with 1'32 orb, trine North Lunar Node in Aquarius in 5th with 1'38 orb, trine Midheaven in Gmeini with 2'24 orb, parallel Uranus with 43 minutes of arc, parallel Chiron exact, and contraparallel Virgo Ascendant with 21 minutes of arc

In a sense, in this (my) direction, you help me become aware of the people I work around. Getting your perspective Glaucus, helps me to always think about their perspective of their world Thanks MVM, for your succinct take on Virgo. I find Virgos incredibly sexy!!! I also found a lot of gay women are Virgos with Venus in Virgo, too. I have Venus in Virgo, as well as Uranus and Pluto. But back to the thread topic - I respect the 6th house for its focus on service, small animals and health - these are areas which provide a lot of satisfaction in my life - even though I do have an empty 6th house.
