This guy keeps asking me out, and he won't take my "let's just be friends" speech for an answer. He wants a "date". Like a sit down dinner date. It's a pretty large asian community in NYC, but he's been around the block SEVERAL times, and knows everyone. He's very popular with the girls, and his reputation as a player precedes him. When I met him for the first time, a few weeks ago at a local bar, he seemed like a dork, and I didn't get a player vibe from him at all. He seemed nice. But then when I spoke to him yesterday, he's all smooooth talking all of a sudden! My friend said he's had a LOT of girls, and can be sleazy, which intimidates me, cause I've had almost NO experience with the dating scene, and I'm afraid it would be quite easy for me to get played, or used, or BOTH. It's a jungle out there, so I wanted to be extra cautious. This is his chart, but I don't know his birth time, or place of birth, so the houses will not be accurate. From the aspects can anyone tell me what this guy is about? Does the chart show potential for a person to be a player or womanizer? Is there a "sleaze ball" aspect I can look for? LOL! When I look at him, he seems like a dork, but apparently girls are all over him. Go figure.

That almost exact sun pluto square could give him a magnatism and/or charisma even if he's not very good looking. This could be one reason for the girls being all over him.IP: Logged |

But that's the thing Heartcakes, when I met him, he didn't seem like a player. To me, he seemed like a dorky, nice guy. But then again, my judgement is probably not the best, since it's been a while since I've really been out in the dating scene. It's a friend of mine telling me he has a reputation of a player. Thanks Emma, I'll be on my watch. I didn't know mars in Leo was "player" potential! LL14, that's terrible! LOL!! And no, I've never been to QC, is it in Queens or the city? Scrappydog, I don't know his birth time, so his Asc may not be Libra. You're right though, he's not good looking at ALL, but apparently has girls falling all over him. That's why I'm a bit afraid that if I go out with him, I may fall for him, which I DON'T want if he's a player. I do think he's got a great personality though! Very witty! I agree with Emma. Love is hard enough...explore the dating scene with guys who your first impression of is--Wow! This guy is gorgeous and cool and open-hearted and seems wonderful--rather than guys who seem dubious/possibly a little sleazy or troubled even before you get to know them. Life's too short.If you have any intuitive twinges telling you "Eh" about this guy already, trust them, they're accurate. It might not be that he's a player, but something is wrong about him for you. I know Emma, I shouldn't waste my time on someone who could be a player, but I really like his personality. He has that witty spark that is hard to find. I don't date much, so there aren't many guys on the radar at the moment.So, you think I should pass on this one? IP: Logged |

Arghhh, that's not the answer I wanted to hear!
You and Lucia are tag teaming me. LOL!!!You guys are probably right. But why do NO "quality" guys ever ask me out? It's always the guys with issues, or the players, or the non-commital ones! It's so hard to find a good date! LOL!!!

Beware of the dorks. They're chick magnets. That whole shucks-nothing-special-about-me veneer is something he is using to his advantage. He uses his dorkiness to reel 'em him since it makes him look all benign. Beware, beware. Of course, you could play it and make him fall in love with you, then rip his heart out.
But that'll just get him more sympathy. Moon conjunct ascendant - he's good with women because he listens. They feel like he's on their side, and he is, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have an agenda either.

Dorks are players now too? *sobs* Well he has the same sun, moon, mercury, and venus as me. The mars and ASC are different but I have a fire mars and Cardinal ASC too so I pretty much have an identical chart. I gotta admit I am a dork at heart but player? I wish.  J/K, I'm surprised/pleased that people haven't blamed it on his gemini venus yet...though I'm too biased so don't listen to me when I say to rule this out. I mean I guess a gemini venus could manifest this way, its just that alot of *other* gemini venuses I met aren't this way. *shrugs* His aspects to his mars and venus kind of point to him being being idealistic though, and not so much a player. Venus opposition Neptune is one of those, along with mars trine neptune...which would make him very alluring to women. Though Eros is opposite Uranus which also happens to be the ruler of his 5th house. Overall, my advice would be that if you really like the guy, go for it and give him enough rope to hang himself....LOL That way if he does turn out to be the playa you thought he was, you won't be so dissapointed. Thanks Dulce Luna! I'm surprised no one pointed out the Air Venus too! That usually gets a bad rep! So you have a similar chart to him, and you're a dork and not a player? That's hopeful! LOL! I do like his personality a lot. I just don't want to go out with him and be disappointed. I'll sleep on it, and see how i feel about it in the morning! Unfortunately, it seems dorks are the new players now.

Not all dorks are players, but the ones who use their own dorkiness to charm are most certainly suspect I personally love the dork factor, so I'd find it hard to resist....but resist I shall GemGem, I think you should just do what feels right. Going out on a single date isn't a terrible thing, maybe you'll enjoy yourself...but if you don't trust yourself, then maybe it's best not to tempt fate (or dorks ) IP: Logged |
