My mom has diabetes, and she has it so bad that she had to get one of legs amputed, lost teeth, and just very bad circulation.

I believe that her diabetes was caused by antipsychotic meds that she was forced to take when she was 12 to 13 years old because she acted up in a mental hospital because she wanted to go home. She had tried to commit suicide when she was in fosterhome. She was in 13 fosterhomes.

My mother also has Hepatitis C,and so she has chronic liver problems.

As you see, my mom is a high emotional, sensitive person.

She has has nothing in her 6th house

She has Scorpio on 6th house, and so Pluto is her 6th house ruler.
her Pluto is in Leo in 3rd house aspecting the following:
sextile Sun - '54
sextile Neptune - '30
trine Sedna - 2'35
sesquiquadrate Eris - '51
parallel Sun - '03
square Moon - 4'02
parallel Mercury - '00
parallel Venus - '10
parallel Jupiter - '10
parallel Uranus - '56
parallel Ascendant - '18
contraparallel Node - '31

She has a minor grand trine of Sun,Neptune, and Pluto with corresponding midpoint pictures
Pluto conjunct Sun/Neptune - '12
Neptune square Sun/Pluto - '57

I read that configurations involving Sun,Pluto,Neptune have to do with breaking down the body.

Sun in Gemini
Moon in Scorpio
Ascendant in Cancer

I don't put much emphasis on 6th house when it comes to looking at medical issues. Some astrologers like Noel Tyl say that the 12th house is the house associated with chronic health problems. Some say that the 1st house has to do with health.

I prefer Cosmobiology to look at medical issues. They use the conjunction, opposition, square, semisquare, sesquiquadrate.
They don't use any houses and put very little emphasis on zodiac signs. They use midpoints extensively. They also use declinations...even with midpoints. They also look at quincunxes. They also look at trines, sextiles if they are involved in aspect patterns that have corresponding midpoint pictures.

the following is from page 103 - 104 of
MEDICAL ASTROLOGY Healing of the 21st Century by Marcia Starck

"Diabetes and Hypoglycemia are ruled by the planet Jupiter and sign, Sagittarius, since Jupiter governs the liver and pancreas. As a storage container for glycogen(the chief carbohydrate storage material) the liver is co-ruled by the Moon, which governs storage containers. When Jupiter is angular, conjoined the Sun or Moon or another planet, there may be a tendency to a weak or toxic liver or poorly functioning pancreas. This is also true with Sagittarian Sun,Moon,or ascendant. A strongly placed Jupiter may also indicate a condition of overweight, which contributes to diabetes."

"Saturn in hard aspect to Jupiter inhibits the functioning of these organs. Uranus in hard aspect to Jupiter may create an erratic functioning of the liver and pancreas. Neptune in hard aspect to Jupiter indicates conditions of toxicity, as well as blood sugar problems, and possible use of alcohol and drugs. Pluto in hard aspect to Jupiter may indicate a chronic problem with the liver or pancreas."

"Neptune rules the pituitary gland so a weakened Neptune or prominent Pisces theme may predispose the individual to imbalances in the metabolic system. Venus rules sugar and also the kidneys, which are involved in eliminating excess sugar, and also in helping to maintain the acid alkaline balance. Saturn rules the gall bladder, which stores the bile that the liver produces; hard aspects from Saturn to Jupiter are often found."

"It is difficult to discern astrologically whether the manifestation will be toward hypoglycemia or diabetes. After seeing many case histories, I have found no difference in the astrological patterns; therefore some sort of testing is necessary."

"MIDPOINTS
in addition to Saturn/Neptune,Mars/Neptune,Mars/Saturn,and Mars/Uranus, other relevant midpoints to check are:

"Jupiter/Saturn - gall bladder,pancreas,liver"

"Jupiter/Neptune - inability to deal with toxins"

"Venus/Jupiter - assimilation to carbohydrates"

"Venus/Neptune - weakened glandular functions,blood sugar problems"

"Combinations of planets that may point to a tendency toward metabolic imbalance when found in a T-square or midpoint configuration include:"

"Saturn,Neptune,and Jupiter
Mars,Neptune,and Jupiter
Venus,Neptune,and Jupiter
Saturn,Neptune,and Venus
Mars,Neptune,and Venus
Jupiter,Saturn,and Venus
Mars,Saturn,and Jupiter"

My mom has the following aspect configurations and midpoint pictures that show potential problems for diabetes
Mercury conjunct Venus/Jupiter - '39

She has significant prominent Neptune
aspect configuration/midpoint pictures:

Sun,Neptune,Pluto minor grand trine
corresponding midpoint pictures of
Pluto conjunct Sun/Neptune - '10
Neptune square Sun/Pluto - '57

Venus,Neptune, and Midheaven in Pisces in 8th harmonic aspect to each other
Venus sesquiquadrate Midheaven 1'07
Neptune sesquiquadrate Midheaven -'32
Venus square Neptune - 1'39 (problems with blood sugar)
corresponding midpoint picture of
Midheaven oppose Venus/Neptune - '17
(blood sugar problems)

Uranus square Neptune - 1'59
corresponding midpoint picture of
Neptune square Venus/Uranus - '09

She has a t-square of Venus,Neptune, and Sedna with corresponding midpoint picture of
Venus conjunct Neptune/Sedna -'37
I believe that this configuration is involved with Diabetes.....especially with Venus square Neptune can indicate blood sugar problems....Sedna being a kuiper belt object could indicate that it's a serious issue that is hard to control.

Ascendant oppose Neptune/Midheaven - '59

my mom has a prominent Jupiter influence, and she is overweight
Moon sesquiquadrate Jupiter - '37 (problems with liver, pancreas)
Sun parallel Jupiter - '06
Mercury parallel Jupiter - '10
Venus parallel Jupiter - '21 (problems with pancreas, liver)
Mars oppose Jupiter - 1'19
Jupiter parallel Pluto - '10 (chronic problem with liver, pancreas)
Jupiter contraparallel Node - '41
Jupiter conjunct Ascendant - 4'17
Jupiter parallel Ascendant - '08

My grandmother (deceased) had Type I diabetes, but I don't know her time of birth. I just know she was a Taurus sun with a definite leo moon.

I heard an afflicted venus might have something to do with it. At any rate she had venus in pisces square Jupiter.

I'd say both Venus and Jupiter. Jupiter rules the pancreas. Diabetes is problems with the pancreas.
