OK group share...

Am i right in thinking that the DC is how we are in a relationship and our AC is how we are in daily life?

Let me try to explain myself better
I have a tendency to be not very touchy feely with friends yet with a man/lover i LOVE to be touchy feely, tactile and for them to be like that with me. I love that playfulness that men with Leo in their charts have for instance and yet with Leo friends it's the opposite.

If l do have Aquarius AC, would this explain why i'm like this?

Also l have this weird thing where l LOVE to shock... totally shock and yet i absolutely hate it when my shocking attracts attention LOL
I get sooooo embarrassed.

So weird!!! I'm just weird

i understood what you said in the first line.

and yeh, you are just a total wierdo

anyway, i think you are right. but i think what you mean is just a more in depth idea of what has been said about the ac & dc.

ac is what we project, dc is what we want to project onto others. maybe that other, is the lover..

?

well, I agree with you Lara, I think ASC describes our social demeanor and DSC shows how we operate in one-to-one relationships, that's why DSC is supposed to show qualities we are looking for in potential partners

Thanks Peri for agreeing cos i actually really thought l was going mad cos l am so aloof and non tactile with friends and yet SO tactile and all over my loved one. It's so contradictory.

I'm like the odd one out with friends and then i'm the hold hands, romantic, smoochy one with my man, especially Leo prominent men.

Libralove - love you too honey!

Write, are you uranus rising?

Isn't it just embarrassing to attract and yet repel attention?
I was at this party on Friday night and was being a bit shocking, yet as soon as people started jiving with me, l left lol
and not only that, by leaving l missed all the really shocking part which was everyone jumping into the pool!

crazy...

LL, l will say this only once more "i am not ego-tis-ti-cal.
If l was, i'd be covered in jewelry and having parties shouting from Nelson's Column "look at me" and i'm completely the opposite!!

Yes, i like the playfulness of LEO... not the sun sign LEO nor the moon sign but venus/mars - the subtler side.

So take a chill pill baby whilst l readjust your scales.

i attract attention wherever i go usually. i stick out despite the fact i dont try to...and my habits definitely come off strange to people...and the only reason i think its strange because people have pointed it out. im more calmer now that im older...people are fascinated with me or think im a a--hole.

yup, i dig that. I def think that my Leo DC allows me to be playful and warm where my Aqua AC prohibits me.
"nuts" and "eccentric" are the two most popular words to describe me although my friends get to see my big heart as a reward for knowing me for a decade!

No LL but you are hell bent on judging me for my EGO cos EGO is commonly linked to Leo AC!!

Why is it necessary to judge me when you never even met me! Come down to my hood right now for fisty cuffs! I bet you live really close to me too... sod's law! lol

LOL you think l live in the ghetto? hahahaha

I live about as central as you can get! It's not ego you are seeing, it's my need to protect and defend my individuality...
and my aries courage.

Ego is when you are selfish, seeking approval, insecure and crave attention, dominate, have guilt, blackmail and are arrogant.

I guess it is really hard to see people as they are 'online' after all.

lol your a funny girl.

yeh ego is all of that, but its mainly a "me me me" "im the best" "im never wrong" "im allways the winner" etc etc........ doesn't accept any kind of loss or being wrong. and has to always make out how good they are.

lol i'm not apologizing for my intelligence LL !!!!
The rest of it you can keep... i'm not into all that sh1t. My FB motto isn't "EGO is the root of all evil. SPIRIT is the root and tree of love" for no reason

"1. The self, especially as distinct from the world and other selves.
2. In psychoanalysis, the division of the psyche that is conscious, most immediately controls thought and behavior, and is most in touch with external reality.

3.
a) An exaggerated sense of self-importance; conceit.
b)Appropriate pride in oneself; self-esteem"
http://www.answers.com/topic/ego

The basic meaning of EGO is just "Self" or "identity"; since I`m convinced everyone has a Self, or an identity, I am also convinced everyone has an Ego.

"egotistical
One entry found.

Main Entry: ego·tism
Pronunciation: \ˈç-gə-ˌti-zəm also ˈe-\
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin ego + English -tism (as in idiotism)
Date: 1714
1 a: excessive use of the first person singular personal pronoun b: the practice of talking about oneself too much
2: an exaggerated sense of self-importance : conceit — compare egoism "

As you can see being "egotistical" is not the same as having an "Ego".

Being ego-tistical is just an overemphasised expression of one`s Self; I think in the common belief, someone who is ego-tistical, puts him- or herself at the first place, and acts or feels that the needs / feelings / opinions / experession of others are secondary.

EDIT:
Ego is simply the latin word for "I / Me" with no judgement attached.

where i live, and through all people iv met, all of us mean that, when people say something like "whoa, what an ego", we mean the person being egotistical.

yes everyone has an ego, but when people state it, they are emphasizing the person they saying it to that they are egotistical.

LL,

I basically agree with you. Just wanted to mention that there really is a difference between "Ego" and "egotism".
But of course you`re right, if we say, someone has an "Ego", we`re not necessarily talking about their identity, but about an overemphasis on themselves.
