So, on my Venus return, Venus entered its "shadow" period. On that day I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection. On March 6th Venus will begin to retrograde back and when it does, it will pass over my natal Venus (29 Pisces) AGAIN. So now, 2 weeks later, I have yet ANOTHER uti. I don't think I will be fully cured until Venus goes direct on March 17th.Anyway, I'm guessing that my UTIs are a reflection of the Venus retrograde because Venus rules the kidneys. Interestingly, in my Western chart, Scorpio rules my 6th, but in my Vedic chart, Libra rules my 6th. HMMMMMMMM. Have you guys been experiencing any effects? IP: Logged |

Amowls,What house is your Venus in? What planets rules your 12th, 1st and 6th Houses? Sorry, I just realized you said that Venus rules your 6th House in Libra. I highly doubt that it's just Venus doing this. There must be some planetary stress happening with one or more of the rulers of the houses I mentioned or stress to your ASC. Or some of the planets within those houses. I highly suspect that Venus, whether retrograde or not, is more of an echo or some type of repeat of the stronger stresses. Take a look at the points I suggested. I hope you are feeling better very soon. IP: Logged |

Mercury rules my 1st, Venus(!) rules my 12th, Pluto rules my 6th.Venus is in my 10th in Pisces, Mercury is in my 9th in Aquarius, Pluto is in my 5th in Scorpio. There are several squares hitting my natal Pluto right now (all within 2 degrees). And transiting Pluto has been squaring my natal Venus, but this has been going on for about 2 years now. Trust me, it's more the Pluto square Venus and then second, it's the Venus return plus retrograde. Hopefully, the retrograde won't emphasize it again. The 12th House and 1st House are more primary health centers than the 6th House. Venus rules the entire endocrin system so if you've been having any other glandular type issues while Venus is being squared by Pluto, that would be it.My 12th House is intercepted by Taurus, so both Venus and Mars rule my 12th House so I totally understand what you're going through. For me, it's lower back issues that are related to reproductive and rectal issues, unfortunately, ouch the burning. Venus also rules my 6th. 6th House issues are more accute, so hopefully it's the accute stuff for you. Anything that is cleansing to your system should help. IP: Logged |

I believe there might have been a similar retorgrade or eff-up in the cosmos during 2007, sounds like we experienced the same thing! UTI after UTI, a full blown kidney infection, extreme pain. I also have a lot of libra in my chart, maybe that's a factor. IP: Logged |

amowls, my mother used to call those honeymoon cystitis, and say they mostly came from rough hot sex. although she has a active imagination, she may have been on to something. make sure to urinate after sex whether you need to or not and that will send the bacteria back out of your uretha. and if that is the case, uhm, could be worse things. i know they are painful though and i would say if you have had more than one, you may need an antibiotic. venus retrograde, not so fun.IP: Logged |

i may add that i also experienced urinary tract infection in the summer/autumn of 2007 when Venus was retrograde... usually i go to the doctor, get anti-biotics, and it's cured, but it wasn't going away as easily this time and it was giving me lots of trouble. ...maybe i should keep it in mind and be careful this year too? I had the same issue with antibiotics, my body became almost resistant.Eat a lot of yogurt (or foods with good bacteria), raw unsweetened cranberry juice, lots of water, avoid caffeine, and take some vitamins. I just had to be really careful of what I was putting into my body in order to get better. Good luck! <3 IP: Logged |

Thanks for all the advice guys I'm on antibiotics now and it seems to have gone away, but idk the first time this happened it seemed to have gone away after antibiotics too. I finish my pills in 2 days.Peri, Pluto square Venus made me INSANE. I became really needy and clingy. It's not a good transit if you're an Aquarius Sun and hate being clingy. IP: Logged | |
