I’m blaming Saturn for me not being able to feel motivated in writing my second novel.. It’s currently retrograding my second house until May. I’m also going through Uranus trine mars and Uranus trine venus transits, which helped considerably last July when I started writing my first children’s novel. I was like a person possessed and I was writing until 3am. This time around I’ve had nothing from these Uranus transits, I’ve felt more tired than motivated and unable to shape my ideas and I reckon it’s Saturn’s fault. I also have Saturn squaring Neptune at the moment. Is Saturn known for ruining one’s creativity? Has it done the same to you? I don't believe that we should blame planetary alignments for things that go wrong in our lives. I believe that planetary alignments are in synchronicity with what goes in our lives and life lessons during our soul's incarnation on this planet.Saturn is a planet of discipline, structure. It can be a time that you can become more disciplined and structure when you have Saturn transits. the outcomes of transits depends on the choices you make and the actions that you take. I believe in personal responsibility. Astrology shouldn't be used to deny personal responsibility in any way. Free will is the ultimate factor. The future is what we make of it.

hi mystic I agree with everything raymond has said but also... how many years have you been writing altogether?... have you tried structuring your day differently? what does your birthchart say about your style of writing? you say novel but how many pages? is it possible to break it down a bit into smaller more manageable chunks? maybe this book will have a more serious tone? saturn in your 2nd might restrict your feelings of self worth but not your creativity unless it's directly linked to your sun/mercury if its the retro process itself you may have to use the time to go back over original ideas...the basic structure could be wrong or need tweeking somehow do you write mystery stuff?? you have posted this question whilst the moon is conjunct your natal pluto so it could be the problem is a deep rooted one,do some soul searching on maybe sunday/monday as the moon crosses your mercury and see what comes up,just write whatever comes...not to do with the book ...your personal stuff...if you have a blockage it can be like trying to get an elephant thru the eye of a needle so you might just need to have a good personal rant to fre things up a bit quinnIP: Logged |

Yeah, I mean don't blame but Saturn is not exactly Mr. Creativity, you know? He wants results, but isn't frivolous. He's been on my sun and it's in the 5th and is moving past that. Don't get me wrong, it's been a learning experience. But for creativity and freedom of inspiration? Saturn can really suck. One thing that I am doing with my own 2nd book though (because I write too) is restructuring the outline of the thing. Saturn seems to encourage that, and I am finding myself needing to really break up the structure. I scrapped 400 pages I wrote during this transit and have to start from scratch (I also have t Pluto conj my 9th house NN). So as far as free will goes: Sure, it's true. BUT these transits are like reflections as well of what we're going through internally, so the free will comes in how we deal with the transit. Going against it can be your free will, but it's not advisable since in the end you just get frustrated. It's possible Saturn is making you rethink your project and this is like a gestation (like Afflicted pointed out). If you don't want to write, DON'T. I was banging my head against the wall trying to after years of having it flow through me. The writing comes in waves and peaks anyway, so sometimes it's like a transition when your writing voice changes or the narrative/outline is in need of tweaking. I just started taking a writing workshop and it's gtting me out of my rut slightly, but not by much. I think I just need to see the transit end in August to get the whole picture or something. I agree with VirgoMask. It's not so much about blaming Saturn or the stars. It's about realizing that some transits are more propitious to certain activities and not to others. You can go with the flow (go with the stars) or go against the flow (go against the stars). Saturn transit is not known for creativity and flights of the imagination. Saturn is all about bringing you down to earth, getting you grounded. So, if you're writing a novel that requires lots of creativity, it may not be a good time, though you can exercise your free will and force yourself to be creative. But it can be a good time to get organized and take writing classes, and write a How-To book, etc... As an astrologer. for me it's about realizing the gift in any transit, and going with it, not against it. Otherwise, studying astrology would be pointless to me. IP: Logged | |
