I was a bit afraid of that transit - but: Huh! How it changed my whole life to the positive!

Tr. Saturn was approaching my MC from the 9th house in late fall/early winter last year - until then my life had become stuck in a rut, especially my free lancing career as a self-employed person had been on the decline a bit. When Tr. Saturn went over my MC the first time (at the end of 2008) I received a totally surprising phone call - I was offered a job, employed, quite a prestiguous job position, a big company, good payment, but: A change of town (move) included - AND: A job that somehow is contrary to all I had imagined for myself and worked on over the last 8 years ... Still, the offer was just too great to ignore it.

The first interview/talk I had there was astonishingly easy and friendly .. so I accepted in late Decembre.

While Tr. Saturn was moving further into my 10th house (since the beginning of that year) I had an awful lot of work to do - a lot of hectic involved, much stress: Had to find an appartment in the new town quickly, had to prepare for the new job and its responsibilities ... all so quickly! But then .. I managed to organize everything - and I have moved to that new town about 5 weeks ago and started that new job - and all works well.

In fact: Totally out of the blue, my whole life, my whole surroundings have changed. I am in a completely new place now... And have to accustom myself to it. Tr. Saturn really asked a lot from me. But I truly believe, that this will be to my advantage. All this gave my career a decent boost already, the gossip "Wow, she got that job!" etc., haha ;-)

The "price" I had to pay so far: My private life (leisure, love) was practically non-existent over the last 3 months, because I had to invest so much time and energy into that new situation. But spring is coming, and I am expecting the best, once I am more settled and used to everything.

Tr. Saturn wandered back to my 9th house (crossed my MC the 2nd time, on his reverse way) just the week when I actually started that new job. It is now in my 9th house - and will cross my MC a third time in early summer, re-entering my 10th house. Then, I will have worked there for almost half a year already ... and I hope I'll see some (monetary?) rewards from that ... ;-)

Tr. SATURN is a good thing, indeed! The last exciting overhaul in my life I experienced was, when tr. Saturn was conjunct my natal Sun in 2004/2005. I finally was able to leave a man I didn't love anymore (after 9 years), and I had made a move then, too.

When tr. Saturn conjuncted my natal Venus in 2007/2008 I fell madly and deeply in love with a new man - a very hurtful experience, I must admit. But I learned a lot about my own style of loving, my needs and illusions.

All the best for you! If you are ready to welcome Saturn he'll treat you with respect, will challenge you ... but certainly for the better, he makes a diamond out of a charcoal (Can you say so in English?) ;-)

*** edit: a P.S.: It was impossible for me to ignore Saturn's call now, because it all was so plausible! In an instant I sort of understood: All the struggling I had done over the last 4-5 years, jobwise and in my private life ... was somehow in vain. I had set my bet on the wrong causes, in a way. That new job offer, bringing some strict rules and settings with it, may be the perfect arena for me to show what I am really good at - I truly believe that! It is as if I wasn't able to see the trees, I only saw the forrets, and had gotten confused a bit, lately. My dreams were too far out and I was about ... to lose my way. Tr. Saturn really, really acted like a stern, but loving father to me. And I was very (!) willing to let myself be guided this time ...***

I can't remember anything special happening when Saturn was exactly conjunct MC, but when it proceeded further through my 10 hs it was a bit frustrating. I had an incredibly dull job where I had little to do and was low-paid. Despite my efforts I could not find another one. So I had to spend office hours learning something new which turned out to be of use in a long run.

I have Saturn on my MC naturally and have had no problems. I think it makes you pay serious attention to career. The last time I had it by transit in my 10th I was doing a whole lot in career. Don't fear the Saturn stuff! It's been great. Gives courage, a sense of purpose, makes you earn a sense of satisfaction...so you don't just feel 'lucky', you feel you've earned something and can gloat for good reason

The worst Saturn transits for me were the squares to my Venus which is also my chart ruler, and Mars about 2 years ago. This was also at the same time when t Saturn was conjunct my IC. I'm SO glad that's over. One of my worst transits, ever. I would definitely say Saturn on the IC is more annoying than the MC - if your chart's not used to it, it can feel stifling, smothering.

It was great. I got major responsibilities at work, gained respect, was busier than I'd ever been there.

BUT...As Saturn's passed through my 10th, it's been rough. And with the uranus opposition, you might have similar problems to me, depending on when it crosses the MC. It's a rough gig. Make sure you solidify your place in the world and your plans as best you can.
