Mercury stuff, I would think, along with 3rd house thingies. I'm a huge bookworm and have a very heavily aspected Mercury. I've got the moon on the 3rd house cusp, so maybe that's why I consider reading 'comforting'. Dunno. IP: Logged |

Peri, I was curious if Mercury retro would make you like reading historical books, period pieces, etc.IP: Logged |

I'm a big reader, and don't have anything (that I know of) in the third house. I have Mercury in the sixth house, conjunct Ceres/Chiron/Sun, and widely square Saturn. *Edit ~ Oh! and Moon conjunct Venus in Gemini. IP: Logged |

YES! Well, I dont know if I have anything in 3rd house. I'm currently investigating possibilities. But, I think I may have Pluto in 3rd It opposes my Mercury. And I am obsessed with books! It's like a mental therapy to me.

well i have only NN in third, and that is only if you use equal houses...but gemini on the cusp of the 5th, merc conj vertex in virgo, and sag in 10th...a lot of people forget the philosophical side of sag which loves history, words and ideas - all found in books!!IP: Logged |

Also, I keep them in very good nick. They look almost brand new! Paying too much attention to the appearance of books has anything to do with having Virgo/Libra on the 3rd cusp?? Which one?

i have mercury conjoining my venus in VIRGO in the 8th house, i'm not only a bookworm, but i don't let go of my books or let anybody borrow them i'm possessive lol. its mine! hehe. but reallly everytime i let anybody borrow i almost never get them back. i reallllllllllly think virgo planets make a bookworm. virgos love books, not just reading them but just books themselves.

I have a flush of planets in Virgo and Moon in the 3rd. I read alot..I do go in spurts though. I also spend alot of time at the library. I love the library My mom had me in "Weekly Reader Club" when I was young. I would not part with my favorites. It was cool because I read them to my kids and those were some of their favorites too. I am the ultimate bookworm with over 2,000 books, magazines, and newspapers in my personal library. I have Mercury in the 1st house trining the MC, which according to Sakoian and Acker means that "the home is likely to be a place of intellectual endeavor and probably contains a sizable library."IP: Logged |

Me too Plutonian - on the huge library front. I can't breathe for books. What types do people here read? I have at least 60 books on food. 100+ on health. 200+ on alternative medicine/vaccination research. 300+ on photography. 10 on astrology. over 500+ on esoteric, witchcraft, conscious/unconscious mind. maybe 200 books on countries. 100+ on interior design. Numerous architecture books and map books, culture and atlantis. About 100 books by russian writers and poets and then the rest which must be at least 400 are fiction and shakespeare, blake, all brit poets, most romantic old writers in UK... non fiction of metaphysics, Formula one, animals blah blah blah oh and at least 60 books on crystals and shamanic healing; hands on healing, kinesiology, massage etc etc It's insane. I think i need ebay!!! IP: Logged |
