So, the world`s been saved; I am back.
BTW synastry only highlights potential; but it needs "triggers" to get active.
Lucia,
what was going on between the progressed charts of you, too?
Could it be that your Venus, ruler of 5th, 7th or 8th house, or Eros have been strongly triggered, while his weren`t?
I also think I remember a thread where it said, that with the Venus-NN-conjunction, the NN-owner probably would feel it more, while Venus still could walk away.
Maybe this is so, because for the NN-person their whole path / purpose / destiny is touched?
But of course I don`t know. Unrequited feelings fascinate me (well, the astrology of them, the real feelings are a ve3ry painful experience imo), but in most cases I have seen that one person`s softer planets like Moon or Venus (or even Eros) were highly triggered along with the ruler of 5th, 7th and 8th house, while the other person had a much weaker involvement of these planets / points. Especially the houserulers are sometimes interesting.
Also, I know I am repeating myself, but look at progressions and transits.
Let`s say oyu have an exact Venus-NN-conjunction plus Venus/Mars plus Sun/Moon - it will most of the time lie dormant, until a planet comes and wakes it up (through progression or maybe even transits).
Also, do not forget, every person reacts differently to synastric aspects, depending on their natals.
Personally I knew a boy in highschool I was highly interested in. The whole "butterflies in stomach" scenario.
My Uranus was conjunct his Moon.
I LOVED that excitement, that unpredictability (to a certain degree). He drove me crazy and I was like: "more, more of that uncertainty". lol
I think he didn`t feel that way. It was a strange connection. He certainly didn`t like my Uranian vibe. lol
I think the same conjunction triggered very different reactions inside us. Why?
One of the reason is that I have Moon in Aquarius - so Moon-uranus in synastry is no problem for me. I know that, I AM like that, I need that excitement and new experiences and unusual events (Hmm, maybe one reason I love STargate so much? And the main actor is Aquarius, well I guess that fits. lol).
However, that boy from school had Moon in Scorpio and no strong Uranian aspects. He certainly didn`t like my unpredictability. lol
Another example:
I met someone some time ago and the synastry was AWESOME. Sun-Moon-conjunction, Venus-Mars-trine, aspects bewteen ruler of ASC and DSC and many many more.
But we didn`t have any Venus-Pluto or Mars-Pluto aspects.
I`m not saying those are necessary for everyone, but it`s safe to say they are necessary for ME.
It`s simple as that: No Pluto aspecting Venus or Mars - no attraction. AFfinity, sympathy, affection, yes, mucho, but no real attraction on my part.
Why is that so?
Well, I think in my case it has to do with my Venus-Pluto square and the fact that Venus rules my 5th house of what is attractive to me.
It also means, that I am passionately drawn to people, who have that Venus-Pluto or Mars-Pluto-theme in their natals.
Relationships are complex, and so is synastry.
