No, I can't, and I know that sounds bad of me. And I'm certainly no authority myself. I just see him more of a one-on-one kind of person and I can't imagine he'd be able to stomach the possible violence that might come with the job. The reality might make him bitter. But I do think he should help people in some way, because it seems he'd be really, really good at it. And he might have a good, investigative mind and keen intuition. What about forensics or trauma counseling or something like that?Of course it's his life, so if this is what he really wants, he should totally go for it...astrology won't dictate. IP: Logged |

I have to agree. I don't think his chart is one for law enforcement.especially with his Neptune so angular...conjuncting his Midheaven and squaring his Pisces Ascendant for a Neptune-Ascendant double whammy. That indicates an ultrasensitive person. Neptune conjunct Midheaven can indicate that unless his career involves inspiration, selfless service, creativity, there can be confusion, deception in his career...he could be confused about what he wants in a career. It's very important for him to understand the energies of Neptune with it so strong in his chart. his Mercury trine Pluto indicates a deep, penetrating mind that is capable of being a good researcher, investigator. That can be good for solving crimes. Raymond

What he can do is perhaps Probation counselor or maybe parole officers, they carry guns and stuff but they are not out on the streets like cops are..Being a Cop is a harsh thing for some ppl, I know a few Pisces men that are Cops so it can be done, I don't know what their charts entails though. My bf is a Cop but he is a Aqua and he has seen some pretty harsh stuff. He can deal with that kind of stuff bc he deals with ideals and princples and fairness. Where us Pisces have lots of compassion and concern and we can be forgivng and give second chances.. Law enforcemnt does not stop at being a police officer there is other jobs under law enforcement that may fit him.. IP: Logged |

I think his chart looks more suitable for counseling, social work ...especially with the combination of his strong 12th house and strong 7th house as well as Mercury-Venus conjunction in Aquarius in 12th trine Pluto in Libra in 7th. Of course, his highly angular (conjunct Midheaven/square Ascendant) Neptune fits with that too. Raymond

Yeah....I definitely don't see an actual police officer or any other type that works out in field using guns and arresting people. I should have mentioned that in my first response in the thread. It's definitely more of a counselor, social work chart. also holistic health practitioners have this type of chart too with the the highly strong Neptune signatures it's often very hard for Outer Planet People to find the right jobs....especially if they are concerned about material, practical like most people in society do.
I will include the link on Outer Planet People thread that I made http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/000581.html Raymond

My rulership book says that protection is ruled by Jupiter (ruler of Sag), Police/policemen in general are ruled by Mars, Saturn, Virgo, the 6th house, Pluto and Jupiter, the law/law and order/courts is ruled by the 9th, Jupiter, Sagittarius and Libra/7th house, law enforcement is ruled by Mars/Aries and the 6th and law observance authorities is ruled by the Sun. One's reaction to the law is ruled by the 7th.My dissenting opinion is that yeah, I can definitely see it. MC in Sagittarius with the ruler (Jupiter) posited in the 7th, conjunct Saturn. IP: Logged |

I can see it too. Alot.Ruler of 10th, in libra. Moon in 8th AND in scorpio, natural detective. Neptune on the MC, good for undercover. Ruler of 6th in 12th, plus a lot in 12th. I can see him doing undercover work. Plus, pisces is so good at morphing into their environment. TN in leo - a lot of cops are leo, in the 6th house and sextile saturn and jupiter in the 7th. Saturn and Jupiter are the law. IP: Logged |

One quick note Yin, your friend isn't going through his Saturn Return yet. Wait until Saturn in Libra at the end of the year for the Saturn Return to occur. He's actually in the precursors which just as bad or worse than the actual Return.

Has he thought of the military or any other gov't type of jobs where he'd have to keep things secretive? I do see a law enforcement.(although i feel he'd be better at other things) 10th house is Sag, which rules law(among other things), ruler of his 6th, is in the 12th, meaning his job would/could be classified information, or he'd work in isolated areas. I see he has sun conj mars, which strengthen his chances of being a cop, with his other aspects, it gives him strength, and courage, and lots of energy. ruler of 10th is jupiter and jupiter is conj saturn exact. ive read jupiter/saturn conj helps with career. 12th house screams to me government job though...esp with the ruler of the 6th being in the 12th. does he have the proper education to apply for a job in gov't?IP: Logged |

I was thinking along the same lines as Amowls. I wasn't thinking of him as a police officer, but there is LAW in his chart. It's the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction in Libra and with Jupiter ruling his MC, that's judgment, the judge, a lawyer. Saturn suggests rules and discipline and Libra is the sign of social services and justice. So maybe he's not cut out to be a police officer, but there could be a place for him within the "law enforcement arena". Kind of like being in the music industry, you don't have to be the performer on the stage or an instrumentalist, you can be the recording engineer, the piano tuner, etc.IP: Logged |

My first impression was yes, there is potential.10th house is Sag which is associated with justice, law, what is "right". Its ruler Jupiter is conjunct Saturn exact so I think this gives a bit of seriousness and wanting to keep order and tradition upheld. 6th house ruler is the Sun which is conjunct Mars so I think this gives the person drive and assertiveness at work. and the Moon in Scorpio loves to dig deep and find things out. I thought pluto was undercover work? At any rate, his MC is ruled by sag and jupiter IS conjuncted by saturn, but I'm concerned about neptune conjuncting the midheaven from the 9th house, I'm not sure if he would be *black and white* enough for this field; he could be very 'grey' when it comes to the matter of the law. Of course, you know him well enough so maybe you can dispute that.

DulceExactly Neptune is the strongest influence in his chart with it being conjunct the Midheaven and square the Ascendant. In Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology, Midheaven is considered the most important, personal point...representing the moment and minute. That's why they look at events that are in synchronicity with aspects involving the Midheaven when they do rectification. Cosmobiology and Uranian Astrology don't use the houses systems that we use. Therefore, they don't look at ruler placements/aspects. They would look at the conjunction to the Midheaven in pertaining to the individual person, ego, consciousness, the "I" . They would look at the square to the Ascendant in pertaining to the environment, surroundings, and relationships. Neptune is very powerful in his chart with the conjunction to his Midheaven and square to his Ascendant. The cosmobiologists and uranian astrologers look at only the hard aspects in pertaining to events. They use tighter orbs too. Uranian Astrologers use no more than a 3 degree orb for regular aspects. Cosmobiologists use no more than 5 degree orb for them. Here is interpretations from Ruth Brummond's Rulebook for the following aspects:
Neptune conjunct Midheaven MC.NE.* + intuitive. sensitive. empathic. highly imaginative. tender. mediumistic. daydreams. future-oriented. interested in metaphysical factors. impersonal. objective. To be prepared for the future. Personal sacrifice. The unknown or unrecognized. My sensitivity. Metaphysical factors and me. - deluded. unstable. insecure. overly delicate. easily swayed. elusive. unreliable. vulnerable. needful of protection. weak. prone to feelings of inferiority. unrealistic. Inward confusion. Personal uncertainty or disillusionment. To refuse to accept something. To deny. To go astray. To be deluded. Deceit. Personal loss. Neptune square Ascendant AS.NE.* + sensitive. tender. empathic. intuitive. private; drawn to obscurities. mediumistic. interested in metaphysical factors. visionary. daydreams. elusive. imitative. socially withdrawn. future-oriented. progressive. Casual contacts. Futuristic environment. In the air or water. Immaterial phenomena. The future of a place. - touchy. secretive. deluded. uncertain. easily swayed. vulnerable. needful of protection. evasive. unrealistic. undependable. impersonal. self-disparaging. Secretive partner. Ambiguity in the environment. Others' uncertainty. Unrecognized or unknown person. Lax relationships. Disillusionment due to a partner. Loss of partnership. Rejection of the partner. Others' weakness.
