I was wondering: Are there any planetary aspects in the chart of a person who is very close to you (like: husband, girlfriend, roommate, buddy) that you really hate? I mean: Hate the aspect? (Not the person!) Some special aspect that seems sooooo obvious to you in the other person - and really gets on your nerves? Or even worse: Annoys you? Some specific aspect that seems soooo powerful and wicked to you that you cannot imagine how you ever could ignore it - or make peace with that special charactre trait in that other person? Some aspect in the other person's chart that maybe even ... scares you a bit?

From my personal experience, having gone through several love affairs and close friendships and all ... I have encountered many (!) "difficult to handle"-aspects in other people's charts, of course. ;-) Most of them seemed "reasonable" to me, after a while. Or: I thought I could work and live with these, somehow.

A natal aspect that REALLY annoys me though (and would set ALL my alarm clocks ringing, when I meet another person with that aspect), it is this: VENUS SQUARE JUPITER. Especially if one of these (Venus or Jupiter) is placed in the 1st house of a person. GOSH!!! It seems so "easy going" at first sight. But I cannot cope with the self-indulgence and super-egotism this brings!!! It also would make me very (!)suspicious. I do believe that VENUS SQUARE JUPITER is a great "spoiler" and sets off people to a course of selfishness, make them the opposite of trustworthy, always looking for personal gain and ... notoriously cheating! ;-) REALLY! Bad, bad, bad stuff! (In my experience). I'd rather have a boyfriend with Moon-square-Mars or so! ;-)

What are YOUR personal "be wary if you meet someone who has this"-aspects?

My boyfriend has Moon opposite Mercury and it makes him SUCH AN A*HOLE. Like, I just looked at his chart to see why he is like this and I noticed this (something I never really paid attention to) and the description of this fits him to a T.

You can be insensitive and offensive to others, unaware of a lack of tact, sensitivity, and diplomacy, although you are quick to rise to others who criticize you personally. Like everyone else, there are times (many, many times) when you will be 'wrong' in life, as no-one is infallible. You may need to learn how to admit mistakes, however.

Scorpio90: Ooops - I hope (and I sense) that you didn't take offense from my description. ;-) This is all a veeeeery subjective point of view, of course. And is meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Just let it all out, you all out there, haha. (I am oh so curious whether one of my own personal apsects will be mentioned in this thread. Because I surely got a few aspects that can drive other people nuts! I mean: I am aware of it;-) )

Venus square Neptune or what I like to call the "Unrealistic Movie Love Aspect."

Sakoian & Acker say that "escapist tendencies may cause the natives to live in a fantasy world in order to avoid the harsher realities of life...sometimes the natives are overly sensitive; their feelings are hurt too easily or without real cause. This aspect can also cause laziness and disorderly living habits...In some cases they are too idealistic, seeking relationships that are hardly possible."

Maybe a highly Neptunian/Piscean can live with this aspect, but I can't. It is impossible to truly please these people (my fiancee has this aspect, ex-fiancee?) because they expect the wholly idealized type of relationships that are found on film. When they do not get this type of relationship it's because you're not trying hard enough or giving enough support (even though you can be flipping over three ways from Sunday for them.) OY!

I don't have a permanent partner right now, but overall in the past I would have to say venus in hard aspect to uranus, especially conj. Uhh. Too cold and impersonal for me, comes off as so superficial and unfeeling, like they couldn't really care less if you stayed or went. 2nd venus in hard aspect to neptune. I've got this, need I say more?

And I have Venus conjunct Uranus, Scrappy! I know what you mean by cold, unfeeling, and don't care if you stay or leave. I look back when I was younger and my #1 defense for break-ups was "Fine, go, I don't care!"

I don't have a partner right now but to review over the past. I would say Sun opposition Moon because in the past I was not sure who I really was and people found that frustrating and on top of that I had a flippant personality.(Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon).

I was very caring and serving my partners and indulged in them (Virgo Sun) and then I was very detached, distant, and sensitive (Pisces Moon) because of this I don't see myself entering into any relationships until I get myself together.

i would have to say two aspects:
sun conjunct jupiter-overindulgent! too much!
AND
Venus square Pluto-sometimes comes off as creepy.

Lol I have both of these aspects and I couldn't agree more, I don't know about creepy but I come off too strong to people. Then again I am not too sure how strong they are because their in the 6 degree orb range.

I am still learning about orbs x.x;

venus square jupiter, everyone in my family has this. we all generous to a fault. its not necessarly bad. my brother is a bit selfish, but neither my dad nor i are . but we are pretty indulgent. i'm also not a cheater. and my dad is the most faithful/loyal person on the planet. (taurus sun and moon) .

Venus square Pluto in my ex's chart drove me nuts. It was like 'I love you, but I can't help it, I also want to really hurt you and keep hurting you'. I don't think everyone with this aspect is this way - but I think it can be really painful to have, and keep under control.

I have Jupiter square Venus and Mars, in a T-Square...have never cheated in my life....though I do tend to spoil rotten the person I am with and really indulge them. Generous to a fault, indeed, and a sucker for anyone in trouble (Jupiter square ascendant too)

Reading the responses so far, I felt the need to chime in. I was recently (just prior to that retrograde) dumped by someone I thought I loved very much. His placements? Venus square jupiter and opposite neptune. That same venus was also trined by pluto and sextiled mars so he had charm seeping from his pores.

Apparently, he falls in love at the drop of a hat and when things get too hard he will leave you for the next one and kindly lie about it.

I got pretty burned.

I like these respones, it's kind of guide of what not to do in love when you have these aspects.

So I know not to be to self-indulgent with my Sun in Jupiter in the 8th house, thats going to be tough lol.

With 8th house Venus square Pluto in the 10th house or 11th, don't come of as the scary psycho lover XD haha.

Anyways I am off for books and coffee with my Pisces friend.

Cheshire, you're ahead of the game, knowing this stuff...I'm sure the aspects just talk about potential, but aren't set in stone. An unaware Pluto square Venus is going to be less conscientious than one who's go their eyes open. Thank god we have options!
Have fun with Pisces

by the way, i think sun square pluto is REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hard to handle. especially in earth planets. they are controlling, manipulative and are really hard to be around 24/7 because they try to control EVERYTHING and get angry and annoyed with everything.

Lol, I want to know the downside of my aspects in a relationship because I can see the patterns of when I was too indulgent (the jupiter/venus conjuction in the 8th)..oh don't get me started on possesive oh my goodness I had meat hooks in my close friends but since I've had time to self reflect I've let go a bit. So keep them coming X3, I might I learn something and I really want to know how these aspects could effect my love life.

I better get going you guys just don't know how scary a Pisces Sun/Scorpio Moon/Aries Venus/Mars in Gem can be, it'll be piranha attack O_O!!!

venus opposition uranus, especially when the venus is in an air sign!

if the person is really flirty like how i have found this aspect to be, then it makes me wanna do the same back to them. which makes it worse, but can't help it.

interesting choice of aspects everyone!

i have half of them i think

the venus ones in particular -

venus square - uranus/neptune/saturn/jupiter, opposition moon.

no further comment.

Saturn square Moon.

they seem afraid to love/be loved..they reject it even when it's what they want the most.

i agree with this about Venus square Pluto..

quote:
It was like 'I love you, but I can't help it, I also want to really hurt you and keep hurting you'.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Saturn square Moon. That one sucks. Or even Saturn conjunct Moon. It's like they can't let go or talk about anything. I think the Mommy relationship was stifling or something.

Agreed with Mars oppose Neptune. Mars in Pisces in a guy too makes the alarm bells go off for me.

I have Saturn conj. Moon and you're right but it's not as extreme as the square ime. the person i know w/ that aspect (the square) has it within 1 deg. and he did have mommy issues..never knew/met his mother and never had a mother figure.
