i have 2, my so has 2

i don't really understand the importance of them and /or what they really mean in a chart

mine is

jup - sat- ur (gem - pisces - virgo)
jup - sat - pl (gem -pisces - virgo)

his is

sun - jup - ur (sag -pisces - virgo)
sun - jup - pl (sag - pisces - virgo)

are they important? the only thing i could find googling was something about the saturn point uhm, issues of controlling parent, type of thing.

anyone understand these?

t-squares add energy to a chart, the apex being the focal point and the opposite (empty) leg being a release point...sounds vague but i'm in a hurry, will come back. they tend to describe major issues in the life of native...

thanks kat, it also looks like when i look at them together my saturn opposes his t square, his sun opposes my t-square.i think then making them a grand cross in the synastry? doesn't sound very fun and exciting. interesting though.

A T-square is based on geometry and harmonics.

The lines of the 3 planets connected form an equilateral triangle meaning that all 3 sides of the triangle are the same size.

A t-square is 2 planets are in opposition, and they are in square by a 3rd planet

the 2 planets in opposition (180 degrees) are at odds with each other and they are in a balancing act, they can go back and forth in a teeter totter type way, but they also have to do with relating with others. the opposition corresponds with the Libra...they are in external conflict with each other

the 3rd planet is square (90 degrees) that opposition, so the 3rd planet is in friction with the 2 other planets. The 3rd planet is under great stress from the planets in opposition. The 3rd planet is in internal conflict with each other. The waxing square corresponds with Cancer, and the waning square corresponds with Capricorn. The 3rd planet is the apex of the t-square.

the opposition, the waxing square, and the waning square correspond with 3 of the cardinal signs of the zodiac. The cardinal signs have to do with action and initiation. That's how oppositions and squares are. They involve action and initiation. That's why cosmobiologists and uranian astrologers consider them event-oriented aspects along with the conjunction that corresponds with Aries which is a cardinal sign.

Therefore, the t-square is a configuration of action and initiation. It's full of energy and can push people to act and do things. T-squares are common in successful people.

A t-square is considered a 4th harmonic triangle. Opposition (2/4 of circle) and Square (1/4-waxing,3/4 - waning) are 4th harmonic aspects.

when t-squares are close in aspect, they have a corresponding midpoint pictures. The 3rd planet (the apex) is in opposition to the midpoint of the first 2 planets.

I can give you interpretations from Ruth Brummond's Rulebook in regards to 3 planetary configurations

these are just possible manifestations of these aspects. Not all nor most will apply.

SU.JU.UR.
+ keenly perceptive. intuitive. lively. brisk. future-oriented. resourceful. inventive. fair. quick to size up situations. original. interested in the unusual. unpredictable. eccentric. reformist. technically oriented. has rhythm. progressive.
Sudden good luck with or due to the husband. Sudden or unexpected benefits or income. Beneficial event with a person. Enjoyable events. Pleasant surprises. Unexpected justice. Surprise over the wealth of a man. Successful technician. Eventful day. Years of successful events. Survival instinct.

+ versatile. skilled at developing. capable of transforming. happy. lucky. positive in outlook. optimistic. likes change and diversity. just. fair. experienced at handling money. spontaneous.
Beneficial developments in relation to a man. Favorable change of physical conditions. Good luck due to readjustments. Profitable development. Increasing wealth. Pleasant transformation. To develop justice. Good physical development. Recovery. Healing. Good nutrient absorption. Days of favorable development. Years of financial changes.
- overly materialistic. careless. not always trustworthy. unsettled. vacillating. [sometimes financially exploitive.]
Excess weight.

with your t-squares being mutable, they have to do with learning and teaching as well as being changeable, adaptable, and versatile. They can be very restless.

I will give you more information on t-squares later from DYNAMICS OF ASPECT ANALYSIS by Bil Tierney.

I have t-squares myself Moon in Pisces square the opposition of Saturn in Gemini and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius.

I also have a Grand Cross with my partner, where two T-Squares interact.

It's an aspect of riding through many storms together.

I echo Blue Moon's sentiment - I see a lot of love between people with grand crosses. Not boring at all!

me too, you are both filling each other's release point, but the grand cross is a very stabilizing aspect, the biggest problem is maybe too much stability(stagnation/ inability to move out of a situation).

but with awareness i think you can work with it very well. the queen of england is a great example of the grand cross and ONE way that stability can manifest. and with mutable signs it should be pretty workable.

how cool that you seem to have this with both son and partner! as long as the love is there, the boxed-in quality is probably a great thing, like blue moon's.
