Well I assumed in previous posts that this solarr eturn chart would mean i would have a baby and get married. But some people think otherwise..What do you think it could mean? SR ascendant falls on my 5th house cusp..  ------------------

I figure this could be one of those posts that starts up the discussion.I am a rookie but I would definitely say that based on that solar return this could be the year you start a family. My rookie eye spots ruler of 5th in 5th trining moon that's (to my understanding) in natal 5h house along with NN Sun is conjuncting the DC so a significant partnership could be in sight. once again i'm just a rookie especially with SR but this will maybe motivate some other members to confirm deny or ridicule my observations  cheers E. ------------------

Well I am seeing someone but were on and off every week and im going overseas for a month on june the 7th and coming back 7th july 1 day before my birthday for my solar return...
When i come back from overseas im hoping i wouldve cut all ties with this guy and relationship that seems to be getting nowhere after 9 yrs.I thought i fell in love with him after he had an accident and we were really good but last night proved he was an ******* an nothings changed. ------------------

I think it is definitly a possibility because your SN north node is conjunct the moon and this conjunction and your SN ascendant falls in your fifth house natally.
I believe the birth of a baby ,usually of the first baby or that of a baby which has karmic connections with the mother is shown by the presence of solar returns' north node in the fifth or first house.You've had it in the fifth house this year right?IP: Logged |

Yes NN has been passing my 5th natal house.
NATAL+TRANSITS
*Chiron is trine my 5th house ruler saturn
*Neptune and jupiter is trine my 5th house saturn
*Saturn will conjunct my AC and bring responsibility (5th house again)
*Neptune is trine my moon
*Uranus is square my moon
*Jupiter is trine my moonAs neptune, jupiter and uranus aspect my natal moon they also trine my 5th house ruler and conjunct CERES
SOLAR RETURN
*SR ascendant in 5th (children)
*SR moon in 1st (maternal)
*SR 5th house ruler in 5th trine moon in 1st
*SR moon conjunct NN
*SR moon trine NATAL 5th house ruler SATURN
So you think I am seeing it how it is?
Or am i dellusional, seeing what i want to see?

NATAL-- neptune is the 7th house ruler and its trine saturn pluto and moon right now SOLAR RETURN-- SR 7th ruler the moon is in the first house making a nice aspect tt he 9th house saturn.
Sun is conjuct the 7th house as well... 7th ruler has come to ME (1st house) and conjunct NN Also in my natal chart aries is in my7th house and mars in the solar return chart is in 5th trine the moon and conjunct venus IP: Logged |

from what I read and observed in several charts, Solar Returns only show inner life, not actual events. what the owner feels, thinks abuout, is focused on - NOT what will happen to him/her.you can think about having a baby all you want - but if you don't have sex - nothing will happen. etc.
IF there's a relationship, and marriage is on your mind - you may take the relationship that way. BUT there's no way of telling what your partner will say, or if you'll have the money for a wedding, or etc etc. nothing in a Solar Chart says 'you will marry' - it just says 'this year, you may think about it'.
this is theory anyways. in your actual chart, Venus-Mars in your 5th speak more about being flirtatious, interested in romance and dating, and having fun. the Moon in your 1st says your emotions will be out, expressed, acted upon - but you also may be changeable as behavior, looks, initiative goes. your focus this year is on your job or work relatiionships (coleagues, actual work, your responsabilities at work) OR health OR pets OR diet. this is what you're most interested in, focused on, thiking about (Sun and Mercury in 6th; another thing that says you're not interested in getting married). changes in your environment - siblings, neighbors, short travels - or lots of changing your mindset, or the way you communicate. something spiritual or just lucky about earning money. studies or long jouneys or publishing or foreign rel will be difficult for you; they'll require inner discipline or hardwork, or you'll simply resent them. some inner transformation will take place without you knowing. Getting married shows up in trasnits and Solar Arcs -but again - plz consider the actual situation. nothing will happen if you don't play the part (in order to win the lottery you must buy a ticket) IP: Logged |

Well i want to get married and i want to have a baby and i want to be happy i want to be with the right person and i want to start on working on my future. thats what i feel now. I dont know why saturns up in 9th because i will travel the world this year. I dont care about work and i might get paid out from work i have a 1.1 million dol law suite against the bank i work for. i want this to be a good year. ------------------

I believe that Solar Return can show actual events. The New Solar Return Book Of Prediction by Ray Merriman is a book about the use of Solar Return for predicting events. http://www.amazon.com/Solar-Return-Book-Prediction-re vised/dp/093070634X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239473077&sr=8-1 It's not like the Planets In Return book by that is more about psychological astrology
by Mary Fortier Shea. I am actually disappointed with that book because it didn't even go through the different aspects between planets. She also didn't include aspects to the angles which are highly important. At least John Townley does that in his Lunar Returns book which I also have.
I think that there is a division in this forum. There seems to be a good amount of people that believe in predictive,event-oriented Astrology, and a good amount of people that believe in psychological,humanistic Astrology. I admit that I am the latter,but I am also into the former.
I want to point that both approaches have insights and can be quite accurate.
I purchased Ray Merriman's Solar Return report. He looks at solstice points in Solar Return. He looks at both solar return and natal planets/angles in aspect to the solar return angles. http://www.cafeastrology.com/samplemerrimansolarreturnreport.html
I believe that both lunar return and solar return are great forecasting tools if used properly. I believe that they can be used in both an event-oriented way and humanistic,psychological way. I don't see why it has to be either one or the other.

So i dont understand does that mean my solar return chart is showing what i want to happen or what will happen?
I want all those things to happen and i am working on it and allowing it to happen. But if its not meant to be i cant force it to happen. In previous years my solar return charts have shown life events that have happened.
And.. if theyre not accurate why would people advise to relocate for your birthday? ------------------

Raymond, I don't know that Ray Merriman; dunno how he comes to conclusions. I just know me. I've looked at Solar Returns for many people. It's just not there. Of course there will be events that happen. For instance - I've noticed that Venus in a certain house may show that relationships or possible love-interest come in that area of life (6th hs Venus meets people at work). But there needs to be more of a corroboration of factors. For instance: it's fair to say that people who get married have marriage in mind - that year. Some people have surprise pregnancies, but so many plan to have a kid - so it's safe to say that someone like that would be planning, or wishing or focusing on this. BUT all these things alone will not do. Would be interested in a brief presentation of what that book can do. why don't you interpret this chart according to that book? I'm always glad to learn something new.
I'd put my own Solar Return if I knew how. I'd LOVE to have one way of clearly predicting events. For all I know, that's called transits, and S.A.

Well i did back up my information with transits. i didnt go just by the solar return chart. I have seen in alot of charts especially my friends have all had moon in 1st in their SR chart when they have a baby..------------------

I've heard of this - there was a post here. I checked like 7 charts I have, friends, and my own mom - nobody had Moon in the 1st, or 5th in the year they had a baby, or the year before, or the year after. I know it's a small sample, BUT if it's to be a rule, it should be like over 90% right on. so I was either very unlucky or... the next 90 charts I check should have Moon in the 1st the year they had a baby.  hey! I'm sure that if you want it you'll get there becoming a mom is different for each of us. IP: Logged |
