I don't know if anyone has ever had this happen to them but this is the second time I have personally seen this happen.
A friend of mine broke up with her boyfriend of 3 years and many months later saw him with his new girlfriend. My friend was freaking out because the new girlfriend looked scarily like her almost like a twin. So I asked my friend to try to get her birthday..I wanted to do some astrological research on that. So my friend went digging on facebook and came up with her birthday. They actually were twins! I did her chart only to find that they had all five personal planets the same and very close outer planets (they were born a year and a bit apart).
Now the same scenario has happened to me. My ex of 6 years who I am still friends with has a new girlfriend. He kept telling me that she reminds him so much of me and that she is a scorpio too. So finally I asked what her birthday was only to find out we have the same sun, moon, mars placements and our mercury and venus signs are the same signs.. only reversed (my mercury in libra- her venus in libra.. my venus is scorpio and her mercury in scorpio).
Are these guys consciously trying to replace us by clones? Or are astrological influences pulling these similar people together? And another thing I am curious to see and find out would be if these parallel relationships will go through the same themes, issues and outcomes.. If it didnt work the first time around, could it work the 2nd?
I would assume the same problems that couldnt be fixed between two people with those specific emotional, physical and mental placements wouldnt be able to be fixed here either.
Or maybe different external social and/or environmental factors could change our innate reactions and therefore change the outcome of the relationship.
And this brings up an interesting question as to how alike we are to our "astro twins".

Sounds like an astrological conspiracy to me.

I've yet to see an ex with anyone even remotely like me (even physically). I think they learn their lesson ... most times they end up with someone so different, it's like whaaaaat?

But I would get pretty ticked off too if I saw an ex with another version of me, so I can't imagine this is easy for you or your friend, or anyone who has to go through this.

I believe such people are attracted toward a certain type, it's like a 'karmic' imprint on their minds so I guess it is all about them, not the girls they seem to be trying to replace ... I have met such people too I even asked one why all his girlfriends look alike, he just said: "I don't know, I like the way they look"

i've noticed the astro similarities too...having the different planets but at the same sign...same degrees
i went thru a phase of everyone else i was in contact with having something between 2-5 degrees cancer at one point which is around my south node
my partners old ex has her venus con my sun and her mars con my moon

my grandfather's first wife (my maternal grandmother) had Ascendant in Taurus,Moon in Virgo,and Mars in Aries. He was briefly together with her for no more than a year..maybe not even half a year. He was in marines and was in Korea when my mom was born.

his 2nd wife, who he was married for 40 years and mother of his 4 other children,had Sun in Virgo, Moon in Taurus, and Mars in Aries. She is 7 years younger than my grandmother.

I mean we've seen it with ourselves when we make those "what's your pattern?" posts. It has everything to do with astrology.

My friend's step father's first wife has the same birthday as my friend's mom (his second wife).

i think it shows lack of progression...leaving the frying pan for the fire, whatever...though i have had several flings and one marriage with cancers, not one of my "serious" relationships has resembled another astrologically or in any other way except they tend to be creative. though i do tend to like cardinal sign suns according to my statistics...

I don't see a pattern in my relationships. There was first a Gemini, then Aquarius, then a Taruas/Libra Moon, and then my Capricorn/Scorpio moon friend. I think I was so busy dening my sexual orientation to fit into my highly religious family that my dating patterns are or were erratic and not important. Also none of them are dating anyone born near by Birthday or in August for that matter..atleast not that I know of.

Only common theme with me is Scorpio Moon and Pisces.

SO true that both guys had heavy taurus influence. Sun and venus..both of them.
Do taureans repeat there mistakes over and over? Is that a fixed sign quality or a bull quality?
And its true katatonic, I agree with the lack of progression. I know for a fact that my ex has not progressed emotionally or spiritually and has several emotional problems which are eased by different addictions which are proven to stunt growth in a person.
But at the same time, we have our patterns and our types and astrological influences that kind of dictate what attracts us to a person.
So I don't know maybe its written in the stars for us to make the same mistakes over and over.. to learn some sort of lesson from our past lives that went unresolved/unlearned.

Wow I was just reading what Katatonic said and maybe this is my thing too, another similarity. Aside from bfs that I loved between 16-18, from 18-22 I lived with an Aries(a fiance), then from 22-36 I lived with a Cancer(married actually), then in 2005 I was involved for a few months with a Capricorn. omgaddd, lol, I must be into Cardinal signs too! Trouble is I wouldn't revisit any of them, sorry...and I have absolutely no understanding of a Libran. I'll be wary now though
