I definitely see lawyer material in your chart. Maybe you could be a government or corp. lawyer. I think anything to do with law is something you should get into. Your 6th house ruled by neptune, which is in Capricorn conj the IC, makes me think your job would be secret in some way, hidden from the public eye, also isolated jobs. Capricorn on the ruler, something very serious a lot of of work, with lots of writing. Hidden communication conj the IC, could point to doing a lot of your work at home and/or with relatives.(is your dad a lawyer?) I think this mixes well with the neptune theme and shows you working on detailed work at home, that is very serious.
Again, with your MC in cancer(home), the home theme is again strongly shown. Whatever you end up doing, youre going to be doing mostly from your house. Again, ruler in the 3rd(theres a double whammy with the rulers), so a lot of your work will be done thru computers.
I think law because of the stellium in the 9th which rules law. Sun is the focus of your life, and your focus is education, travel, law, etc.
I think you'd only be happy with a job that made lots of money, and gave you status in some way. Being a lawyer might be unhappy for some people, but I dont think that would be the case for you by the looks of your chart.

Hi Kismet:I think you probably answered your own question. Going with your instinct is rarely a bad idea. Whatever you choose however, you should be quite prominent in your field. Your Sun in Cancer being so close to your midheaven (public life/career) will make you stand out from the crowd. Cancer is also in Trine or at ease with powerful Pluto in your house of finances. Pluto in such good apsect to your Sun will also likely give you an air of authority. I can see why you'd be attracted to becoming a Lawyer though, with your Mercury (intellect) squaring Mars (force/aggression), indicates that you enjoy a good debate. Also Mars sextile Jupiter (optimism/luck) should give you a good deal of self confidence (which every good lawyer needs). *Libra also rising - strong sense of justice* That being said (also with my limited time) seems like your heart is telling you to go with an emotionally satisfying job, over an intellectually satisfying position. Again I would say that your Cancer midheaven (Cancer ruling emotions) wants to lead the way. A C.I.A. Psychologist could offer you excitement, along with detailed investigative duties, profiling etc. All the intellectual stimulation you'd need, coupled with the emotional satisfaction of knowing you're helping the U.S. stay safe. Cancer (water sign) can sniff out people like a bloodhound, Mars in the human lie detector sign of Pisces (water sign), with Pluto in Scorpio - ability of incredible depth (water once again). People with prominent water signs, understand emotions, they often go by gut reactions, can readily see what makes a person tick. Some can size up a person instantly. Now back all of that up with proper training and you'd have one well tuned, very proficient Analyst. Other Astrolgers here may have varying opinions as to what *may* suit you best career wise, but for you I think your emotional well being needs to be fed first and foremost. Real estate and domestic related occupations are also options with a Cancer midheaven.
