My cancer relative is always crying randomly. She drives me nuts because it feels like she tries to get out of things by crying, manipulates everyone with her BS drama.

Hmmm, I would say it's the Cancer Mars/Mercury mixed with the Leo Moon that would do it in your friend's case, Write.

I personally go through phases of being more or less of a crier. It usually depends on who I'm close to at the time.

I have a Cancer Sun and Venus, a Taurus Moon, Mercury in Gemini and Mars is in Leo so my crying can be very dramatic and expressive if I really feel comfortable with a person. Otherwise I push it down until I'm alone.

LOL Writes. All my Cancer girlfrieds were always big time criers. I'm sure not all Cancers are this way, but the ones I've known closely would start the waterworks on cue and always got their way.

I think in general the moon's placement though can say something about criers maybe. Like moon in the 1st house or even conjunct ascendant.

I've noticed Mercury in water signs can sometimes sound really emotional at times and on the verge of tears, especially in the first house. If it conjuncts the Sun or ascendant it might make a crier too.

I have noticed this with Cancer friends male and female.. and a close relative even though she does not actually cry the way she expresses herself she sounds like she is or about to its so funny to hear sometimes only sometimes lol. Shes Cancer Sun/Mercury (Virgo AC) and teamed with Leo Moon/Mars just adds to that expressive trait of hers.

leo can have a big sense for dramatic crying. and really when they put on a show , they go all out. nothing even compares to the outbursts and the effect.

my double cappy grandma is a sucker for pathetic so she cries alot too. when people on tv cry, when she's trying to manipulate... when people on tv are cheating on each other...

so i guess it would all depend upon what is their motivation to cry

It's funny how people say that Cancerians cry to manipulate or get their way. I cry because that's what I am feeling although I can only speak for myself.

I've heard men say that about women in general and again, I can't relate to that. If I was trying to get my own way, one of the last techniques I would use is crying.

i cry when i am happy, or my kids do something awesome, i cry when someone plays a most beautiful peice of piano music, i cry when i get mad, i cry sometimes just looking at my grandson. i guess i cry a lil bit about every week, something will bring a tear to my eye.

sometimes if my feelings get hurt my eyes just water and i am not really crying but my eyes don't stop watering.

She cries when you ring her, she cries at the pub... she cries everywhere and all the time.

i get a tear in my eye mostly because i am happy or something touches me. i am very private in life so i would never let a freind know if i was upset much about stuff. girlfriends that can't get over thier drama and ever seem to get past it...well it gets old. i'm not down with that. if they are miserable and love being miserable i can't deal with it after awhile. if your unhappy, do what it takes to get happy. some people do love to be miserable. a cap i know, a sag i know, wish i knew her other placements and some cancers, and one pisces,only seem happy when they are miserable, life is too short to be miserable.

I cry for no reason sometimes, and out of the blue. Sometimes I cry because I feel sorry for an abandoned car on the side of the road.
I feel bad for inanimate objects at times. They're so USED.

I'm a cancer sun/virgo moon and I'm not a big crier at all. Neither are any of the rest that I know of besides maybe my youngest sister...

Even when I have a biggest urge to cry, I usually wait until I'm alone.

Cancer. Esp. Cancer moon--lots of my friends have Cancer moons just like I do and when we're sad we get weepy.

I made a Scorpio man cry recently. It was the most horrible feeling.

Yeah, Im a cap rising. I think it mellows me out...a little bit. People down here still think I'm a bit neurotic. Could be the mercurial influence or just another regionalism. O__o

I cry all the time, but usually over valid personal struggles, frustration, or if I see or hear something that strikes something that pulls on my heart strings, I am so sentimental it even gets on my nerves!

Aries sun (sheep type, sensitive)
Cancer moon (sentimental)
Taurus venus (I will cry until there is a flood for the one I am in love with)
Saturn in the 4th house (what a struggle)
