What are the mercury signs and aspects of people you found to be extremely honest and blunt? I dont think jupiter is always the culprit...jupiter I think humor.My close friend has:
Mercury cancer.
Mercury conj mars.
Mercury trine Pluto.
Mercury opposite Neptune.
Pluto in the 3rd.
Scorpio on the 3rd house cusp. I find her to be brutally honest about things despite the neptune aspect. She doesnt sugarcoat anything. IP: Logged |

Haha, I am kind of being sarcastic. But I do consider myself to be pretty honest still. A little blunt sometimes. I tell little white lies for ***** and giggles. Sometimes I am a bad liar, I laugh a lot when I do. Mercury sag. 0.17 degrees
Mercury Sextile asc (according to astro dienst, but how is that possible if my asc is CAP, 26.59 degrees?)
(No other Merc aspects)

Mercury and Mars can do this to a person, but add it up to the entire chart. Mine is part of a T-Square involving the Ascendant, NN and Venus. Jupiter? First house with Neptune. Quite often I sit and think that life is too short to not take the opportunity to tell someone what you really think. As I've got older I've managed to use more tact and pick my moments better. I tend to sugar coat things. My Mercury is retrograde in Aquarius in the 9th, sextile Uranus and Saturn & Mars, trine Moon & ASC, sextile Jupiter.My Libra Moon does not like confrontation. I think for one to be brutally honest they have to not care about the social consequences of their words. IP: Logged |

My dad is brutally honest, he has a Libra Sun/Taurus Moon, I'll have to check where his mercury is later.Anyways he is the most blunt person in my life he had no qualms telling my Cancer sister she was fat after she gave birth to three kids or that I am a "failure" when I don't do things right the first time. There are other things but sometimes I think his blunt honesty..is arseholic.. His favorite phrase is "I call it like I see it"..and he really does to..my ******* Gawd he really does.. IP: Logged |

Two people who I would consider very honest have their Mercury in Sagg and in Taurus.The one who has it in Sagg also has it conjunct Neptune so I think there were times when he was dishonest mainly because he was having a hard time being honest with himself. But I always felt that he was giving me the most truthful answer he had. His other placements are: Mercury (9th House):
Quintile Moon
Sextile venus
Semi-Sextile Jupiter
Semi-Square Uranus
Sextile Pluto
Square Ascendant My current boyfriend is the someone else who I consider to be a very honest person. His Mercury is in Taurus, exactly conjunct Jupiter. His other placements are: Mercury (4th House):

Square Saturn (loosely)
Opposite Uranus
Conjunct Chiron

I read Love's post about sag merc in aspect with Neptune.I am confused. I have Sag in Mercury 0.17 degrees
I have Sag in Neptune 29.32 degrees Would that not be a sextile or some kind of aspect? It isn't mentioned on astrodienst. IP: Logged |

Thats me. Not too blunt, just not very candid.Aries rules 3rd, with Mars conjunct Uranus.

I'm very blunt and honest person sometimes my friends will ask me a question/opinion on something and when i give them an answer they don't expect..i just say well if you do not want to hear the truth don't ask any questions, simple. To a degree i am sensitive but if i can't say how it is i rather not speak at all because i don't want to lie and you do have to when and when not to speak. I have always had this trait but in the last year or so it has intensified. I also cannot stand people who expect me to sugar coat things and if i suspect YOU are sugar coating that gets me kinda upset because its just ungenuine to me. Mercury Square Jupiter is an interesting one. The one in my house seems to need to fill the air. Just like the imagery suggests. But sometimes the thing to say is nothing.

i USED TO BE incredibly tactlessly blunt. if i had to tell, i told without any hesitation the plain truth and truth only... and believed that it makes everything simple in life...but i learned my lessons and now i understand that people often times don't want to hear the truth and it made my life complicated. though i still don't understand why they prefer to get hurt (if the subject is potentially a hurtful truth to them, that is) doubly and triply through the discovering of lies than just instantly be done with knowing the truth... i still don't sugar-coat things, but i learned to shut my mouth when need be. it's made my life much simpler... but i still prefer people be honest with me than telling me what they think i want to hear. or whatever. i have...
Mercury in Capricorn in the Jupiter ruled 1st house, opposing Jupiter in the 7th. trine Chiron in the 5th, and widely conjunct Sun by 6.5 degrees. i guess 1st house Mercury opposistion chart ruler Jupiter says it all? IP: Logged |

Strong Mercury/Mars or Mercury/Jupiter aspects

I have Mercury in Aries/8th house conjunct Venus and Moon. It's hard for me to lie, and I'm often honest, but I'd avoid telling the truth in a direct way if it hurts the other person. >_<IP: Logged |

Saturn is the honest one, he's blunt and not codependent at all. That's why he rules the "cold, hard, truth."Jupiter is a philosopher who wants to identity "the truth" in a philosophical manner. My take on this in general would be:A blunt and straight-forward person, he tells it like it is but never mean to hurt anyone, he is just very honest - not rude:
- Sun/Mercury/Mars in Taurus, Venus in Gemini. A blunt person who sometimes just do it to provoke people, and is also sometimes intentionally hurtful:
- ASC in Sagittarius, Moon in Aries, Venus in Aquarius. Mercury Square Pluto/Saturn. In general, people who I think tend to be blunt has Aries, Taurus, Sagittarius or Aquarius in them (or an irritated Scorpio  ). I think Aquas (with some fire in them) can be blunt just because they don't seem to understand what impact their comments can have on peoples feelings. I've experienced at least 3-4 Aquas with a tendency to say blunt things in a cold detached way, but they don't even realize it unless you tell them  IP: Logged |

i can identify with having learned that the "plain truth" is often unacceptable. with merc in virgo conj saturn i also agree with geocosmic!! but i HAVE learned to speak the truth with a little tact (sometimes at least!) over the years.i find merc in sag blunt to the point of rude (or crude) and frequently for the sake of being "right"...merc in cap, hard to fool but whether they out and say it probably depends on other factors. of course many of them are aqua or sag suns so out it comes!! and that's the other one - aqua sun, prodded by saturn AND jupiter, has a hard time filtering their truths for the general public! I have a Taurus Mercury Opposite My Moon,I think Mercury in Aries, or any mercury aspected to Mars would make someone blunt.
Cancer is on the 3rd house cusp and I have a Scorpio Moon opposite my Sun. I am blunt at times but it comes from wanting the absolute truth. I don't like to sugarcoat anything but I am pretty tactful at the same time. added*
