I identify with my Draconic placements much more than with the Tropical!! It just makes so much more sense! I dont know how to explain it ... does anyone else find their Draco chart more 'accurate' too?

Yes. I feel my Draconic chart is very accurate and also my family members as well. I always thought my nephew was an aquarius rising, but in the tropical he is a pisces rising. But a ha in the Draconic he is an aquarius rising. So is my sister. It is amazing that his rising sign is 0.27 aquarius and his mom is 0.20 aquarius rising in the draconic. I have draconic chiron conjunct her ascendant and I was the one who she confided in a lot through her painful divorce. I really look at the Draconic chart a lot. I wish I could find more info on it though.

I noticed this aspect too! I mean Draco ASC conj Tropical ASC by degree in synastries of lovers or close relatives.

some info I found:

I've just checked D & T synastry:

Venus is conjunct ASC (wide orb of 4.5*) and,
Juno conjunct Mars 2*

....just at a quick glance. It's worth looking into D/D and D/T natal and synastry.

It makes so much more sense to me too.

I think Draco/Tropical synastry is better than just normal synastry.

It is important in synastry analysis I think.

But as natal chart,I dont know what to say..
I have 5 planets in libra and Im soooo libra but uranus conjuncts my sun, mars and venus in tropical. In draconic I have 5 planets in aquarius.still uranus energy..

my natal scorpio mercury is also in aquarius but my natal libra pluto is in capricorn..
my favorite natal moon in sagittarius become an aries moon..but again I have sun conjunct mars natally.I have leo asc and draco asc is sagittarius and I have moon in sag...

so similar energies..I dont perceive the differences really.

I was just wondering about the same thing earlier today. Interesting. It's like it's some kind of confirmation. Thanks.

There is an asteroid "Drakonia" - 620. I don't know how it could relate, but thought I should mention it.

My draconic placements seem to emphasize tropical aspects.

For example:

in tropical I have Mars conjunct my ASC and NN - in Draco my Sun, Mercury and Venus are in Aries.

in tropical I have Neptune conjunct my ASC and NN - in Draco my Mars, Neptune and ASC are in Pisces.

Et voila!

speaking of synastry, often I can feel Draco-tropical comparative aspects vibrate within me.
It sounds weird, but they just feel RIGHT; almost like something inside me answers to them, much stronger than to tropical aspects alone.

yes exactly DD, well put!

I have this too. My draconic synastry is very plutonian which reflects exactly how we are when we fuse.

my theory is a bit different, i think to look at a synastry, you should compare the two charts by the nodes, regardless of the signs.

what i mean is this: let say your north node is 10 gemini, then you need to bring the other person north node to this position, but the degree doesn't matter, only the fact that now the two node are conjunct. and now you can see the links between charts.

exemple fictif:

sun A 8 libra / sun B 18 cancer

north node A 10 virgo / north node B 20 gemini

the differrence between the nodes is 80 degrees, so you apply this orb between all the planets of the two charts and you get an amazing synastry... or not.

i checked with my mum whom i love dearly and our synastry made this way is amazing.

i could be wrong though.

my 2 cents

My draconic chart would be Scorpio Sun/Gemini Moon/ Pisces Rising/Sag Mars/Scorpio Venus, Mercury, Jupiter/ Saturn Aries

I've read my dracronic chart like a natal and it makes sense but it's like the house in my "actual" natal, 8th house stellium(Sun, Merc., Venus, Jupiter) and My Moon is in Pisces in the 3rd house (Gemini Moon/Pisces Rising). Saturn is in the 1st house can seem like Saturn in Aries but it's still interesting.

DD and Izo threads definitely got me to play around with them. I started doing Draconic charts on every thing and everyone in my astro files. They are really interesting. The first thing I noticed about mine is that it features a similar dynamic (and aspects, placements) to the tropical composite, and the tropical Davison with one instance, and then quite a few others when I pursued it.
Started using Drakonia about 4 years ago because this guy I was into does the Darkon engagements. A large group of people that do live RPG on softball fields and the like, around the area. They have mega rules, characters, countries etc...anyway oddly that 620 seemed to be significant in the charts.
They are endlessly fascinating to me, and I love that so many people post their own research to learn from.

I think you meant DD and Diandra. I've tried to maintain a low profile in these topics, so I haven't really made any worthy contributions. But thanks for mentioning me though!

Izo?it is awesome to see you posting again, how are you??

you´re eright hihihih Me and DD are the Draco Crazy Ones ...

i also feel identified with my Draco Chart-gives me Pices Moon and Cancer ASC.Sun and Venus in Gem: im very very sensitive and i place a lot of value in my family, surroundings and im very indecisive.I cultivate my Spirit in detriment of the rest sometimes..im very idealistic and dreamy.

not at all like my Virgo trop. Sun ..

Thanks for that link Happy D.

I am looking at this again.

Draconic Uranus conjunct Sun exact
Draconic Pluto conjunct Mercury exact

Do I relate with my Draconic chart more than my natal?

Pisces Sun, Jupiter and Mercury
Leo Rising and Saturn
Sag Moon and Pluto
Aqua Mars, Neptune, and Venus
Capricorn Uranus

I can see all of these in some way. It is very interesting to go from a three earth planet chart to an earth singleton chart.

Draco Chart HAS to be phenomenally accurate as it is:
a) Chart of your Soul
b) Corollary from a=> Chart of your cumulative Past Life experiences
c) As per Vedic Astrology's description of North Node, Draconic is the chart of your inner desires that have necessiated a rebirth. Eastern Religions clearly explain that worldy desires, good or bad, always cause a rebirth on Earth.

Robert Blaschke is a foremost authority on integrating Draco, Sidereal, Heliocentric and Tropical Charts.

My own experience shows that the Tropical rules objective psychological thinking/character; Sidereal rules the Physical Body and Predictive Timing; Heliocentric affects our Higher Level thinking [subtly] and Draconic Chart rules "unconscious" behaviour.

I believe this integration is the key to astrological salvation, which is the ability to totally rise above your chart and live a life based on the positive side Law of Attraction and a deep connection to our Higher Self.

I also find that looking at the draconic composite is really very enlightening as well. Sometimes the aspects can make more sense of the underlying themes of a relationship.

IQ,

but what about those people who do not identify with their Draconic chart at all?
Is it still valid for them?
Just operating on a very subtle or subconscious level?

It`s still difficult to interprete it in the natal I think.
Does that have to do with inner urges, motivations, needs that drive us act in a way that is expressed through our tropical?

Example:
If my Draco Venus is in Aries and my tropical Venus is in Capricorn - does that mean that I have that subconscious drive towards plunging into loverelationships or romance and a lot of passion, but it is filtered through my Capricornian tropical Venus?
So, there would be that passion and enthusiasm and impulsivity lying underneath, but it is expressed in a more controlled manner?
Maybe because I have experienced in a past life that excessive impulsive behaviour would lead to trouble?
