Astrologers everywhere seem to be warning people of being wary when traveling around and not to apply for jobs during mercury’s retrograde. I don’t think this is helpful in light of the current economic situation especially when many people do not experience any difficulties whatsoever during MR. There are currently millions of jobs advertised on the internet worldwide with millions of people applying to them, are you telling me those millions of people are going to run into problems at some point during the application process or if they end up getting the job? The astrologers would certainly have us believe so. But in these times many people simply can’t wait for June to arrive before they start applying for jobs, not when they have families to feed. I wish some astrologers on TV and in print would just be a bit more considerate of our times when dispensing advice.

What do you think?

Thanks

Miss Mystic

Agreed. They always go on about Mercury retro and most times, it wont make the slightest bit of difference.

I think that it depends on what it's doing in the chart like the house placement and aspects.

for instance, transiting retrograde Mercury is in my 9th house
trining my Pluto in Libra in 1st - I wrote a controversial post called "The Discovery of the Illusive Planet,Pluto" which was about how Pluto was discovered when it was retrograde during Sun-Neptune opposition/contrarallel which could indicate the deception of the time that Pluto was discovered when we thought it was a planet, and it now turns out to be one of thousands of kuiper belt objects. I raised the possibility that some of Pluto's stuff could be Eris' stuff (the lunar nodes were stationary and right on the heliocentric Eris Nodes during the discovery, but Eris wasn't discovered until over 70 years after Pluto was discovered), Ceres' stuff (Sun was squaring the geocentric Ceres Nodes and Earth was sextile Ceres during the discovery), even the stuff of the plutinos that orbit like Pluto (Mercury oppose Orcus and Mars trine Ixion...Orcus and Ixion weren't discovered until over 70 years after Pluto was discovered)

I think that a lot of astrology is outdated.

or you can say that mainstream Western Astrology is like the Vedic Astrology today. For instance, Vedic Astrology doesn't use the outer planets like most western astrologers do.

I believe that the discovery of Eris will be a herald of 21st Century Astrology.

My mind is open. The annoyance of Magi and whoever else doesnt help, but we will get there in the end, if not already there now.

I agree. There are so many posts in various astrology communities with people asking "OMG MERCURY IS RETROGRADING I DONT THINK I SHOULD APPLY FOR THIS JOB." Firstly, it's dumb to even not apply because the worst that can happen is you won't get the job but you'll be back where you started anyway. Secondly, the effects of Mercury retrograde are dubious and vary from chart to chart. For instance, I have it natally I don't feel any different during retrogrades.

I never listen to this kind of stuff, I bought a new car two years ago, during a MercuryRx and 3 days later they called me bc they found a better deal with a lower payment. And I have not had any problems since. You believe in certain things you will get exactly what you believe in.

As far a job whats for you, is for you and you will get it. If you don't get it it wasn't for you or you were not ready in the first place..Everything I get I feel its bc I am ready for it and can handle it, if not then I need to do more work..

My Mercury is retrograde by secondary progression in 27'31 Sagittarius in my 4th, and transiting Uranus in 25'39 Pisces in my 7th is squaring it.

I guess that means "off the wall" thinking, communications. It could fit with my astrological posts that aren't of the astrological mainstream.

I also see it as changing my thinking which can be a good thing......like I am reading Eckhart Tolle, and I am learning more about the importance of detachment....in regards not identifying with my ego. I am very interested in helping me with relationships.
