I saw Arnold's biography on the History channel and was struck by this - when he left for the U.S. he had 3 goals - be the most successful body builder, be a hollywood star ..... and ?
Marry a Kennedy.
Okay, now THAT is a teeny weent toooooo much to comprehend or what ?
so i looked at their basic synastry Arnold's Sun Conjunct Maria's Moon
Now thats a major marker ! Maria's Moon Conjunct Arnold's Saturn Maria's Moon Conjunct Arnold's Pluto Arnold,s Venus Conjunct Maria's Uranus And a Venus conjunct pluto !!!! I havent checked the asteroids but heres a fated couple for one

Yes, I read that quote,t oo, and boy WHAT a synastry! Phew. It also strengthens my feeling that we underestimate the strength of the Moon a bit, when it comes to synastry. BTW did you see IQ`s new "soulmate-calculator"? Did you try it out? IP: Logged |

I don't believe his goal was to marry a Kennedy.Arnold is very well known for being one of the greatest self-promoters in the entertainment industry, ever since the 70's and he's been very open about it. I believe he's incredibly ambitious and was incredibly famous for being good looking and sexy even before his movie career began. He could have almost any woman he wanted and Maria was no slouch back in the day. She was a stunning beauty and still is today. And don't get me wrong, I'm actually an Arnold fan, I'm even a fan of his b.s. because it's so fun. IP: Logged |

geo are you saying he might have used hindsight to set down those goals? wouldn't put it past him, though he has been talking about his goal setting-and-achieving abilities for yonks...but if i were maria i'd be a little insulted by the "A kennedy" thing...kind of like linda eastman who vowed to marry a beatle - even though john was first on her list, she did fulfill that..and i know she had set that goal before she ever met them! if i were paul i think that would smart a little!! I always thought Moon was actually the most important planet in synastry...even more so than Sun. I do prefer compatible moons to compatible suns.......especially with my moon being apex of a t-square. I do notice not much focus is on moon in synastry on this forum, but that's okay. We all have our own views on things. I noticed that Arnold's Moon in 3'31 Capricorn is trine his Ceres in 5'18 Taurus which can indicate that emotional nature and nurturing nature are in harmony. With Maria's Sun conjunct Arnold's Moon, it trines his Ceres which indicates that he can nurture her self expression in a practical way. Ceres has a practical way of nurturing compared to the moon that has a more emotional way of nurturing. I think Ceres is underrated in synastry...especially with it being dwarf planet like Pluto which is given so much emphasis in synastry. I feel that hard aspects in Ceres can indicate differences in the concepts of nurturing and even mother issues....especially if it's involved in a t-square. I was also suspicious about Maria's Uranus being conjunct Arnold's Venus. The relationship is not unstable imho. Their marriage seems to be secure and stable. They are married longer than a lot of other celebrity couples.
Therefore, I checked to see if Uranus is beyond the 2 degree orb that I use for synastry. I use considerably smaller orbs for outerplanets in synastry because they are generational. Arnold's Venus is in 26'22 Cancer Maria's Uranus is in 1'21 Leo Retrograde
that's a conjunction of 5 degree orb which is 3 degrees past the orb that I use. Therefore, I wouldn't count that as a conjunction. It probably would have effect in that it could indicate a little bit of stimulation, excitement, but no way near the amount of a Venus conjunct Uranus with 2 degree orb or narrower. Raymond

Yes, I also think that Moon is terribly underrated in synastry. Actually I have never seen a relationship work out without Moon aspects, whereas a lack of Sun-aspects doesn`t seem to be equally bad. I also agree on the orb. 5 degree is too wide for an Uranus-conjunction. Well I tend to stick to a general 3 degree orb, but feel that wider orbs can be applied to the personal planets, but not Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. It actually looks like a good connection to have. Sun-Moon-conjunction trining Ceres, seems to explain that they really care. Well, not so surprising, giving the length of their marriage. IP: Logged |

No, i have been too busy, i even want to check asteroids yet. Geo quote: I don't believe his goal was to marry a Kennedy.
Well, in the interview he actually ran them off on his fingers and said the " Marry a Kennedy " himself.
