can houses effect the 'style' of planets and vice versa?for example, if you have mars in the second house, does that make your mars a bit taurean? or slightly taurus mars? and the other way around of this question is - if you have say pluto in the 4th, can this make your moon planet kind of scorpio? at core my question is - how far does the influences go with these houses? The houses are the way the planets play out in a chart. I have Pluto in the first house so this makes my appearance a little mysterous because Pluto rules scorpio. Mars in the second house makes you aggressive/forward when it comes to your finances. IP: Logged |

Mars in the 2nd can also indicate a spendthrift.....A way to remember influences is: The Planets are "What" The Signs are "How" The Houses are "Where" IP: Logged |

The houses show where the specific energy of the planets is manifested, but they can also shape the expression of that planet. They usually define each other. For example the Moon in the 3rd house. The Moon is linked to the emotional nature of the person, the background and emotional impulses while the 3rd house rules communication. So the nature of the Moon would be shaped in the sense that the person would be very involved in mental activities, and the nature of the house would be changed accordingly as the individual would tend to communicate through emotions or the mental responses would be conditioned by how she/he relates to her/his background.
