She's just the hot new whatever, she's basically a gimmick as far as I'm concerned. Her music is boring and all of her songs pretty much sound the same (all of them use the same sounds).

That said, I don't find her disturbing at all. She sings about sex and is a bisexual... OMG WEIIIIIIRD. She's not any more disturbing than Britney Spears or Katy Perry or even AMY WHINEHOUSE (who I think is more disturbing than Lady GaGa).

I love fierce Aries women. You can't deny that she has the power to influence others, as you can see Christina Aguilera copied her look when "Just Dance" was released last year. I enjoy someone a little quirky and daring in the industry, even if they lack serious singing talent, she's still entertaining and has everyone's attention.

i agree with what was said about Britney Spears having soul in her voice. songs from her latest album 'Circus' really showcase it off, like 'Blur' and 'Unusual You'. and it IS sad that her label advise her to release songs like 'If U Seek Amy'. she should be more daring in her approach, as i believe, although she may not be a belter like Christina Aguilera, her voice is very unique.

Yeah we can tell you don't like her. And usually when that happens, I prefer to look at synastry. I don't think there's anything particularly WRONG with her. I don't think she's crazy, nor do I think she's "disturbed." It's obviously all in the vibe you're getting from her, and for that we have to see synastry.

For a while I wondered if I should write the cynical thought that first popped into my head, maybe, yes.....just another attention-seeker on the make.

The Katie Perry song about kissing a girl, horrible catchy tune. Listen to that and it stays in my head for hours. Which is unpleasant.

P.J.Harvey is more my kind of thing. Maybe I am just an old hag, past all this prancing around kissing girls with cherry chapstick, and maybe I just don't get the depth and orginality.

I'm not familiar with any of these new.....hesitate to call them artists', songs. And don't care to hear them either. Seems like alot of it's all about making out with other chicks and other sexual, violent or materialistic bs.

I'll stick with the classic rock. When people with talent who actually played real instruments, wrote their own lyrics, put together and developed bands and had decent singing voices, sang with heart and about love.

Today, it's all a big game, all about money and selling sex, among other things.... Not about talent.

To be fair, Lady GaGa used to be just a songwriter and wrote a lot for Britney Spears and Akon. She went to NYU's Tisch School of the Arts for music before she became a song writer for Interscope Records, so she does know her stuff. She could be really amazing if she wasn't signed. That's the thing about record companies, they ruin really great people most of the time.

Did her lyrics have any substance back then? Because they sure are garbage right now. I now realize that even ever since I was a youngster I never really got into pop music, and nowadays it's just REALLY bad, mindless, superficial, spreading a negative message, promoting sinful behavior etc etc etc.
I know I sound like a crotchety old lady. Just venting

What this world really needs is some originality. Sigh.

And it's true, if you happen to hear any of these songs somewhere you can't get them out of your head. It feels like I'm being assaulted!

I don't really like any of Lady Gaga's songs, so I've only listen to them once and they do make good dance songs for like Prom or whatever.

If someone my age gets influeced by a pantless robotic daning blonde with wacky sense of fashion, then they really had no individaulism to begin with. I am not angry at her for being bisexual, more power to them but I am tired of my aunt and other wacko moral nutters thinking their children will turn out gay because of the media..

It doesn't work out that way, atleast to me..yes I am gay but life shouldn't evolve around "sexual orientation" and "sexual endevors", even though there is still some intolerance and discrimination out there but I am pretty sure it will not be stop by two half naked girls or guys kissing eachother on MTV.

I want to be understood and accepted as a person..not a damn sex fiend..

It doesn't bother me that Lady Gaga may or may not be bisexual, what annoys me is that she uses it as a gimmick to sell records, like Fakety Perry. Then again, there are alot of straight artists who do the same thing, but I guess thats the name of the game in the music world today: All sex, no substance. *sigh* I miss the 90's.

She has only written one song for Britney Spears - "Quicksand".

Britney proved to be a much better writer in her song "Mannequin", hence my name. a very personal and revealing song.
