I thought about picking up her other books at Borders because the first one felt rushed and seemed like a prewritten presciption for Lithium, my Grandfather use to take Lithium and he is also diagnosed as Bipolar, Bipolar runs vampant in my family and I wanted to better understand it from someone who has personally gone through it themselves (3rd House Pisces Moon) but I felt she answered the "professionalism" part of a working Bipolar person in society but she left (family and relations) a blur but that could be because Bipolar people are sometimes known as the "Ultimate Bridge Burners" but it's because of the fluctuating moods. Also she as some similar placements to myself only a fixed sign(Leo) stellium in the 8th house all conjucting eachother and squaring Pluto in Scorpio. I don't find that shocking or disturbing at all, Plutonian issues are the ones I have the most trouble with..I consider Saturn a more friendler then Pluto but thats for another post though. With that I find her very interesting and I did somewhat study the fake chart but felt it did not really fit her..though Cancers are described as moody but they rarely have "black moods" like Plutonian/Saturnian types. Charlie Kaufman has Mars square Pluto (without the benevolent influence of Jupiter, or the stabilizing influence of Saturn), and he seems like the sweetest, most gentle man. I think its important to remember that these aspects, even the difficult ones, can be used to great effect. Oprah Winfrey has it, too, and here is what one astrologer had to say about it: "Mars square Pluto gives her a powerful will; when she wants something, she pursues it relentlessly until she achieves it. Intense power struggles are likely. She is capable of great achievement if she uses her energies for constructive purposes." Bruce Lee had it, too, and we know how he made use of it. William Bourguereau had Mars tightly opposed Pluto, and, again, he seems like a perfect gentleman who harnessed these powerful energies to create some of the most exquisite paintings the world has ever seen. Sure, you can find examples of people like Osama bin Laden and Andrew Cunanan, but the names of people who were not corrupted by these aspects, but, instead, were motivated to transform and transcend (pluto) their egos (mars) are equally within reach. Some of the most difficult aspects possess the most potential for good. For instance, Venus square Neptune can produce artistic ability and/or truly mystical empathy and compassion, or, it may just result in:"...an unrealistic imagination which has a tendency to create escapist private realities, where you can avoid facing those aspects of life that you dislike or which are too painful... emotional-level fogs and mists, creating a consequence of being unable to see clearly and of being liable to make misjudgements; and which fuels tendencies of self-deception and mental distortion. Sometimes you even 'rely' on these inner fogs to prevent you from seeing the real and true situations regarding yourself and your relationships. Often these emotionally rooted problems are associated with impulses from the unconscious mind, and there can be a pattern of guilt, self-sacrifice and martyrdom operating within you at a deep unconscious level... vulnerable to deception, prone to suffer from your own reality projections and filters,... you can be almost belligerently defensive at times when you believe that others are opposing you... psychic currents seep into your 'aura' and mind at an unconscious level... often your choice of lover or partner results from misjudgement... Often there is a need to rely on others, or on an ideology or religion... likely to attract you towards involvement with minority cults or foreign religions because of their glamours and strange fascinations. These can be a seed bed for additional confusions and distortions if not carefully approached, and you may discover that you have been too indiscriminate in your choices... the need to redeem negative patterns dominating your life... needs for multiple partners... unfulfilled sexual imagery and desires may be intertwined with underlying and repressed emotionally based complexes, or are practised secretly and conspire to build an area of denial in your life... relationships need to be redefined, so that any paranoia is dropped,..." http://www.astrologyweekly.com/astrological-aspects/venus-square-neptune.php Makes you think.

I think that negative aspects are not necessarily bad, if we learn how to use it positively. I have Mars oppose Pluto, and I do have some bad anger, but it's hardly shown, and this aspect's dynamics are mostly reflected on the will to achieve balance between having firm beliefs and needing to have a flexible mind that embraces the truth and transformation - Mars (Taurus) in the 9th house and Pluto (Scorpio) in the 3rd house (so the houses where the planets are also plays a role).IP: Logged |

Artistic ability X3 I can relate with it a bit, although the aspect I have is Sun square Neptune. Artists can be conflicted inside and escape to their own inner world, but they can also be aware of both negative and positive paths and then achieve a greater understanding. IP: Logged |

The Unquiet Mind was a good book,...but it was hard to get through as it was depressing and difficult reading about her experiences with her ups and downs.IP: Logged |
