Those headaches are migraines. I get them too, I've been getting them ever since I was 9. You should tell your doctor, he/she can prescribe medication to take at the onset so its not as bad. Or you can take a pill everyday to prevent it all together.

Usually what happens is the fingers on one of my hands will get numb and then one side of my face. Then my vision starts to get all "prismy" and then the headache comes. At that point I have to lock myself in my bedroom with all the lights off and the windows shut. I also try to make myself throw up and because usually after I throw up I start to feel a little better and I can finally fall asleep. When I wake up the headache is usually gone.
