So, here's a wedding chart, drawn up on the hour/day of a wedding. Can anyone point out what they think of this chart, whether the marriage is good/not so good, whether it looks like a decent wedding chart or not? Are these two looking wholly dedicated, and does their union feel stable to you? Is there anything troubling, or intriguing which stands out?

Feedback is welcome... thanks

The 1st and 7th ruler are semi-sextile which is good. 1st and 8th square, which seems bad...for the area of sex. A normal marriage
Maybe its could be about the frequency.
8th ruler itself is well aspected with Mars and Mercury/Sun. Good quality sex, yet not much of it. Once a month

The 12th house is not that well aspected to houses 7 and 9. 12 could be cheating and/or criminal activity.

Ended June 2008. At a guess.

LOL!!!

What makes you think it ended in June '08, if at all, Coffee? Curious.

How do you determine the time of marriage? I'm not very sure about this, but I remember reading an article that says the official time is when the couple say I DO.

Deux, that's about right then... 'I Do' was said around that time, give or take 15 mins (I know, major difference probably).

No one thinks anything of the lovely Grand Trine in there? I'd think it's pretty amazing for their marriage/relationship, no?

EDIT: Me no understand, Coffee... Jupiter square Jupiter how?

Yeah, that Grand Trine looks especially with the Sun and Mercury conjunct. But I am concerned about the squares to Venus. Ack!!! I get paranoid when I see Venus-Saturn square because I had that in composite with two guys that I really liked and Saturn was a total

I wonder what their composite is like.

Jupiter rules house 1. That would be the start of the relationship and I guess the end.

Coffee so like transiting Jupiter was square the chart's Jupiter in June? Or by progression?

If the transiting chart ruler squaring itself indicates a divorce then I guess everyone should aim for Scorpio Rising.

Who said anything about divorce?

If you want to trawl through the information and work it out, or just pass on the details, that would be fine. Relationships not my strong point as you can imagine

Hi MVM,

I purposely didn't look at anyone elses response here so I could have this be clear from my own mind.

The first thing I recommend for anyone getting married is not to get married with the Sun in Scorpio unless you are both don't mind having other partners enter the scenario from time to time. Also, try not to ever have Venus in Scorpio.

With that said, this chart has a pretty lethal T-Square for a marriage chart.

Saturn opposite Chiron both square Venus - OUCH!!!!!!

I don't need to really look at much else. Venus square Saturn in a wedding chart is going to control or freeze the relating process whether through affection or sex. Each person in the couple will have different ideas about values and even social trends and behaviors.

Now I'll reference the Magi Societies ideas about the "Heartbreak Clash". Saturn in tense relationship with Chiron is a strong signal that the relationship or marriage will end painfully.

This chart has all of that in just that 1 T-Square.

Because there are no numbers on the chart, and I won't spend the time trying to pick apart the tick marks, I can tell you that if I saw the numbers I could predict/project exactly when the relationship was going to end.

Pluto in the 12th House closely conjunct the ASC is also another strong suggestion that when Pluto crosses that ASC by transit and/or Solar Arc, there will be such a strong and heavy change that it threatens to destroy the marriage.

Wow, this chart looks a lot like the chart of a friend who married November of 2004. Obviously the chart you posted is around 2 years after that time but with the same exact T-square and also with the Moon conjunct Chiron. That's also not a good thing to have in a chart.

Now I'll go look at what everyone else is saying.

You guys are awesome! Geo, well-said!
Coffee, nice job too (the marriage ended officially in April, so you are close)

I wish you could see the numbers and stuff, Geo...
It's actually a chart from my own wedding, which was done a day before my birthday (we married September 13th, 2005)

Very true about the Saturn/Venus... there was a serious freeze on affections and waaaay different ways of handling things. The marriage ended in April, 2008. But I'd say in September 2007 is when it was pretty much destroyed and beyond repair.

You're so right about Chiron... I was looking at that and going, Whoa.. this can't be good lol.
Funny, most of these aspects were my own transts at the time:
-Pluto squared my Sun
-Saturn squared my Venus (and eventually my -Mars and ascendant)
..among other fun things.

In my own chart I have a Moon/Chiron conjunct, and we shared that in synastry.

Yes, things did end VERY painfully. Actually, the ending was the easy part. The 1.5 years before getting to that point were nothing short of HELL.

In the relationship composite we had Sun, Mercury, Venus, and who knows what else in the 8th. All in Scorpio... packed 8th house.
We also had a Grand Air trine in there...so there was a big love element going on for sure, but also just sheer pain.
Venus isn't so badly aspected in the composite at all, it's Mars which got NOTHING but challenging squares. Lots and lots of fighting, arguing, almost violence.
Yes, I am not a big fan of Magi, but I can't deny the Venus/Saturn/Chiron theme... it was really prominent.

Nice, job, guys. Thanks.
If anyone else wants to point something out, please do

Wah! I suspected this was your wedding chart.

If you knew then what you know now about astrology and all this stuff, what would you have done differently? Would you have chosen a different wedding date/time?

Deux, yes, I would have chosen a different time entirely. Or probably not at all (hint: it's usually a bad thing when you throw up the night of your honeymoon)

When we married, we eloped, and the date was loose because we were marrying outdoors and the weather was weird (lots of rain). So we were stuck on the 13th. I wanted an earlier date in September, maybe the first week, but it wasn't possible. I don't know what the moon phase was at the time, have no idea. I would've chosen a waxing Moon, or a New Moon. I'd have probably also checked the dates for the whole numerology deal. Yep. Would've gone all-out probably lol

He was a Cappy, I'm a Virgo, and in the chart we have Cappy Moon/Virgo sun in trine, so that was kind of cool to notice.
I don't know if I'd want to marry so close to my birthday if there's a next time. A bit weird. I'd prefer the moon in something else too, would definitely look at some charts for the day, and avoid crazy Chiron/Saturn aspects.
