Not really. Soon I will be joining you, though.

This bit might not be helpful, it all sounds so easy the way s/he puts it:-

http://www.aquariuspapers.com/astrology/2007/01/saturn_conjunct.html

quote:
Saturn will again conjunct the Pluto in Virgo generation, those born between October 1956 and July 1972, between September 2007 and Summer 2010, and again between October 2036 and November 2039. Thus what this generation will go through 30 years down the road bears a direct relationship to the choices, decisions, purpose and wisdom the Pluto in Virgo generation will distill out of their experience beginning September 2007. We'll go into the Pluto in Libra and Scorpio generations tomorrow.

Saturn conjunct Pluto is said to be a difficult aspect, but I believe that's only true if you have not learned how to deal with inner "shadow" material, since these two planets symbolize the darker energies in all of us, individually and collectively. Saturn shows us whether we do or do not enslave others, or have the tendency to be enslaved by a thing, person, or idea. As Pluto is the "Lord of the Underworld," it is easily seen how it could represent major shadow material.

We are told that Saturn brings "lack" to whatever it touches, as well as "binding force." Saturn narrows while Pluto concentrates. Saturn gives form and focus, while Pluto purifies. Saturn structures or restructures whatever it touches, and when it comes to visit Pluto, expect that your life will be restructured and purified from top to bottom.

It brings a definite conclusion to whatever seed patterns cannot grow in your future, while incorporating structures in the life that will yield growth over the long term. This combination brings about radical change, often with explosive force beyond individual control, overwhelming whatever rules and crystalized structures have existed before then.

thanks bm. is it also in your 5th house?
things are changing in such a way that they wont be changed back.

maybe in the long run for the good of all, but of course that is just something you have to believe in even when things don't look so good.

in other words it pushes you to the point where you MAY explode, and shatter unproductive patterns you have been holding onto for whatever reason, often unconsciously. pluto in 5th is hard, and your kids may act out your worst fears.

personally i have found prayer to be the best antidote! prayer for the ability to see things a different way, prayer that the objects of my anguish might find their way and stabilize themselves, prayer that i not perpetrate any permanent damage on anyone, prayer that the boogie man will go away and discover true love...if you catch my drift!!

and i don't go to church or believe in any "average" "God" but prayer is sooo powerful, especially if you're good at visualizing. prayer with thanks not the begging kind work best for me.

pluto/saturn conjunctions are very powerful. so you have a lot of power at your disposal. i hope you don't turn into a human a-bomb, but resisting the obviously called-for changes usually just brings more pain into the equation. i can't say i necessarily handled any tough pluto transits "well", but i've lived through this one (when i was still a kid) and the square to saturn and i am much stronger now than then! my sat is in the 7th though so the child/creativity/romance aspects don't apply with me. i've got it(pluto) opposing uranus there now and i'm thankful that uranus is not a "personal" planet even though it's my chart ruler and has always FELT personal to me!

i think often the hard pluto transits take away from you what you cling to but don't need, so don't worry it will take your kids, but maybe some of your challenges with them. i can't say that i have always responded consciously, but the work has been done anway, and on looking back i can see - it was good.

No, mine is in the 10th. It is also conjoined to the Moon so I expect to get an emotional hammering. Right now Uranus is starting its attack on the other side of the chart. It's working its way around to oppose the Moon when its done with that.

its actually the saturn transit. my pluto is in 5th.

just passed my uranus which is also in 5th.
during the conjunction with uranus..., i had a grandchild, and i had another grandchild that was miscarried.

great suggestion kat, on prayer.

i feel like i am making decisions that are cutting the umbilicial cord so to speak, and i am scared to lose my kids in the process.

tough transit.

cpn i won't tell you what to do. but i think your kids will still be there when this is over. as my sister said to me once "you may lose them for awhile..." but in the end they're unlikely to stay lost.

again, not telling you what to do. you know better than i! and just want to remind you that if you don't take drastic steps things are going to change anyway. in fact my pisces moon often takes advantage at times like these to "let the universe do the walking" if you know what i mean...sometimes you don't really have to do much, just take one step in the direction you think you have to go?

I had transiting Saturn conjunct my natal Pluto (which is in 5th house) starting its first pass in late 2007 and making its final pass in mid 2008.
It started with my daughter moving out of home on a whim and taking off to go live interstate where she knew nobody, had no money, planned to live at a backpackers, and had no job prospects other than a weeks work at the Royal Melbourne Show. She was in a destructive addictive relationship and she knew it and decided to physically remove herself from the situation so she could get out of it, get over it and get on with life.
Her Cancerian mother (me) went into meltdown but she had just turned 19 so I couldn’t stop her from doing it and what’s more she was doing precisely what I used to do at that age – take off without a care in the world.
She did fine, had so many experiences and in her words was the best thing she has ever done.
At Saturn’s second pass she was back home with me and very broke but thankful for the experience and was even planning to go back interstate. Two days before she was due to leave she met someone and fell in love so decided to stay.
At the final pass of Saturn she moved out again to live with her young man.

This transit also had a somewhat chaotic effect on my own relationship and we separated for some months and reconciled at the final pass.

I remember that I was dreading this transit when I knew it was coming, I have a tendency to expect the worst but in hindsight it was a positive growing experience.

I am having the same transit now in my 4th house. It isn't an easy transit for sure.
