quinnie's "INVESTIGATION" thread got me looking at this little baby. though not all bad, there's plenty of "evidence" that it does go with major disasters and evil events... anyone know algol personally or have any interest in it? i have noticed lots of knowflakes have it conjunct notable points on their charts (its at 26 taurus)

and that it is currently squared by the JNC conjunction, statistically a time when its unfortunate reputation seems to be born out!

this article is long so i won't post it all here but i found it fascinating...

Kat I thought we could refresh with a previous thread. I think it's difficult to find alot of material about Algol (and the fixed stars) online... but here is a link to that thread to get us started... http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/200973.html

SNode: Shah Reza Pahlevi of Iran; Manly Palmer Hall, astrologer; Sam Goldwyn, producer; Pierre Trudeau, Canadian PM; Natalie Wood, actress;

On the personal charts of ordinary people, it can manifest in positive and interesting ways. A young couple who asked for an electional chart for their wedding were not fazed when I told them they had chosen a day with a Sun-Hades conjunction on Algol, and described the star. They told me it fit very well - they were devoting all their spare time to the nuclear freeze movement! Carl Sagan, another nuclear freeze activist, has Algol rising.
