I am so miserable in my work. I am miserable because I dislike the work and that makes me lazy, then I feel bad (mad bad circle).

I'm supposed to be organising other people and I realise (despite Virgo rising) that I am no good at it. I can do it, but I don't enjoy it. I don't feel at home in my work. I support the aims of the organisation, but that's about it. I don't have any technical knowledge of the work that the other people do. I feel unimportant (this isn't a pride thing as in recognition, glory - it is a pride thing that I want to do well and I'm not doing well because I don't enjoy myself). I want to feel like I'm learning something and I'm not learning anything. I've outgrown the job.

I feel like I'm dying here. The people are lovely but the work is not challenging. It's desk based admin and I don't get out and I don't meet anyone and I'm dying on the vine. There are, I suppose, ways that I could improve it but I don't want to. Total apathy. I just want out.

What I would like to do is work for myself, I would like a creative job. I don't care about a lot of money, enough to pay the bills. I would like to make things, buy things, sell things - online and in person. A bit of this and a bit of that. I would like to go into business with someone. I would like a cafe. All these things are unformed, I know. I just know what I don't want, and it's this.

Is there anything about my chart that jumps out? I don't normally ask for help with my natal as I'm learning with it myself but I can't see the wood for the trees in terms of work.

Astrology aside for a moment, wheels - what is it inside your heart that makes you soar/sing when you do it or think about doing it and making a living with it? What's that thing that you dreamed of or thought about when you were really young, but just somehow became ingrained in you (through others perhaps) that wasn't possible for you to do (as a your work)?

Just through our correspondence here at LL, I would have thought that you are a writer, or make a living writing - journalism or speeches, or just writing for others. Seems to fit you. You are so clever with words - very very witty and very very funny. I always think of you as a writer.

Your Moon in 10th speaks to me that you need to be emotionally attached to what you do.

You've got all those transits, including Chiron, over your 6th house at the moment too, even though the house itself is empty.

You're very creative. You'd be good at making things with your hands. Jewellery design/making.

It is possible that your birth time is off by a minute and you are a Leo Rising.
If so, and with Sun conj Uranus in Libra, you need quite a unique, flashy, creative job to make yourself happy. Something in the Visual Media or Marketing of Rock Band road shows perhaps ? Certainly not a desk job.

Hi PA
I always wanted to be a writer when I was a kid. Not sure what to write about though. I have an idea for a novel but the thought of taking that on is a bit daunting. I haven't got much confidence in my abilities really. I guess the "stop" comes from me. I wrote all the time as a kid and won competitions and then high school started and like most people it robbed them of their feeling of uniqueness. What lights my fire is books, astrology, craft.

MVM writes doesn't she? MVM - where did you start?

Hello IQ. I have my birthtime as 2.45am - it was written on a piece of card that was attached to my cot in hospital - but it seems like this could be rounded up or down. Hmmmm, Leo rising. That's something I hadn't considered.

In favour of Virgo rising is: I love cleaning and my house etc (chills me out) but then that could be Venus/Neptune in the 4th, I love making lists and I am a quite critical. I am also quite reserved until you know me well.

I look quite Leo hair-wise though. Hmmm, food for thought.

From day one with you - in my mind - you are a writer. I don't know why - but I've always thought that that's what you do. And whenever we speak, that's always the predominant thought about you. I think you are so so smart and incredibly clever with words. That you used to win competitions - no surprises to me.

iQ is so spot on - a desk/office job is so not for you. You are massively creative.

I GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE NOW!

Thanks PA, it's hard to see yourself sometimes huh? I appreciate your thoughts, that gives me a little confidence and hope.

I guess first priority is to get my own computer (Pisces has a spare laptop, I may grabit off him like he said I could) and get some time to write then. Get online maybe, start small, sell stuff. I've got an eye for what sells on ebay and stuff, I know that much.

See, I'm abusing work time and this makes me feel truly wicked. But I can't leave. Yet. Work's a funny one huh?

Nothing wrong with a good work ethic wheels.

Saturn's transiting your first. Give yourself a break. I think you are just incredibly intelligent. Positive/honest input from others does help you see yourself. If your inner dialogue is poised at seeing flaws that takes a toll. I've learnt the hard way. People around you can give valuable insights into showing you the best of yourself. Don't discount them because they are a compliment. Take them on the chin, with gratitude.

I think you are so awesome. Don't ever forget that - how great you are.

Blimey IQ. I just did the chart taking the birth time all the way up to 2.44 am and it's AC Leo. It changes to Virgo only on 2.45am.

I would be willing to bet I'm Leo then. People usually would round things up wouldn't they? What do people think? Holy crap. This would change everything.

edited to add: most of my love relationships have been with Leos and I could never understand why. Perhaps this is why.

PA, thanks so much. Sincerely.

I feel today for some reason that I'm letting myself down and I'm deeply bored. Good old Saturn.
to you PA

Wow iQ - what an observation!!!

wheels - if the glove fits...........

I'm very familiar with beating yourself up - but those feelings, they're not static and the pendulum swings sooner or later. If you're bored - it's not right for you - and you owe it to yourself to find what lights you up. Go for it! It's my belief that everyone deserves to be happy and to feel great about themselves. Do what you have to do.

Go for it! If you need support and some fire - we're right here - never letting you forget who you are and what you are capable of.

How freaky/awesome is this! SpankyButler just emailed me this site, and then you mention the NNs.

Crivvens! I just saw what IQ wrote on "Using astrology to make yourself happy"

He says in regard to rising signs:
"Leo rules vital force or the optimism to start the project".
YES! YES!

"Virgo rules the attention to nitty-gritty details, testing of every line of code, testing function, analysis, Pareto 80-20 optimization, writing and checking documentation and systematic bug fixing".

Not so much. I really cannot be bothered. I am a details person but only when it's my stuff, pertaining to me.

Something so obvious.

Ebay.

It's a start. See how you get on.

It might test your eye (as in artistic), see if you can find a niche market.

Nodes: Life purpose for Capricorn NN in 5th says, "my success comes from my joy of production. I love my work."

The key word there is production. Virgoan details work well applied to artistic endeavours and I see Venus rules your M.C.

Those hospital times tend to be quite accurate. In the case of the people I know, anyway. I don't have one. My birth time comes from my father's memory.

The way to get started as a self employed person is to have no choice.
That's how I got going.
Someone pulled the rug from under my feet and you know what they say
"If someone pulls the rug from under your feet , learn to dance on a shifting carpet!
This is where you will find it difficult because you have the safety net of a job.
But this is what you do.
We have a little cafe called the Green Fish in Liverpool. It's tatty and the floors are wooden. there is an old guy in there who plays the harp and they serve beautiful vegitarian food. Nothing complicated.
But it's an oasis of tranquility and eccentricity.
the beauty of these places is you don't need to be on the main drag and therefore pay huge rates and so forth.
Word of mouth is powerful here.
So!
Go and see one of those "Please let us throw money at you" women into business help organisations.
Tell them to earn their ludicrous salaries. (my friend does it, 32k a year...I know!!)
Find a premises. Put your lovely photos on the walls and little quotations from your good self.
Call it "The wonderful world of Wheels of Cheese" (superb name)
Be happy.
You will work 24/7 and never be more fulfilled.

Wheels,

You've got Sun/Uranus/Mercury all in the third house- you NEED communication. So that's what i would bet on. You also have Venus in Sag, and Mars in the 9th.

So, perhaps you need to communicate with foreigners??

Or.

Maybe you need to get up and move. Change your scenery. Start anew. You could write, yes. Or you could try to go into broadcasting. Or marketing. You could focus on International products.

Or you could work in some sort of charity work, maybe? Where you share in everyone's philosophy, or belief in the common goal. You might need to reach out and help people. To put your efforts toward the greater good.

Just a thought.

Oh it has a website!!
No Yin it's not mine. It's one of my daughter's hang outs and she took me for lunch one day and I was smitten!
There is a very old guy who sits there and plays the harp and they feed him (I presume they pay him too!
He plays beautifully and it's such an uncomplicated place.
The food is all there for you to choose and even though I'm not a veggie it's delicious.
Big mugs of tea and coffee with free top ups and lots of interesting people.
