Hi I don't know if anyone here has any experience with horary astrology but thought I would just check it out.
I have been looking for an old photograph that and have no luck so far.It might seem rather trivial to even make this an issue, but this photo has a lot of meaning for me.It is a black and white of myself, taken for a high school photography class.I still have most of my negatives and photos from that class, some thirty years later. These are among my prized possessions.
Anyway the photo was stored in a box that had books in it,it was tucked between two books. It was near some other boxes of miscellaneous stuff that I had never unpacked from a move,in the back room of my house. The room is not really used for anything, mainly just storing items. The photo was in this box for many years.I would take it out from time to time to look at it,then I would always put it back. All the other books are still in this box just this one photo is missing.
The chart for posing the question--May 2 1:30 am --Tiburon CA--Pacific Daylight Time
I haven't figured out how to post a chart yet--
Anyway thanks---- http://s719.photobucket.com/albums/ww197/mpq55/?action=view¤t=astro_w2gw_04_lost_photograph_hp684.gif

The question is---Where is the Photograph?

I'm not sure if a horary can help you find a lost item since it is so broad and I'm not sure what house or planet would rule lost items, but I hope you find your photo!

horary can help finding lost items.

the zodiac represents a compass. the object lost is represented by a planet. I would say Mercury would represent a photo.

the time and location you asked the question is very important.. because mercury is in the 4th house of horary. which on the compass is listed as being north of where you asked the question. Im not sure how accurate this is.. but it wouldnt hurt to try lol.

Agreed about photo as 3rd house. I guess 12th for moving picture, like a film. Both same, I know, just lots of them after each other. Neptune in a T-square with Mercury and Moon doesnt seem the best.

Where is it?

I dont know.

Your significator is Saturn, located in the 8th house in Virgo. Saturn here makes sense as we're talking about a relic from your past, and Saturn rules time and age. However, Saturn in this chart is retrograde, which (in horary) makes it ineffective -- so we'll switch over to your co-significator (the moon) to represent you.

Your photograph is represented by the 2nd house (personal items and possessions). Pisces on this cusp also fits the situation, as Pisces/Neptune rules photography.

If you go by traditional rulers, the photograph's significator is Jupiter; by modern rulers it's Neptune. Both planets are conjunct in Aquarius in the 1st house, so it doesn't matter too much which one we pick -- though I find more accuracy with traditional rulers in horary so I'll call it Jupiter for this one.

The good news is, since we have to use the moon as your significator, there is an applying aspect (opposition) between you and the photograph -- you're likely to 'reunite' with it. Also beneficial is Jupiter in the 1st house, which generally indicates the querent (you) will get the outcome you desire.

As for the location of the photograph, I see a few possibilities. Your significator in the 7th house makes me wonder if there is another person involved -- someone who may have accidentally (or intentionally) found the photograph, moved the box, looked through the books in the box, or done something else to change the photo's location. In Leo, this could have been a child (not necessarily yours), someone young, a cat , or a friend or relative who is an entertainer or 'creative' type.

Neptune in the 1st house suggests you don't have all the facts -- which also leads me to think someone else may have moved it. Or at least shifted its location just enough to give you trouble finding it.

Alternatively, with Jupiter conjunct Neptune in the 1st house, it could be near other photographs (from the Pisces influence), near a place where there's water (sink, water jug, cup, fish tank) or near where you sleep (Pisces ruling dreams). Pisces' rulers in the 1st house also suggests a possible lapse in memory or recollection, or confusion; perhaps you placed the photograph somewhere else and forgot you had done so -- such as moving it to a safer spot, taking it out to show someone, or absent-mindedly setting it down someplace when you last looked at it, after getting distracted by something else.

1st house could also simply reflect that this photo was near and dear to you, though.

Mercury is separating from a square to Jupiter and Neptune. Could indicate the photo and the books (Mercury) are no longer in the same place as each other.

I will sleep on this and see if I have any more ideas for you tomorrow... good luck! I do think you'll find it eventually.

One more idea: could it have gotten wedged inside the pages of one of the books?

There is someone on astro in the horary section who is really good at finding lost items. I found my item because of what they said. You should try posting the chart on there.
