The next few weeks will be very turbulent, emotional and quite volatile on all levels ~ spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. You need to pace yourself, under schedule your calendar and leave room for rest, solace and things that soothe your being! Try to set aside at least a half hour every day ~ preferably an hour ~ for yourself to recuperate from all the swirling emotions and turbulence in your world.
The eclipses are coming! The eclipses are coming!
And they are going to be doozies!
First we have three, instead of two, eclipses. July holds a Lunar Full Moon eclipse, a LOOOOONG Solar New Moon eclipse and ANOTHER Lunar Full Moon eclipse in August. Second, the three eclipses take place in very sensitive parts of our charts. Cancer is the deepest preverbal and protective section, a chthonic, primal, deepest urges section that we don’t have words for. Cancer links to our moon, our needs, our hungers, our feelings about our being and how we are nurtured or not nurtured. Cancer is the pre-verbal emotional and feeling place in our being. Cancer is the infant crying, wailing perhaps, inconsolable, refusing food, comfort and all efforts to soothe it. We will have our inner infant cry and wail.
The opposite part of the eclipse is in Capricorn ~ the totally conditional love, what have you amounted to, what are you worth and why are you even breathing or taking up room on earth Saturn ruled place in our being. Answering to critical Virgo, the Capricorn part of our chart will find we feel extra sensitive to criticisms, very thin skinned, overwhelmed by all we have to do and notice all sorts of perceived slights, disses and dismissals. The Capricorn part of our chart is going to be bossing us around and telling us to “get over it and suck it up!” It has No patience for our inner infant at all! It has no patience for much of anything right now. It is TOO BUSY with matters of the world.
The weeks ahead promise to confront us at our most sensitive, emotional and deeply primal levels as we prepare to move forward fully into the depths of Pluto in Capricorn moving back again, for part three, to the world axis. We have to grow up now and become adults and responsible. We’ll say so long, goodbye, and farewell to the Nodes finishing up their journey in Leo and Aquarius.
Once we had last week’s New Moon, we entered into the eclipse period, which runs longer than usual as there are three, rather than two, eclipses. The first, a Lunar eclipse takes place next to the USA Sun’s degree on July 7.
Last week, we lost Ed McMahon and then, on the same day, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson as the Moon traveled through Leo, triggering the South Node of Loss. We can expect quite a few more celebrity type people as well as the folks in our lives to leave earth or announce changes that involve “loss” such as ending marriages, leaving jobs, breaking up partnerships, moving away or retiring as the first Lunar Eclipse takes place near the USA Sun. We ‘know’ the celebrities or at least feel like they are part of our “family” or “childhood”. They were ‘woven through our life'. They were iconic beings in our culture. We grew up laughing with Ed at Johnnie Carson‘s antics, dreamt about becoming OR dating Farrah and danced with Michael and his revolutionary, life changing music. The celebrities are famous in the United States because they link into our country’s Sun. Part of our country, they are part of our lives too. The celebrities are being eclipsed.
We can lose members of our family too ~ particularly the elder members and especially if they have been hanging on by a thread or two. If we don’t lose them to “death” there can be permanent changes in our relationships to them via growing up themes like moving, fights, health events, accidents, mishaps or ‘I don‘t want to do this any more’ moments. Make sure to tell every one you love them when you separate from them over the next couple of weeks. And try not to part with a fight or with harsh words. Cancer South Node regrets linger long in the soul, being and heart.
In typical make it known so you can’t POSSIBLY miss it fashion, the universe has a PILE of aspects this week that point towards the high level of change we can expect in our lives. We have Uranus stationing to go retrograde for 6 months ~ breaking the dream and creative film in our life for a bit while all this other stuff resolves itself into new places. Mercury enters Cancer and loses his ability with words, dropping into the Cancer preverbal bucket of emotional stuff swirling around us. Venus argues, loud and long with the Gang of Three, hits Uranus for shocking and surprising separations or events and enters Gemini. Venus in Gemini becomes flirty, flighty, indecisive and unstable instead of the solid, voluptuous and grounded gal of the past few weeks. Venus essentially can have a nervous breakdown of sorts. Mercury has a PILE of aspects, 18 by my count, suggesting we’ll be getting conscious even as we are undergoing all sorts of changes in our world and learning all kinds of things. Juno enters Aries so people will be making decisions to end relationships to go their separate ways OR begin partnerships that will be very aggressive, dynamic and active.
Suffice it to say, your job is to simply survive the upcoming process and rather wild seemingly out of control ride. Float along and notice. Cry when you need to. Paddle when you can. Make sure to give yourself time to create what you need to support yourself. It will be easy to pick up old addictions this next patch (through mid-August) so back to the AA, DA, GA, OA rooms or Weight Watchers or the gym to support and hold the changes you‘ve already made in your life. Saturn is moving through the back end of his shadow so once we get to August 20 and finish with the eclipse lunations and Saturn enters new Virgo territory, you will find you have a completely different life! Or at least a brand new chapter, with VERY clear changes to integrate into your being and move forward with in the Cancer, Capricorn, Leo and Aquarius areas of your chart.
Monday Mercury and Jupiter talk! Expect big and probably shocking news. Libra moon has lovely closing aspects for Monday and Tuesday ~ so announce things! Get stuff out the door. Make those phone calls you’ve been avoiding. Get the paper written. Work on your thesis. Connect. Ask for partnerships! Relate. Get out there. Get out there. Make your world a more beautiful place. Get a beauty make over. Connect! Saturn pushes you to clear out your nest and your clutter ~ get rid of it!
Tuesday is rocking and rolling as Mercury starts to make his 18 aspects and Uranus stations in the sky. Mercury fights with Mars today so folks are in the mood to be unpleasant or say things they probably should not say. Be like a duck. Let it roll off your back. Or act like my cat Max does with the new kitten Remoh in the house. Max swaps him down with his paw, bites his neck for a second and lets Remoh go ~ the simple dominance of a 16 pound cat to a 2 pound kitten who is annoying him and trying to bite his tail. Swat them ~ kindly ~ and bite their neck for a second. Then release. Jupiter’s aspect to Uranus suggests you are in for some MORE interesting news or changes in your world ~ on some level you've known they were coming and they actually are GOOD for you!
Wednesday, Uranus stations to go retrograde until December 1. Complete craziness today. The film breaks. The movie stops moving forward. What ever breaks or leaves today, let it go. Time for both of you to move on. No regrets. No delays. It is time. This is the end. You’ve known this was coming for a while. Now it is here. The old chapter closes. The new chapter begins. Life as you know it shifts today into a new form. Yes it can HURT as Venus in late Taurus squares Chiron ~ some one is going to be cold. The other person is going to be hurt. Algol ~ the fixed star of Medusa’s blinking eye is involved so have a witness and watch for people losing their heads either mentally, emotionally or physically. If you have violence in your relationship, this can be a violence day so be careful. Watch the drugs and alcohol. Mercury has six aspects today, encouraging you to move forward and not go into it. Part in peace. Just walk away. It is time. Venus and love has tears today.
Thursday is a volatile day. Venus is a bit out of control today as she aspects Jupiter and Uranus who were cooperating with each other just yesterday. Dreams are especially volatile and crazed. All to the good. Pay attention to what they tell you. Juno enters a new sign and era of partnership as she moves into Aries. You can refresh or renew existing partners or move forward with new ones with passion and inspiration. Sun has stress aspects with Neptune. All good things come to an end. All bad things come to an end. Endings are part of life. Understand the ending is PART of the story. The next part is the beginning! Which is huge! A huge new beginning. And a new nest or home to settle into and live in.
Friday is another volatile day. Mercury loses his objectivity today and gets completely out of control and emotional as he enters Cancer. He also fights with Juno so today is the day you can have words that end the relationship forever. Try not to have those words. The person was in your life to help you deal with your Shadow. Their job was to help you see the part of you that you have trouble owning or being connected to. They have done their job. You've begun to own this Shadow part of yourself (or not). They've done their job. They are moving on now. Or you are moving on now. New reality. New times. Sun and Mercury have many aspects today that let us connect with one another on a different level if we are open to it. Try to understand what the adjustment will mean for you. It means many things on many levels. The purpose is to move you to your next level of being. You are ready, even if you don’t think you are.
Saturn’s day Juno settles into a new relationship that seems to work well for her. Mercury is opposite Pluto so you will hear sad news that is part of the process of life. Time to move on. Mercury and Pluto are on the New Moon from last week and the nodal axis so you’ll have known this news was coming. And come it did. Happy Independence Day!
Sunday Venus enters Gemini becoming a bit unstable and out of control. Watch spending and addiction behaviors on this one. No you just can’t do one. Venus has pleasant and easy aspects to the Node and Juno suggesting she‘s ready to move forward and partner with others in a new manner. Mars has a brilliant idea and aspects Pluto to make it happen after he had his fight with Chiron earlier. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. I suggest you do it the easy way. The situations that are changing in your life are changing because it is time for both of you to move onto different things or chapters. The energy available to you about creation, consciousness and understanding is enormous if you take the time to look deeper into the matter rather than reacting in your usual manner. Its all about your Shadow ~ you are coming face to face with the part of you that you are most afraid of. Hang in there! It will be alright. Focus on the changes taking place before and in you instead of on the fear. You will be alright.
And the eclipses haven’t even HAPPENED yet!
Mundane:
The Solar eclipse on June 21 is visible across Iran, India and China. We’ve been watching what is going on in Iran over the past weeks since the challenged elections. India and China will face their own challenges next. Eclipses do two things ~ take out existing power structures or encourage the new rising stars to take over and “eclipse” the old and tired stars.
The Solar eclipse is a LONG one. We astrologers say the events begun under the eclipse will be working with us for as many years as the eclipse is long ~ 7 years in this case. More about that next month.
