I agree with him, it sounds like chemistry--and it sounds wonderful! Enjoy it. Someone on another thread posted that an astrologer had advised not to even look at the synastry until a year into the relationship, because otherwise your preconceptions based on the synastry could actually shape the relationship. Sometimes not in a good way!

If you do look at the synastry:
a) make sure both birth times are exact and accurate--even 5 minutes make a difference
b) look for conjunctions between planets and the other person's AC, IC, MC, DC, and Nodes...those give a deep, powerful, "fated" feeling to the relationship
c) check out your draconic synastry and your natal to draconic synastry. Some people believe the draconic shows past-life connections (I personally believe it shows the relationship at a deep "soul" level)

For general romantic attraction, look for the synastry connections between the love asteroids too - Eros, Psyche, Amor, Valentine, Cupido, Juno.

For fate/destiny/karma - asteroids Destinn and Karma are a good start.

Now a bit more complex - this is for checking for evidences of fated/soulmates connections or even past life connections (if one believes in such):

- look at the draconic-draconic and the draconic-tropical synastry;

- look for the aspects to asteroids DNA/Alma/Spirit/Angel.

Note that the connections in the tropical synastry are what really matters, as the tropical aspects are what would physically manifest.
